[Crowe Burst]

June 13 2092- 10:00 AM,Earth time

"Hey, aren't we straying a bit far from the starlane?"

A man wearing a red shirt was piloting a two seated fighter spaceplane into the vast sea of stars. He was addressing a similarly dressed man in the other seat.

"No, it's just right. A few minutes and we'll reach Pluto. Man, to think, we'll be the first civilians in Pluto, huh?"

"Yeah, just don't let the military catch us....Hey, did you replace the chart module? This asteroid sector ain't on the map."

"Huh? Weird. That's really weird. We should've had visual on the Charon station by now."

Out the corner of his eye, one of the men saw...something.

"Oi, what the moldy onions was that!"

"What? What are you-"

The question was interrupted by a squid like creature suddenly appearing from hiding inside the asteroids. Knowing it has been spotted, it chose to attack now rather than later.

"Hey, what the hell is this thing! What in the world...Fire the missiles!"

But before they can launch the missiles, the squid-like being was able to wrap itself around the spaceplane, slowly crushing the craft with it's tentacles.

"I can't...we...AAAAAAGH!"

The craft has been completely crushed, and as a result, it exploded. However, the creature was unharmed. Satisfied that no cry for help has been sent, the creature flew to the direction of the dwarf planet, Pluto. Followed by it, hundreds, no, thousands, no millions of the same creatures...

And thus, the first blood has been drawn.

You shake your hand angrily at the invisible voice from the sky, "Of course I am a guy, you idiot! I mean, look at me. I am not bloody androgynous!"

Then you woke up. You got up, fixed the bed and took a shower, then wore your uniform. You got ready for school, you're average, everyday, monotonous school. You check the time. Yep, you're late, like always.

Riding your space scooter, you go to school. Looking up the "sky", the endless sea of stars are still the same as many years ago. This would be a day like any other, you muse.

Ding Dong, the bell for school rang as the masses prepare to waste their time for this thing called "education". You park your space scooter and walk slowly towards the school.

As you enter the school grounds, you see a female figure approaching you. Who is it?

A girl with flaming red hair and golden eyes...

"Are you John Johnson?" The girl asked me.

Confirming that I was indeed John Johnson, the girl quickly took my hand and dragged me towards my room. Dammit, dammit, dammit. I tried to resist, but the girl's grip tightened when I do, making my hand hurt. And my god, does it hurt.

About her hand, when she touched me, her hand didn't feel like a human's. It was...so cold, yet now her hand feels like any human hands. Weird. I should note this.

When she reached our room, she quickly put me in my seat, forcing me down, then pulling out ropes, she tied me down the chair, to my classmate's shock, and to my embarrassment.

"Oh, what the fucking hell!" The appropriate reaction.

Nathan, a blue-haired divegrass player, who is my friend, approached us, but with a glare, the fieryhead spoke.

"Touch him or you die." Such seriousness...

You said angrily, "Okay miss, I had it with you. I was letting you drag me around the school, but this is too much. Sorry, I'm not into BSDM." OR ARE YOU? Dun dun dun.

"You have a tendency to completely ignore school and just cut class. So I had to make sure you stay." The redhead spoke. Then, turning the rest of the class, "Now, I need you all to sit down and wait obediently."

Her tone and aura commanded the class' attention, but not its obedience. Some nervously eyed for the door. Maybe some is contemplating an attack. However, they were put in their places when she pulled out a gun and fired three rounds at the roof.

"When I said sit down, sit the fuck down." Who to argue with the girl with the gun.

When it settled down, a man wearing a military suit entered, and the redhead stood at attention and saluted.

"Sir, the area is secured."

"Uhh, there was no need for violence. At ease." The man then turned to the class.

"Johnson. You do look like your grandfather." Huh? The old man's old man? I never knew him. "As you might know, you're grandfather is a genius robotic engineer. He helped us build it...Something that might save the world, and humanity."

"Sorry, but I have no idea what in blue blazes you're talking about." You said.

"Of course. It is a top secret project, after all. However, he refused to hand it out even after he finished it."

"Wait, so you just need me? Why detain the other guys here?!" I shouted, referring to my classmates.

"Why? Because...unfortunately, the system is built for young people to pilot it, no matter how much we might dislike it..." The general replied.

"What? That doesn't make any sense at all!" A shout from the back of the class.

"Neither what is happening right now. We've lost contact to most of our colonies. Jupiter and beyond, there's nothing. We can't even know what's happening. We need that weapon now. And who better to ask for help than the friends of the man who has the key. At least we know we can trust them."

Gah, what the shit man. A weapon that only accepts angsty teenagers? How completely unrealistic! Bullshit, man!

"Though, I'm not forcing you. I just need a couple of volunteers. Humanity needs your help."

At that, a few people stood up.

(Alright folks, time to build the party. Who joins you in your quest to fight aliens? Describe them. I need at least three. Don't worry, they're in good hands...hahahahaHAHAHAHA)

[Pedro]

"Greetings fellow Earthlings! As someone who is from Earth, i volunteer myself to pilot this probably inferior-made personal suit!" Says one student on the far end of the class. It appears to be "Spid Leemeet Fiftee", the green-skinned exchange student that just happens to have three eye stalks, claw hands, a slug-like tail instead of legs and a head shaped like a starfish. He appears to have come from the "Distant Nation of Distantialandia", which is probably what explains his appearance.

"Um... I... I'll go with you, if you want... I mean! I'm going to go with you! B-baka! It's not like... like um... I like you or anything... I just.... You'd probably get yourself killed if you went alone!"

Anita Atina, the creepy bipolar girl who always sits beside you in class leans over after Spid volunteers, offering her help just like that. You try to think of a way to get out of it, but the military man has already scrawled her name down.

You look down at the desk and quietly curse your fate.

By the window sits a male student with blown hair and green eyes, and a big disrespect for class rules as he is wearing sunglasses in class (they're on the tip of his nose rather than fully pulled up which is why his eye colour can be seen). His name is Jonathan J. O'Neill but prefers to be called Jack. He doesn't say much, and has a very dry sense of humor and is impatient with complicated explanations.

“...” He volunteers by raising his hand.

[Alfred Di Schwarzwald]

A dark haired young man with cold grey eyes and a mysterious smirk across his face stood and waved to the military man.

"I volunteer. Couldn't leave this fool alone, he'd die the first day without me."

He stated, wrapping an arm around you as if you were best buddies.

His name is Allen F. Murphy, your best friend since grade school, and lives on the other side of the spectrum compared to you both in grades and popularity, with A's and B's all around and a great social life. You often wonder why he hangs out with you, but you accept his company anyway.

You feel as if he has something up his sleeve, as he's always been the guy with the ulterior motive. A slight shiver crawls up your spine which you ignore.

[Crowe Burst]

The military man nods in satisfaction.

"Yes, you people seem like a capable lot." Still kids, though.

You grunt in dissatisfaction, however.

"Damn, if you're gonna force me to do something like this, at least let me have a goddamned opinion."

"This operation hinges on your cooperation. Of course you'll have an opinion. But not at this stage. Unless you want to abandon humanity now."

"Gah, whatever. I'll join up."

Trying to writhe out of the rope prison unsuccessfully, I settle at making the angriest face ever made.

"Alright you folks. We'll transport at a few hours. We'll met in the pitch outside. 3 hours exactly. Oh, and Johnson, if you need us, we'll be at Command Center. Any more questions will be answered there."

And at that, the two left.

"Oh goddamit! Come back here.....AT LEAST FREE ME FROM THIS SHIT!"

Later, back at your house, you finished packing your stuff.

"Heh, I guess this is enough. I guess this is the advantage of living alone. No awkward goodbyes." You sigh as you pack cram your last piece of something in there.

Now, refreshed to finally be able to go outside the colony and into the sea of stars, you go outside...

...and realize you still have time to spare.

What will you do?

A.) Anita is pretty weird and Silent McCreeper is kind of irritating, but you and Allen have been friends for a long time. You can't both go to your probable graves without getting wasted one last time.

A.) Bro's before great life threatening adventures into space. You and Allen have always been tight, even if he's a bit of a sadistic prick sometimes. Not sure about the other two, but you might as well get to know your team.

C) It appears we need some knees and forehead training if we want to pilot a mech, so it's time to slam the floor by genuflecting a goddamn amount of times.

You quickly drop down to your knees, genuflecting. The sheer amount of responsibility of saving humanity is too much and you express it through bowing. Bystanders question your sanity, but you ignore them, as you give your knees and head much needed training.

Anyways, you regain your sanity, and quickly head back to the school, ignoring the whispers of them bystanding bystanders.

You double back at the gym. Allen and the others are there, talking or something. You greet them, and talk to Allen.

"You didn't have to do this, you know."

Smiling creepily, he replied, "I just can't leave you to die, you know. And besides...", he looked up into the starry sky, "I wanted to go there too, just like you. The sea of stars."

"Heh, was it that obvious?"

Yes, it has always been my dream to go there...the sea of stars...and be the best damn space captain (or whatever they call it) there is!

I looked at the other two. Well, they bothered to come and help me, even though I might not need it. I should at least thank them.

"Hey Allen, I gotta talk to the other two. After all, it's because of me that they're gonna risk their lives."

"Okay," Allen chuckled. "After all, they might not live long..." Creepy much?

d.) Let's see. Coolly attractive man brooding in the corner and wearing sunglasses despite the sun going down long ago or the creepy stalker girl who is standing like three inches away from you and waiting for you to say hi.

Let's go find some booze and celebrate our suicide mission with Allen.

A. Might as well give the creeper a chance. Who knows, she might even be interesting. Let's say hi to her, then go get wasted with Allen.

"So, uh, hey?" I address the girl...what was her name again?

"What? Hmph, it's you, the one who dragged me into this mess."

"Hey! That's not fair, you volunteered!" I point out her bullshit.

"W-Well, I just can't let the humanity be placed on your hands s-should I?" Does she have a speech impediment or something?

"Hey, come on. I might be cool and awesome, but the fate of humanity? Would they really put us, just high school students, in that position?"

"...Speak for yourself, I'm not a kid...not anymore..." The girl said with anger in her tone. Did I say something wrong?

Surely they can't be that serious, aren't they? Placing the us into such powerful weapons, or so they described, against a threat that made quick work of conventional military? No, they can't be serious....right?

I shake my head.

"Anyways, we'll be working together right now, so put it there, future partner!" I put out my hand in an attempt to shake hands with her.

"........T-Thank you. But don't think this means I'm okay with this or something...I'm doing this for our sake..." Taking it, she shook my hand. Duh.

RANK UP! PERSONA, STRENGTH!

Soon, after a while, I returned to my good old pal, my friend, Allen.

"Oh, I remember!" I fished out a pack of Alcoholic beverages ^tm and toss one to Allen. "I figured you'd want one, life-risking mission and all."

Catching it, he opened it and took a swig. "Man, I'll miss this kind of thing. Just sitting here, relaxing, drinking with my friends..." He took a quick look at me and resumed drinking.

"You sound like we'll never get to do this again. We'd beat the ass of whoever we need to beat, and then we'll party to no end afterwards!"

He just smiled, and continued to drink.

A few cans later, a space plane arrived, and the military man and the flame head came out.

"So, Johnson, you ready?" The military man asked me.

"Of course! [insert overused line from TTGL here]!"

We four entered the spaceplane, and we were off to wherever....

As we leave the colony, I look back...

Wait, what the hell is that? Is that...a fucking space squid?

"Shit, there's probably thousands of them!" One of the soldiers blurted out.

"We have to go back!" I screamed.

As I moved towards the cockpit to tell the man in charge to go back, Allen grabbed my arm.

"It's too late for them, John." Allen said to me in a tone I've never heard him take.

"What? Are we just gonna let them die out there?" No, there's no way I could just sit down there and watch them all die...there's no way! Anita, Jonathan, you're with me, right?"

Silence filled the room. The two showed no sign of agreeing.

"I can't fucking believe you two! What the fuck did you volunteer for, then?" I stormed to the command room.

"Hey, bring us around! They need our help!" I screamed as I opened the door.

"...What? Are you insane? No. You'll die out there, and all this would've been for nothing." The man in charge said.

"You too? Isn't there anyone in this plane who values goddamn life!"

"We do. That's why we can't just go back. It's just a waste."

"No, don't give me any of that damn excuse! I'm gonna find a way to fight, and no one's gonna stop me!"

I stormed out the room. Goddamit, I have to find something!

I decided to go to the hangar, and stealthily look around for something to fight with. Amazingly, there's nothing. Goddamit! I look around in frustration. Nothing!

Then someone tapped on my shoulder. I turned around, expecting soldiers, so I put my game face on.

She was a girl about my age, with short brown hair and eyeglasses. She's wearing mechanic's clothing, and holding a toolbox.

"Uhh, sir, you're supposed to be here..." She asked me without looking at me.

"Look, you know the situation outside, right? Isn't there something you guys have that can fight?" I asked furiously.

"N-No, there's nothing...if only there was...I-I...." Her head was down, and I just now realized that she was crying.

"I, Uhh...I just need something that can fight back!"

"W-Well...we do have one, but I don't think you'd want it..."

"Don't give a shit. Show it to me."

A few moments later, she showed me the mech. It was a orange, construction mech, armed only with construction tools.

"Good enough. I'll take it!"

"W-what! A-are you sure?"

"Never been sure my whole life!" Shouting this, I jumped at the cockpit.

"ALRIGHT! ACTIVATE! I'LL NAME YOU... FIGHGAR!"

As the spaceplane's hangar opened, a single orange, scantily armed mech shot out, nothing but a nail driver, chainsaw, a goddamned hammer in hand. But it was good enough for Johnson!

As he flies near his colony, he saw that they've already put up a fighting force, and started to engage the enemy.

It isn't enough....

He saw one of the civil defense ships is in huge trouble, as a squid has already wrapped around it, and another one is charging towards it, transformed into a drill, readying to drill it in half.

As I approached to save the ship, in the corner of my eye, I saw three squids approaching another ship, but this time, it's a civilian ship! He won't make it in time if he saved the defense ship, but...

Who does our intrepid hero save?
