DISTINGUISHING FEATURES://Imagine Maaya Sakamoto speaking with a Southern accent in perfect, completely unbroken English; that’s what Abigale’s voice sounds like. She also tends to dress messily, not seeming to care about her wardrobe as long as it’s comfy.[/ul] [/blockquote]
[li]Insufferable Intellectual Gene
- Abigale is a woman mainly concerned with philosophy, knowledge acquisition, and global thinking. She is typically interested in expanding her horizons through traveling abroad, learning foreign languages and cultures, and immersing herself in every detail of the world around her. Abigale thrives simply on knowing; once she finds a subject she’s passionate about, she will search relentlessly for more answers and more information to build upon her current understanding. Indeed, this is a personality quirk so necessary for one of the Alastro-Emeria bloodline to possess and so pervasive throughout the family’s history that one might say it’s “in the blood” so to speak.
Her upbringing has made her pedantic, detail-oriented, perceptive, and resourceful. As a lifelong seeker of knowledge and an inheritor of the legacies of many more seekers of knowledge who count themselves among her ancestors, Abigale is also very well-read in a wide variety of subjects. This can lead to unfortunate situations where she babbles excessively on about any topic brought up, no matter what it is, even becoming sidetracked by merely contemplating the matter.
[/li][li]Temperature Gauge
- Like many Magi, Abigale is head and shoulders above normal people in terms of planning and anticipation, a trait greatly strengthened due to her family’s signature Magecraft. Though Abigale is naturally able to grasp complex operations involving many steps and stages, their necessary progression, and prepare alternatives for difficulties that are likely to arise along any step of the way while trying to anticipate every contingency, Abigale’s careful planning is often ruined by her own on-the-spot whims and overpowering urge to take risks.
Perhaps related to the way her family branched and its resulting development of two clearly opposed elements (Ice and Fire), Abigale possesses a peculiar duality to her character wherein she is both coolly analytical and wildly reckless. Her personal beliefs are thoroughly pragmatic and she is certain that efficiency is indispensable in the pursuit of her goals, but deep down inside she loves action and finds life is more enjoyable if done impulsively, spontaneously, and subject to no schedules or standards. Her ideal analytical stoicism is easily melted by her burning hatred of missing opportunities, but, on the other hand, it offers her a gift for seizing advantages which even she might not have noticed in the first place.
In short, Abigale alternates between a cool, thoughtful demeanor and a warm or hotblooded demeanor.
[/li][li]Chaotic Neutral
- Abigale is fond of ethics, as it appeals to her philosophical nature and is a subject that is very contextually dependent. She is generally very adaptable philosophically because she seeks to understand the world from a faultless, complete perspective and is perspicacious in finding higher meanings through her varied experiences. As a perfectionist with a seemingly endless desire for improving upon her interests, what prevents Abigale from becoming chronically bogged down in her pursuit of perfection is her pragmatism in applying a merciless criterion of "does it work?" to everything from her own research efforts to social norms. This in turn produces an independence of mind, freeing her from the constraints of authority, convention, or sentiment for its own sake. Whatever project she happens to be working on is for her the equivalent of a moral cause; both perfectionism and disregard for authority may very well come into play.
[/li][li]Brusqueness
- To many, Abigale may appear to project an aura of "definiteness" or self-confidence. This self-confidence, which can easily be mistaken for simple arrogance by those not inclined to give Abigale the benefit of the doubt, is actually of a very specific rather than a general nature; its source lies in the specialized systems of thinking that Abigale has been building since an early age. When it comes to her own areas of expertise, and Abigale has many, she will be able to tell you almost immediately whether or not she can help you, and if so, how. Abigale knows what she knows and, perhaps still more importantly, she knows what she doesn’t know. This bluntness of hers is carried over in some variety to most methods of social interaction; though there’s not a scurrilous bone in her body, she often gives honest assessments where a little tact might suit the situation better with nary a thought as to how her comments have negatively affected others.
[/li][li]Free Spirited Mind
- Abigale is a lover of travel and considers every day an opportunity for another adventure. In the right company, she ceases to resemble a proper Magus and becomes a cheerful, spontaneous, and idealistic individual with an exceptional sense of humor. Despite everything, Abigale has retained a playful quality from her tomboyish youth, always remaining optimistic and never fully accepting the seriousness inherent in day-to-day living, let alone in her life as a Mage. Obviously, this degree of levity, coupled with her borderline-reckless spontaneity can and does cause problems for her, but if things don't always turn out as she planned, she’ll dust herself off and jump to the next step without worry. She tends to have a great capacity for faith, as it is good-natured faith that often plays into her ability to win friends in people who would otherwise scorn her. This ingrained sense of liveliness may actually just be a defense mechanism on her part: to be honest, knowing and understanding many things and seeing where events are headed while not being able to do anything about the outcomes can actually be a very depressing position to be stuck in, but she‘s vowed to continue moving forward till the inevitable conclusion, no matter the scenario.
[/li][li]Migraines
- A rare but chronic condition that Abigale finds herself suffering from every so often. Migraines are quite different from the average headache, being a state of cortical hypersensitivity triggered by stress on the brain. Misuse of her Alstromeria Record spell typically provides sufficient stimuli to depolarize Abi’s cortex and trigger these for her (as well as anything capable of crashing the Alstromeria Record) leading to a cascade of events that results in meningeal inflammation. When she gets them, Abigale’s migraines are horribly debilitating and come with the full cornucopia of characteristic symptoms, including brain-shattering headaches, constant nausea, and greatly increased sensitivity to light, scents, and sound. The excruciating pain that the migraines bring can last for hours or even days for Abi, completely putting her out of commission during this time. Painkillers help make it bearable for her, but no amount of medication seems to be able to break the migraines, forcing Abigale to just wait them out. Needless to say, these can be catastrophically disabling, but it’s not something she usually has to deal with, averaging every couple of years or so.

STRENGTHS: // Among Magi dealing in information, Abigale is nearly peerless. Locating, acquiring, assembling, organizing, calculating, and manipulating data are specialties that come effortlessly to her. Scouting is an area where she holds a distinct advantage compared to most others. She is a walking knowledge base with incredible attention to detail and an essentially photographic memory, not to mention sufficient skill in artistic sketching and replicating actions (as long as said actions are not beyond her physical capacity) to communicate and disseminate this information conveniently; these things, more than anything else, make her a remarkable threat. Abi is also very capable of earning friends and forming alliances with lasting bonds and can work easily in a group. Not only is she adaptable from a social and ideological standpoint, the Magecraft she does possess is thorough and versatile. In terms of combat, Abigale could be referred to as a “zoning” character. Ideal battle scenarios for her involve being as far out of the reach of her enemy’s range as feasible; indeed, it’s technically best for her to not even be visible to the opponent in the first place. This is facilitated by her Familiars, who themselves have a particular affinity for long-range combat. Even still, Abigale is an avid boxing fan and is quite capable of throwing some damn solid punches on those unprepared for them, a skill backed up by her ability to calculate the efficiency of her actions, allowing her to see the most advantageous movements in any given situation.
WEAKNESSES: // Abigale has no offensive Magecraft on her own and relies entirely on her Familiars to supply her with combat utility, and although she likes to fancy herself an at least decent boxer, she actually really isn’t. The Alstromeria Record’s prediction capabilities, while helpful, do not increase latent physical aptitude or orientation, rather limiting Abigale’s actual combat potential - she won’t be winning any official boxing matches anytime soon. Thus, personal, direct combat against other Magi means doom for her. She herself is no real fighter and must rely on the Jackalope Sisters Corps to attack for and defend her. Abigale is also not usually known for her reliability; her attention has, of course, a tendency to be very scattered. Her analytical stoicism, in its fragility, will often break down into a playfulness at the slightest nudge from a trusted person. While she usually is able to see the end results of her choices with almost prophetic accuracy due to her capacities as a Magus, she has a terrible habit of only grasping these realizations after it’s too late. Likewise, the complex and intricate plans Abi creates often end up neglected due to her own urges to act whimsically.

MY FAMILY LINE: // Enjoy the show.
MY HISTORY: // Have fun.
MY GOALS: //First and foremost, Abigale wants to kill her great uncle, Fritz, who is also participating in the war. Disregarding that, Abigale is not merely driven by a will to obtain the Holy Grail, but desires to study, analyze, and expose its mechanism so as to gain an understanding of its structure and processes. This is not mutually exclusive with her desire to win the war and obtain a wish regardless, however. What kind of wish she’d like fulfilled could be one of several things… She isn’t entirely sure if she’d use the wish to progress down the Alastro-Emeria path to the Maelstrom of Origins by leaps and bounds or if she’ll sacrifice the wish to save her sister, if that is even possible…[/blockquote]
Gola Digowelodi: The Alastro-Emeria Mystic Code, it’s a set of twelve pieces of medium-sized chalk sticks with the ground-up bones of Abi’s Cherokee ancestors as well as those belonging to a veritable menagerie of animals significant to Native American culture implanted into the chalk’s mineral calcite. The Mystic Code has no other purpose other than to assist Abigale is actualizing Tsalagi Gawonihisdi Anowelisgv Bounded Fields. Conceptually speaking, Gola Digowelodi, being composed of the bones of people genetically related to Abigale who had faith in the original foundation of beliefs Tsalagi Gawonihisdi Anowelisgv’s power was based upon, removes some of Alaya’s attention to the spell as a distortion and therefore Gaia’s pressure on the spell is weakened. This Mystic Code is the primary reason Abigale is able to use the Bounded Field conveniently at all, yet, it seems it was recently stolen…
Do note, while it is impossible rule-wise to even have this at the moment (hence, you know, not having it and merely mentioning it), if one of the Jackalopes were to die during the RPG, I have been told by several mods that Abi would have a spell-slot open that would perhaps allow her to regain this Mystic Code. By the time this happens in the storyline it might not be possible due to circumstances, but, if I intended for Abi to retrieve it in any scenario, I was told I’d have to mention the possibility in a bolded note in the profile.
Winchester Pre-1964 Model 70: But it’s not actually on her right now. It’s just a hunting rifle anyways, so there was no real reason to ship it over to Italy for the war, but it’s worth noting that the Alstromeria Record gives members of the Alastro-Emeria family some rather uncanny aiming abilities (as it can tell them exactly where to point a gun so that it hits its mark), though it doesn’t directly improve their coordination.
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R: Abigale’s motorcycle, which she uses as a surrogate to satisfy the cowgirl in her head without dragging around a horse everywhere like a weirdo. Cowboy blood forces these sorts of compromises upon those that have it flowing in their veins. A motorbike is basically just a less time-consuming, practical, and compact horse that has the added benefit of being loud and shiny. It is also several hundred times faster than a horse, so that works for Abi too. The Ninja is slightly above a “standard” motorcycle; though replete with all the conveniences of comfortable seating, realistic riding position, forgiving steering, and wide power range, it’s powerful engine, a trait passed along from it’s predecessor, the ZX-9R, makes it a superior vehicle. Bikes with a 600cc engine such as this one can go explosively fast, are geared towards experienced riders and, with untrained throttle control, a beginner can lowside before they even know what’s going on. It’s not an extreme sport bike in any fashion, but it doesn’t belong in the hands of the uninitiated. Abi herself has been riding this particular model for the past 15 years. Indeed, Abigale has had a rather long relationship with motorcycles… it makes you wonder how she got from where she began to where she is now.
RANK: // Used to be the unlimited-access librarian of the Atlas archive, but left the position awhile ago.
ELEMENT: // Ice and Fire.
EXPERTISE: //
Infomancy: The manipulation of facts, figures, and history using Magecraft. Atlas possesses absolute dominance in this area; its Alchemy revolves around the “synthesis of information” rather than of physical matter. The Alastro-Emeria are considered particular experts in regards to Infomancy, as the 800-year-old Alstromeria Record is supremely specialized towards it. They're one of those brainy families who work with knowledge acquisition and data mining and they’re very, very good at it. Since its establishment, the family has built their path to Akasha working with the motto “ascension through omniscience” and this desire for absolute knowledge has driven the entire lineage to a point of genetic competence in the field. Abigale herself was touted as a natural genius amongst the family, though, in the end, her success is largely in part due to the generations before her building up such a prodigious Thaumaturgical background. She is no slouch, however, and can be expected to know at least something about most everything using the Alstromeria Record if not her own experience. Knowledge and understanding are things she is never lacking, so Abi possesses expertise in many subjects, though, even having great comprehension of quite a large amount of Magecraft, she is only rarely capable of using this knowledge to further herself rather than counter others.
Native American Shamanistic Thaumaturgy: More properly referred to as Tsalagi Manitou, it is the Thaumaturgical System that the Alastro-Emeria line was able to adopt after intermingling with a family of Native American Shamans due to working under similar conceptual principles. The major results of this are a closer connection to the Sacred Lands (Mana Telluric Current Leylines) of America, the acquisition of the Tsalagi Gawonihisdi Anowelisgv and related Magecraft, and, of course, the inheritance of Inage Tsisdu (Jackalope 00), which lead to the production of the Jackalope Sisters. The irony is that Abigale does not possess great aptitude for Shamanism by her lonesome; this field can be considered an “expertise” of hers merely because she is a practitioner of it.
Athleticism: Abigale is pretty damn in shape. She does not surpass human regularity in terms of athletic ability, but she can run with the best (of a college track team) and easily punch a grown man’s lights out in one hit. Her actual skills in boxing are noticeably flawed, however, though she has had some basic training and is backed up by the calculation ability of the Alstromeria Record. The major reason she has any ability to box in the first place is merely because she enjoys watching the sport, in the end.
MAGIC CIRCUITS: // Abigale has 34 Circuits each with enough quality to process 14 Prana, thus giving her a total capacity of 476 Prana. Combined with her Family Crest, which is 10 x 12 = 120, Abigale would presumably end up with 596 Prana capacity. This is actually not the case; instead of adding to Abigale's supply, her Family Crest subtracts, leaving her with a limit of 356. This is due to complications involving the Alstromeria Record spell, which siphons Prana constantly. The basic idea is that the Circuits are connected to the Crest and therefore always supplying the Record with Prana, hence subtracting 120 Circuits which are ALWAYS devoted to the upkeep of the Crest.
SPELLS: //
[Alstromeria Record] (Ether)
Rank: A
Cost: Inherently occupies 8 of Abigale’s circuits, subtracting 120 of Abigale’s naturally usable Prana supply. When the spell’s domain is manually expanded, costs additional Prana.
Range: Automatically designates itself to Abigale’s immediate area, size varying. Manually manipulating the range requires a cost of 1 Prana per 10 meters of diametric coverage with Abigale at the center. Naturally, 5 Prana gains 50 meters, 100 Prana gains a kilometer, etc. All actual interference with reality, however, is restricted to Abigale herself.
Effect: The signature spell of the Alastro-Emeria clan and the ultimate demonstration and testament to the strength of the Thaumaturgical foundation on which they’re building their pathway to Akasha. A spell on the level of High Thaumaturgy that, with time and the aggregation of data, will inevitably become an exalted miracle. Cultivated since the very establishment of Abigale’s family over 800 years ago when they still called themselves Alstromeria, it was until fairly recently the singular spell the entire Family Crest was dedicated to.
The Alstromeria Record is an incredibly potent, versatile, and complicated infomancy spell. Though it is a descendent of simple scanning Magecraft, its ability to manipulate information is far, far greater due to the other half of its heritage, becoming a conglomerate network of knowledge absorption Thaumaturgy. The Record essentially allows Abigale to read the information inherently “stored” within the location she is currently in, meaning she is able to automatically access accurate data of said location, drawn from the location itself and comprehended by her mind. This information includes anything Abi might want to know about the statistics of an area, which means the objects within it, alive or inanimate, are fair game as well to being part of the scan. The spell can discover names, read history contained within the body of an object or person, count the exact amount of atoms in an area… Even the “memory” of a location can be viewed. The spell gathers all of this data, whether it be for the area itself or the objects within it, right down to the molecular level and projects it all into the Alstromeria Record, almost synonymous with Abigale’s own memory.
The spell in its full capacity (as Abigale uses it) attaches itself directly to the user’s mind and seriously warps their thinking, but the effect is essentially beneficial. The Alstromeria Record is called a “Record” specifically because it is not a Scan spell that merely reveals knowledge, it accurately “records” all information acknowledged by the area without distinction unless manually made to ignore specific factors. However, a limitation of information exists in any specific area. Its history is not the history of every distinct thing that has ever been involved with it, but rather the information that everything currently within the area directly contains. Indeed, if they could obtain the history of every object in another object’s history, the Alastro-Emeria’s road to the Maelstrom of Origins would be one easily traversed, as a door is connected to a building is connected to a city is connected to a nation is connected to a continent, essentially reaching functional omniscience - exactly the sort of goal the Alastro-Emeria family is striving for. At this stage, the Alstromeria Record has become a gigantic autonomous archive or library of data that's been passed down from generation to generation within the Alastro-Emeria family.
The Record can only be used in its total expanse, even by those of the Alastro-Emeria, with the Family Crest and even then one must have at least the same number of Circuits as the Crest or more for the spell to function. It not only was the singular homeowner of the Alastro-Emeria’s Family Crest for most of their existence, it essentially IS the Crest in some ways. Firstly, the Crest contains all of the information the spell has ever recorded; secondly, the invasive properties of the Crest make it perfect for sewing the Record and its functions directly to the very mind and body of the wielder. It's engrained into the Alastro-Emeria bloodline so thoroughly that it counts as their Thaumaturgical Trait and one of the family’s most important members, while having only a single functional Circuit of questionable quality, still had mental traits associated with the spell. It also should be mentioned that information contained within the Record can be transferred to other users of the spell, though the process is rather slow.
For the heir of the Alastro-Emeria family, the Alastromeria Record is always active in some form, at all times registering the information around Abi in the background, keeping her acutely aware of her surroundings at least at a semi-conscious level. In the end, most of the data it gathers is just useless noise, but even that is necessary information in the eyes of the Alastro-Emeria, even if the family heir who obtained the information never scrutinized or processed it any meaningful way. The initial data overload problems that could potentially arise from the user trying to access too much raw incoming data were negated by making the Record automatically "split" the user's brain an appropriate number of times depending on the data flow in a manner comparable to Memory Partition, but through the Record itself, since the spell is inherently connected to the user’s brain. It is noteworthy, however, that most of the archive that the Record possesses isn't even synced with Abigale’s own mind, let alone uploaded into her consciousness - in other words, she cannot access the data unless she manually searches through the veritable ocean of knowledge that the total Record, contained with the Family Crest, possesses. This is for the family heir’s own safety, as flooding even an Alastro-Emeria’s brain with that much data is likely to make it hemorrhage from the strain.
The Prana cost of the Alstromeria Record has decreased substantially in recent years. In its original conception, even if it was less powerful then than it is now, the spell performed an impossible task that was really outside the realm of anything, including science. The spell was considered an incredibly useful addition to any Magus Cabal and the Alstromeria were met with great acclaim. However, the invention of technology such as portable smartphones, devices that can connect to the Internet anywhere, and global positioning systems have in modern times greatly cheapened the immediate information acquisition that the Record solely made possible long ago. As with all Thaumaturgy, observation establishes reality: the Record’s impossibility and thus difficulty in actualization diminished as items that COULD obtain information immediately and map out the world around one on a grand scale automatically were invented. Having functions that are almost commonplace has severely shrunken the distortion in reality that the Record caused in the first place. The fact that it co-opts Circuits is an anachronistic byproduct of the Crest binding to said Circuits in the first place and it’s this generation’s (Abigale’s) responsibility to remove this flaw somehow.
Speaking of said flaws, most of the spell’s drawbacks, especially regarding information organization, have been amended over the ages by the successive heirs, however, it has many clear limitations to act as flaws regardless. The scope of the size of the spell in its standard active form only takes into account and processes the one “area” around Abi at a time, and what counts as an area is limited by enclosures. For example, a park would be considered a single area, but a big cave inside the park that is large enough would be considered its own area and would not be included in the spell’s data jurisdiction. Because of this, the spell can’t automatically absorb the data of an entire building just by Abi entering it: a single room, the one Abi is currently inhabiting, would count as one area. As noted in the range section, however, the spell’s coverage can be manually altered with a fair Prana fee, though at around half a kilometer (500 meters) Abigale is rendered prone due to concentration on her part being necessary to process the influx of data. Indeed, all extremely complex calculations and scenario predictions WILL force Abigale to let down her guard so she can focus on comprehending all of the information she is working with. Technically speaking, the spell itself has no real range limit; Abigale’s brain, however, does. Above 1500 meters, Abigale is visibly strained; about 2 kilometers is her limit before she ends up afflicting herself with a mind-splitting migraine, knocking herself out, or worse.
The ultimate goal of the spell seems to work on the basis of “ascension through omniscience.” After learning absolutely everything, with knowledge akin to God, it is only natural that one would be able to reach out and touch the point of commencement and the point of conclusion, Akasha, which itself could be called “infinite knowledge.” This in itself seems to be an impossible goal, but the Alstroemeria Record is not merely a tool used to ineffectually crawl towards something as unrealistic as obtaining all the information of existence so as to reach Akasha. Why should it? In its current state, it has already become a miniature “copy” of the Akashic Record which can be used to better understand the nature of the Root itself. The leaders of the Alastro-Emeria family have taken to the practice of recording their very souls within the Alstromeria Record itself, a strenuous process requiring two months of constant concentration that ultimately leads to the subject’s death. The soul itself is the plenary record of a human being, something which can normally only be contained within Akasha itself. The souls recorded in the Alstromeria Record are just copies of the soul’s information etched into the Record, but the effect is the same.
Still, the only “souls” that exist within it are those of the Alastro-Emeria heads, whose very concept had already long been attached to and understood by the Record, and yet it still took two months for their souls to be recorded. Souls seem to have many “layers” of information that need to be decoded and certain data present in the structure must be recorded in stringent succession or information in subsequent layers will be rendered incomprehensible. It’s just like not being able to understand a person’s mentality unless you know their past and other such abstractions, except in a calculatory sense. Estimates for recording the soul of someone else have been placed at around two years.
This presents an interesting problem when dealing with the Servants of the Holy Grail War. Normally when encountering Spirits, they are easily identified and scanned, being usually merely phenomena connected to the memory of an area (exactly what the Record is involved with). Servants are a different story, as they are essentially fabrications of the souls of Heroic Spirits themselves created with the assistance of an incomplete Third Magic and therefore fall under the “someone else” category of souls when being scanned; actually, they’re likely two to three times worse than those due to the superior weight of their spiritual existence. Thusly, while it is totally possible to scan a Servant and find out their composition and Class (as that is their “name” as far as their physical existence is concerned), it is utterly impossible to comprehend their true name through this method.
Noble Phantasms are likewise impossible to specify as they represent a sort of “cat in a box” (Abigale really thinks the Root should be renamed the cat of all things) existence that is given definition by the Servant who wields it - in other words, the crystallization of their epic feats is inherently an extension of their soul, and in that regard it is information that is inaccessible unless multiple layers of other data is already recorded, though physical features are still comprehensible to the Record. Once a Noble Phantasm’s name is spoken, its function becomes perfectly clear to Abigale and the Servant’s existence itself becomes tremendously clearer to her as well. The names and data of Magi themselves are fair game, though, as they’re present in the record of an area just like a regular person or object. The tradeoff here is that Abi is also really obviously a Mage due to her constantly circulating Prana used to uphold the spell in the first place, essentially putting her on more or less equal ground with opposing Magi when it comes to direct encounters.
[Tsalagi Gawonihisdi Anowelisgv] (Bounded Field)
Rank: X (E-A)
Cost: Varies. Abigale has no skill in this area and can’t even properly actualize the Bounded Field without her Mystic Code, Gola Digowelodi, which made it cost 30 Prana per ward effect added. Abigale’s sister’s single talent was this spell, however, and she was such a genius at it that she reduced the cost to 5 Prana per ward effect even without Gola Digowelodi; with the Mystic Code’s application, the cost was reduced to an absolutely ridiculous 1 Prana per ward effect for her.
Range: Limited to the room where the text is applied.
Effect: Thaumaturgical adaptation of the writing system created by the Native American linguist Sequoyah so that the greatness of the Cherokee Nation could live on forever. The story of the birth of the Cherokee Language (Tsalagi Gawonihisdi) is one of a poor, crippled, uneducated, and ridiculed half-breed who triumphed over insurmountable odds to bring an inimitable gift to his people that freed them from the bonds of illiteracy. Perhaps because Sequoyah became a recluse in his obsession to perfect the writing system and was thus theorized to be practicing witchcraft, the syllabary gained a spark of potential during its creation that eventually enabled it to obtain thaumaturgical power when subjected to a century of shamanistic practices.
The Cherokee Language is a syllabary consisting of 85 characters with which to form words and build sentences. In the hands of a Mage, the power behind the text can be accessed and a Bounded Field can be established with written Tsalagi Gawonihisdi text acting as a Thaumaturgical formula. As is typical of Bounded Fields, the spell essentially represents a localized distortion of reality within a specific boundary, but the effects applied to the area within the boundary of Tsalagi Gawonihisdi Anowelisgv are decided by the user during the Bounded Field’s conception. The desired effects are written out as though they are laws and, whatever is written, Tsalagi Gawonihisdi circumvents and substitutes natural reality for them. The enchantment is incredibly versatile, a “build your own Bounded Field” sort of deal, and indeed seems quite powerful at first glance, however, the laws written for the Bounded Field must be very simple and very precise, as a single law can only perform one specific function. The Prana cost for a boundary of multiple effects usually adds up quickly, so any Bounded Field made using Tsalagi Gawonihisdi tends to be well-rounded and practical, but never perfect.
Similar yet very different (and inferior) to Runes, Tsalagi Gawonihisdi gained mystical power and aspects through aggregated belief, though unlike Runes the characters have no individual power or meaning. Furthermore, their origins differ greatly, though the underlying concept is the same. For Runes, it can be theorized that a Divine Spirit backed up by copious amounts of faith constructed a Thaumaturgical System with runic texts as its basis. The much younger Tsalagi Gawonihisdi took a more indirect route and is, of course, not a Thaumaturgical Paradigm unto itself, but more like an enchanted concept within a Paradigm. The hidden nature of the syllabary’s creation in the first place created a "cat in a box" situation wherein any ideal scenario could be applied to what exactly went on behind closed doors when Sequoyah isolated himself, in a sense allowing for more than one single, absolute truth to exist in reality, malleable by individual perception as it is.
This ambiguity does not automatically allow the Tsalagi Gawonihisdi to act as Magecraft, however. Such a thing is not aggregated belief, but the most basic foundations for allowing a distortion in reality to exist in the first place. Native American Shamans, eager to expand their own power as quickly as possible so that they could work to counter the encroaching settlers, immediately went to work with reinforcing the syllabary with mystic concepts. If Sequoyah’s isolation was the fertile soil, the particular “truth” that seems to be the seed from which Tsalagi Gawonihisdi’s supernatural merit grew is a fitting belief for Shamanists, who mainly work with nature contracts to begin with, that high-level Elementals, in particular the Great Hare and Akba-Atatdia, came to Sequoyah and passed the writing system on to him so as to save the race of people who gave them faith. It is convenient beliefs such as that which, backed by centuries of Shamanistic practices, gave the young syllabary an extent of mystic power.
Abigale never had an affinity for this spell, however. Perhaps it’s due to her early training as a Magus being mostly focused on the Alstromeria Record, which is considered much more important by her family. Without Gola Digowelodi, Abigale is for all intents and purposes incapable of using this spell and it seems that the Mystic Code was stolen…
