Roles
Civilian: You get to lynchmob people by day. And maybe die by night. Everybody who is not something else is this. (Durr)
Mafia: Masquerade as a citizen by day, pick a target by night. PM me who you want to kill!
Fool: Your winning conditions? Get yourself lynched by the civilians.

Since I'm not expecting that much of a turnout, our Mafia's going to be pretty vanilla.Our theme, if nobody has any objections, is FNG’s Lucca Grail War, and I’ll be your narrator for this round.

Each day will play out in two main phases; ‘Morning’, where everyone can discuss lynching of supposed mafia members, and ‘Night’, where the mafia members may plot and discuss who they wish to kill. Specialists, such as doctors or jokers, will be revealed when roles are sent out.

Post here with the character you want to play it with if you’re interested! I’ll be leaving this open for a 72-hour period to see who wants to join in~

Welcome to FNG HA. Or something like that. Anyway, for some unknown reason, the Grail War managed to get itself postponed for some reason or another, so, as boring as that might be, I guess Lucca is safe from magic killSAT-ing for a while yet. Or at least until Lucy and Tammy come back from their honeymoon.

On the other hand, a couple of pretty shady individuals seem to be taking it upon themselves to eliminate former participants, so I suppose things sort of balance out. Still, property damage is always more entertaining than shady back alley murders.

How do I know this? Well, Alex McCeol's splattered remains were found at the base of some skyscraper which really isn't important. Some people are pegging it as suicide, but really. She's loud, tsun-tsun, not to mention a player character.

And a player character never goes and jumps off a cliff/plane/skyscraper/very high place just because they feel like it. Well, unless their writer decides to bail on us. But I'm sure that wasn't the case here. Since, y'know, I know these things.

Anyway, just in case it wasn't clear already. I'll say it once more for your benefit.

Alex McCeol was killed during the night.

No more lynching privileges for her, I guess. Pity.

And, of course, as is in all conveniently contrived horror/thriller plots like these, the killers are among you. Get lynching!

Cast your votes by posting in this thread. Whoever has the most votes against their name gets lynched. You have 48 hours to decide who you think did the killing. Try to avoid ties, though, since they just create more work for me.

If there's a tie, I'd probably either extend the deadline, or ask one of the good folk in the bawks who they think did it. Or, if I'm feeling particularly evil, just kill both at once~

Greetings fellow citizens of Lucca. And Servants from across time. I am Bedwyr Bedrydant, and I am standing to reveal before you all, that as informed earlier by our sheriff, Alex McCeol has committed suicide.

*Pauses for murmurs* Yes, I know. Ridiculous I say! She could not have done such a thing, such a bright and edgy young woman in the joy of life would not have done so! Not at all! She had a succesful music career and a loving Servant... Ok a nice Servant... ok she just had a Servant who hung around.

As such by rite of first post in the morning I have called to order a meeting of like minded civilians *Peers at crowd* the rest of the civilians anyways.

Ah well, power is in our hands then.

Ladies and Gentlemen.... and Houyi... we must do something about this. This... this was no accident! Velocity charts taken by our esteemed police force (which seems conspicuously absent) indicate a large likelyhood that Alex McCeol was DEFENESTRATED! Such an awesome word this entire post was written to say it

As such, the killer must be among us, the remaining civilians. At least those who are currently attending. I have taken all names, and now us 10 have executive power. To kill.

Let mob justice rain supreme! Together we can find the killer. And via my scientific evidence skills ( Forensic details here. ) I have determined the killer is none other than Boudica Iceni!

She possess the necessary strength to throw a person from a building, as well as a quick means of escape in the form of a summonable chariot.

I await your rebuttals, and attempts to change my mind, but hopefully I look forward to your swift agreement and dealing of a true king's justice.

Ehhhhhhhh? She couldn't have done it! I think she's a very nice person, kind of like a mother to us sometimes.. she doesn't look the killing type either.. too pretty to kill!

Hmmm..

Houyi could have done it. She dresses very dark and suspicious, not to mention she's an Archer, so she can shoot people easily. But... she cares for humanity too much to want to join the Mafia!

I'm not one to point fingers though... not unless I had a feeling it was someone... So... I'll just not vote! You can do that.. right?

I sit quietly at the edge, patiently waiting for Bedwyr to finish his speech. Just how he could be so blind is beyond me. It is simple enough, this murder. Everything reeks of a jealous killing; why else would someone lure Alex McCeol to the top of a building simply to push her off? Looking at the faces of the others joined around me, I know who did it.

As Bedwyr began to sit, I hesitantly take his place as speaker. Clearing my throat, I begin my counter argument. "People, while Bedwyr has very impressive and conclusive evidence, I feel that he has forgotten something very important. This murder requires thought, planning. The victim was lured onto a building and then pushed off. Obviously, the murderer was someone that Alex McCeol knew. It is in this light that I feel the mistake has been made.

"While I respect Bedwyr, he has jumped to a conclusion without first observing every alternative. For while Miss Iceni has both the ability and the means to KILL the victim, I do not have any reason to believe that miss Inceni and Miss McCeol were close enough friends to go for a walk on the rooftop.

"No, good people: the murderer is much more obvious than that! There is one person among us who would have miss ALEX McCeol's complete trust! And that person is mister ALEX Wells!" I finish and begin to sit proud of myself, only to feel a nudge from the person sitting beside me. I lean down to listen, and quickly begin to blush. Standing back up, I clear my throat again before anyone can begin to doubt my testimony.

"It appears, my friends, that I have been mistaken. The murderer is not, in fact, Alex Wells, because his true name is Adam Wells. However, my evidence stands. Adam Wells is the killer."

Honestly, this is ridiculous

I suppose I'm next, well....*I light a cigarette* All this "proof" seems circumstantial at best, although I can't say I believe the idea that Mr. Wells is our killer. I mean, the man looks like he'd cry cutting a bagel, let alone pushing a girl off a roof...no offense Adam.

As for someone like Miss Icenti or Houyi? Personally, I'm less distrustful of our warrior and our archer in the hood than I am of The man in the hat! You Mister Archer! You seem to me to be the kind of man that would knock someone off a roof...or out a window*I nod at Bedwyr* and not think a second thought of it.

I can see it now, small girl, all alone, possibly practicing the guitar; and in one fell swoop you knock the poor creature from the highest point for your own unscrupulous agenda, dashing any dreams of hers across the pavement.

The rest of us are far too cowardly, just, or simply too sleepy to have done the deed, but you Mr. Archer, you seem to me to be the kind of man who would do anything he thought he had to.

"R-ridiculous! I'm not the culprit! I have no idea who this girl was. Blaming me just because I don't lack the ability to kill... then, couldn't you say the same for anyone in this room?!"

The warrior queen stood up to shout, defending her innocence and gesturing with her arms towards everyone present. A faint blush appeared on her cheeks as she heard Tetsuro speak and defend her as well, throwing in a compliment, nodding to him in thanks. "Look, she fell off the building, did she not? If I were to kill her, this would not be how." Boudica felt that the point she was trying to make would end up putting her in more risk than she wanted; but at this point, she couldn't simply cut herself short.

"...Yes, if I were the culprit, I would simply take this spear and impale her heart! It is a surefire way to kill, much more than dropping someone from a tall building. I can assure you that this murder was not wrought by my hands for that very reason!" Finishing her explanation, Boudica sat back down, her cheeks puffed up angrily.

"As... as for who did perform the crime... I would not like to point fingers..." She looked aside for a moment, as if hesitant. "But... perhaps it is the very one who blamed me in order to throw suspicion away from them! Bedwyr, it must have been you to perform that terrible crime!"

Ahhh, one wishes to put off her suspicion onto me with a simple alibi! You say you would use your spear, do you?

Well that is easily countered: You are one of the two here with a spear! *Points at Xenophon, who he had not noticed before* If the murder weapon had been a spear the subjects would have been narrowed down to two, putting yourself in grave danger! Throwing someone off a building would definately remove heavy suspicion from yourself!

That way it is difficult at best to pin it to any one person, as any being Servant or Master, or even someone such as the undecided Tetsuro could do this!

However, in light of recent testimony, and additional forensic evidence Seen here .... wait, I apologize, wrong folder there Yeesh fail roll lets lynch the corpse Sorry, this one I am going to have to agree with the good Egyptian, and suggest the man in the hat for execution.

I also have reports that he may have been in the mafia at one point already! Or at least his face claim Men, and women of the city... and again Houyi, I believe this case is now closed thanks to the revelations of the esteemed Aashiq Nassar.

Please make your votes with great thought, and still keep Boudica in mind for further suspicion... she has something to do with this, or is hiding something, I am sure.

Anyway, you dare to steal my suspicion from me! I'm the first person i'd suspect. Seriously, try to mask it as suicide? If i didn't kill them in a brutal and horrifying way for the world to see, that would be my next attempt to hone my acting skills! Truly there is nobody more suspicious then me. Any ideas you have about me wishing to not even harm bagels is clearly a facade created to make myself seem innocent which... Come to think of it, I kinda screwed that up just then.

But now you have beaten me to it, and I would no longer be original in voting for me. So then, who else do we have?

We have Bedwyr, the one supposedly "uniting" us to fight this menace, truly an act intended to not arouse suspicion, and yet in the end makes you suspicious to the trained eye!

...But once again I am beaten to it! Besides, I do not desire to try and lynch a man with such a fantastic dress sense pick who is most likely an innocent man merely trying his best to unite us against this foe using logic.

Still, while i applaud him for his work to unite us, I feel forced to point out the work in doing that may well have clouded his mind in deducting the murderer himself. As such, an unbiased, not to mention amazing, person such as myself shall deduct who it is.

And i am sure it is none other then... Drum roll please... Tetsuro!

Why? Because there is no way he could have done such a thing! A clever ruse that would make most not consider him. But his complete inability to be the killer is exactly why he must be the killer! You are clever Tetsuro, but you forgot you are dealing with me. A foolish mistake.

Guys and girls, would you all CALM THE F*CK DOWN?!

I know that we're all shocked by this event, but we need to keep our heads clear. In a situation like this we need to work together.

Bedwyr, I know that you meant well, but this isn't the middle ages, this is the 21 century, and we can't just start killing people en masse and hope that we'll get the right one, though it would make life easier.

And honestly, the most suspicious person right now is you. By your actions, you planted the seeds of distrust and divited us. Basically, it seems that you did a classic attempt of Divide and Conquer.

However, on the other hand, all this adds up to perfectly and I've learn the anything that seems to perfect, is in reality a trap and well, no offense to Bedwyr, but I don't think that he's even close to being...huh...''subtle'' enough to plan something like this.

For me, it is indeniable that our culprit is a Servant. Let's look at the facts. Alex was very powerful, powerful enough that only someone close to her or someone much more powerful than her could have done this.

The problem with the first category is that she isn't close enough to any of us to permit something like ''a The friendly walk in the dark and oops!~ I pushed you to your death, my bad~''

That leaves only the second category of suspects, the ones that can overpower her and as I said before, she was skilled. There isn't a person here that can say with confidence that they would win against her in a fight to the death.

However, that isn't the case with our friends, the servants.

Still, for the moment we should hold back on the accusations and give everyone a chance to talk first.

"...." Houyi sank back into her chair, light tugging at her hood in hopes of pulling it over her face. She wasn't comfortable with all the attention she was recieving. Espcially since they were mentioning her...*cough* gender. She blushed at the thought. It wasn't that she hated being what she was, it was just all the looks she got whenever Beddy specifically mentioned her. She was feeling rather uncomfrotable with the stares.

"I...um.." She tried to speak up, a challenge in and of itself for the archer. "..I don't think anyone here did it." Houyi's form of speak was a whisper to the average man. But she had said what she wanted to, and that was good enough for her. Letting herself slide a tad more down the seat and under the table, Houyi was content with being ignored from this point on.

Um, well, doesn't look like Mister Archer's going to show up anytime soon, but I guess that's for the better. Anyway, with two votes against his name, I guess he'd have to be the first to go. I kind of liked his hat, but I s'pose the people have spoken, or some other nonsense like that. Well, I guess Xenophon and Bedwyr get to do the honours, since, I'm, well, just a narrator.

Aaanyways, while they do their thing (I think Mister Archer's already fled the country for some reason or other), I must say that null votes, are, to be frank, well, rather boring. Please, people. I'm the narrator. I know that the killers are dispersed somewhere among you. Do I look untrustworthy enough to lie about stuff like this?

Aanyway, the community-meeting or something seems to have taken a while, and Night 2's fallen. Hn. I guess it's time for another casualty.

Oh, right, and before I forget, Jacob Archer's been lynched. Maybe. Or just fled Italy. But he wasn't Mafia anyway, so, well, tough luck.

Well, it's regrettable, but our resident philosopher and most accomplished orator, Xenophon, was found blown to bits behind a Pizza Hut. Witnesses have reported hearing a loud explosion, and the having the masonary over at the far wall crumble. And then they kind of panicked and fled. No other casualties have been reported, and folks up top are attempting to cover it with a gas leak.

It appears that gas leaks are the only excuse they have in their repetoire.

But anyhow, Xenophon's probably dead. I have no idea how an explosion managed to blow a Servant to bits so easily, but as unlikely as it may be, it appears that's what happened. And, y'know, since Servants go up in sparkleglitter the moment they cease to be, the authorities are having quite a bit of trouble finding the body.

Anyway, enough of that. Xenophon died during the night, and it's now morning. Huh. You'd think people'd be more careful with serial killers running around on the loose. Apparently not.

It appears once again I will start the discussion. What I needed to say I got out of the way at the start.

Although there is one thing. Apparently this murderer has a way of killing Servants(Although for some reason I feel strangely depowered without my Master here. Perhaps this is the beginning of something strange).

However this time it seems one of us was coming too close to the truth. Xenophon had accused a man of being a murderer and he died for it! So, at the peril of my own life I will accuse the same man! Adam Wells, you truly are the murderer of Xenophon and Alex.

This will not be excused. Fellow members of this council I urge you to agree with me and vote this foul murderer to his deserved death. I for one can barely now stand his presence.

Adam Wells, your time has come. You tried to sew dissent earlier with your vote for a clearly innocent man. Well, I see through your lies, and I pray that others do as well.

But while you are probably next on my list (to lynch, I swear), I hold my conviction on voting for Tetsuro. I suspect you are Mafia too, most likely Tetsuro's accomplice, but to be quite frank it is quite amusing to see you splutter and you usually post very quickly and your suspicion of me really gets my adrenaline pumping to see if others shall follow suit...

Besides, even if I die through force of will I shall revive myself to say "I told you so!" if it comes to that. Indeed, perhaps death itself would be worth it just to say those words...

Interesting, I may well have been outplayed if you, Bedwyr, are the Mafia and little Tetsuro is innocent! They will naturally vote for me next if my theory is incorrect, if it even gets that far. How exciting!

As an aside, Sir Bedwyr, if i were an outsider observing this, such a banter may be seen as us acting as two different sides when we are in fact one, which would be an interesting tactic. You must have seen some strange battle tactics in your time, I am sure.

I do hope at least one of us is Mafia, it would be very awkward if we chose to fight for no other reason then to appear as fools!
