- Cool Under Pressure
- Arthur is not easily impressed or intimidated. He's worked in many different environments against many different targets. He's been shot at too many times to count, occasionally held hostage, and had to assassinate one or two prominent underworld figures. In addition, Arthur is better at improvising than most people. However, Arthur is oblivious to the existence of magic, which leaves him wide open to magical attacks.
- Independent
- Arthur is normally the only agent on site. Therefore, he is expected to take charge and control the situation as necessary. While this is normally a virtue, it is not uncommon for those higher up on the chain of command to attempt to take direct control over a situation and micromanage a scene on the ground. Arthur resents this kind of event and will often disobey a direct order if he feels the situation warrants it. this has resulted in as many warnings in his service jacket as commendations.
- Cynical Idealist
- Arthur is no stranger to the backroom deals and secretive operations which compose the work load of the Agency. However, this does not mean he likes them. These facets of his personality are two sides of a coin--he knows how to exploit people and is relatively skilled at predicting what they will do, but in opposition to that he highly dislikes to do so. Nevertheless, it comprises the majority of his work. He justifies this to himself by telling himself that if he acts personally and dies, the mission will fail, which could, depending on the mission, have serious consequences. Therefore, he must act through others.
- Charismatic
- Arthur Clark finds that a smile and a compliment often weasel their way into a place where threats and bribery find themselves unable to reach. Since this is the case, he has trained himself in gaining people's favor and making friends with them. The part that he is still struggling with is that when someone becomes friends with him, he must reciprocate that friendship to actually capitalize on his new asset. This not only leaves a trail of dead friends behind, but it also leaves a list of old scars in his heart.
LIKES: // Achieving missions, especially with minimal casualties. Being in control. Humiliating people who oppose him.
DISLIKES: // Failing a mission, being ordered around by armchair commanders. Having a friend die. Having to kill a friend. Those who are high-and-mighty. Politicians. Caviar.
STRENGTHS: //
Independence, kindness, patriotism, loyalty, intelligence.
Gunplay, stealth, diplomacy.
WEAKNESSES: //
Hand to hand combat, assault rifles
Independence, patriotic to a fault, empathetic. When one of his pet peeves shows up, he will drop everything else to address it.

MY HISTORY: // Arthur Clark was a normal child, coming from a normal middle-class family. He lived a happy life and went through college with a degree in psychology. Due to difficulties in finding a job in the private sector, he took a job as a Field Agent for the CIA. In his first four years, he took another degree at a private college, acquiring a degree in strategic intelligence. He has run at least ten missions since then, completing each on in detail. His specialty is in infiltration and interception, finding that leaving no trail of bodies is excellent for stealth. While he is by no means the most experienced agent at the CIA's disposal, he is most certainly not useless or green anymore.
His first mission is the one he remembers the best, and when asked (by someone with a high enough clearance) he will offer it as a prime example of his line of work. It was a fairly simple mission: tail a known terrorist and bug his car as soon as possible. But someone screwed up and spooked his target, and the terrorist fled. Two months later he was found on American soil with a set of bombs, and was killed while escaping. Arthur was later informed that a Congressman had opened his mouth in the wrong company and one of the target's contacts had overheard about the operation. Arthur never found out the name of this congressman, nor was the politician ever brought to justice. He promises that if he ever does find out who squealed, he would take revenge on the traitor.
On his third mission he encountered a situation he does not like to talk about, however what is known is that it has given him a chronic dislike of caviar.
His fifth mission was the first one where he was required to take a life. He slipped up during the infiltration of a drug cartel and ended up being held hostage for five days before he was able to escape. The distraction which eventually resulted in his escape was a car bomb outside the building where he was being held. A rival gang was elbowing in on his captors' territory, and attempted to take down the cartel safehouse. Arthur's guards were killed but Clark was able to convince the rival gang members that he was part of their gang. As soon as their backs were turned, he shot them and left. While he didn't encounter any other resistance, he was subsequently forced to confront what his job was really about, and what would be necessary to do to accomplish that job. He spent on and a half months with an in-house psychiatrist working through his problems.
His eighth mission is often used when describing him as an example of his character. He was ordered to covertly escort an American Senator while said Senator was touring the Iraq for a publicity stunt. Nothing ever happened to the Senator, in part due to Arthur's efforts to divert insurgents' attention to different targets. Recently he has confessed that he wanted very much to allow the politician to be assassinated, (he considered it the elimination of a hampering influence, as well as showing exactly what they were up against) but he refrained from doing so because that is what he was being paid for.
Due to a decrease in terrorism lately, he has been assigned to more cases concerning drugs and gun smuggling instead.
MY GOALS: // To investigate potential Mafia activity as gun runners for drug cartels. Several suspicious people have been spotted around Lucca, Italy. In particular, one George Chang is confirmed to be connected to a known terrorist organization. Is it suspected that he will pick up a shipment of weapons shortly.
