- Cloudcuckoolander
- She tends to…go on a tangent and wander around with her thoughts. It’s either her hyperactive imagination or she really tend to see the world in a different light than most other people. While she can be quite ‘normal’, she often slips into ‘thinking aloud’ mode and tend to blab about her imagination, which are often colorful and not quite as boring as the normal world so to speak. As a side effect of this trait, things that can faze her are rare.
- Book Smart
- Despite her tendency to travel to unknown locations with her thoughts, she has the uncanny ability to pick up most of her teacher’s teaching without even actively listening. Her brain can stimulate her memories better than most. While she doesn’t have any photographic memory, she can remember notes better than most people. She can effortlessly take notes while imagining just how much better it is to be a bird, for example.
- Friendly
- If someone didn’t get nervous at Lia’s earlier trait, they will quickly find that she’s easily approachable. She won’t hesitate to answer questions from new people and she has a high tolerance or patience for insults. This is the main reason why she’s in the student council, along with her high grades, so the ‘mystery’ of Instituto Procato di Nostra Signora Flora isn’t so much of a mystery after all. Of course, while she has a high tolerance of insults and the like, she also has a limit, though she won’t display this limit often.
- Outgoing
- She’s an athletic girl and she knows this for a fact. Lia’s good at any kinds of sports and she practices Jeet Kune Do ever since she was 13, and she’s quite proficient at it. She also tends not to get embarrassed easily, and can talk to boys as easily as she can talk to girls. She and her best friend Ilaria shares this personality, which is probably why they get along so much. There’s a joke among classmates that Lia is Illy’s twin and not Ilario, much to the latter’s infuriation.
- Affectionate
- Because of the lack of affection that her parent gave her when she was little (still is, but she won’t notice), she compensates by showering affection to people she perceives important. This extends to all her friends, and to her crush Ilario, though said crush seemed oblivious most of the time.

MY HISTORY: //
The Contis are the ‘royalty’ of the European automobile business, so when Massimo Conti, the heir of the business decided to marry the daughter of the ‘Ora’ newspaper magnate Montagna family, Cloe Montagna, the media expanded on the news. But over time, the excitement died down and Massimo decided to lie low with his family, perhaps a wise decision.
After one year of marriage, the couple was blessed with the presence of their first child, a healthy girl named Emilia. At first the couple did what any couple would do and celebrate their child, nurturing her before she grew up, reading lullabies to her, generally the sort of things that parents would do to a newborn child.
Then it all gradually changes.
Starting on Lia’s 4th birthday, her parents started to drift apart. Lia noticed it first when they’re missing from her kindergarten opening ceremony, replaced by her caretaker Gerta. At first, Lia questioned her parents’ absence, but the questions were met by more excuses, job taking up my time, important meeting, coincidence clashing of timetable, and other sorts of thing. Eventually, Lia got the hint that his parents are too busy, so she decided to never expect anything out of her parents ever again. Sure, they would sometime decided to stop by their mansion in between business trips, and they rarely missed sending birthday present to her, but the family is pretty much separated except select few times in a year. As the result of her parents’ busy lifestyle, Lia grew into an independent child, with a tendency to act on her own.
To compensate for her loneliness, or perhaps to escape the mundane world, Lia developed a habit to let her mind wander away. She tends to imagine the world around her into a more fantastic and less of a boring place to be, in her own little standard. To satisfy or to survive in this ‘made up world’ in her head, she began to take an interest of self-defense. Though it wasn’t before she hits 13 years of age that this interest of self defense had started to become a full fledged need to practice it, she wasn’t quite old enough to understand before that.
Stated before as a method to satisfy her curiosity, she begins to enroll in Jeet Kune Do classes. When her parents heard about it, they didn’t necessarily forbid her from continuing, but they did encourage her to reduce her training in order to not interfere with her school work. To her credit however, Lia managed to balance her school work and training and managed to divert her parents’ attention away to her continuous training in the martial art, though she wished that her parents cared more.
In the 10th year of her life, somewhat unexpectedly, her mother was pregnant with another child. At first, Lia was overjoyed, feeling that this new sibling will make her family whole again. Sure enough, when Maribel Conti was born, the family begin to mend together again…for a time. When Maribel reached 3 years of age, their parents began to lose themselves into their own jobs again, leaving Gerta once again to tend with their children. Realizing that she begin to see her own past repeating itself with her sister, Lia’s determined not to let the same thing happen to her sister. And so, she began to act more mature, and discarded her former carefree nature for that of a responsible older sister, all for the sake of her little sister.
3 years ago, the family decided to move from their ancestral home of the Conti family for an unknown reason. They choose the city of Lucca, and rumor had began to spread that Massimo Conti now owns a share of Gruppo Palmata and decided to move to the city of their headquarters in order to better oversee his new acquirement. The family now resides in a large house in Ponte a Moriano, but Lia hated this new house. Even though it’s a sizable house, it reminds her of a restrictive jail of sorts because of all the cameras and security system. But for the sake of her sister and her caretaker and other people who care about her, she decided to endure it.
Fortunately for her, school life isn’t nearly as restrictive as her house. For an unknown reason, or perhaps a testament to her charisma, Lia managed to make a lot of friends. Because of her connections and her consistently high grades, she managed to land a spot at the student council, a position that she guiltily enjoys because it’s another excuse not to spend time inside her house, and at the same time it restricts her time with her sister too.
Because of the lack of affection in her past caused her to fixate on over-affection, particularly over-protection. That’s why she found the over-protectiveness of her friend Ilaria’s brothers intriguing. One in particular is Ilaria’s twin, Ilario. She’s interested in his affection for his sister, and perhaps infatuated to that same affection. So far, she had expressed her affection quite clear, but the target is quite dense, and misinterprets the advances as just another expression of friendship. To the credit of Lia however, she never stop trying to find a way to his affection.
MY GOALS: // To graduate school for the time being, supposedly. She also wanted to live separately from her parents, but she doesn’t want to abandon her little sister, so she’s a bit conflicted right now.

• Personal scheduler
• Cellphone. The latest model with all the features one would expect from the latest model of the line. Quite expensive.
• A white laptop, mostly for school use. Though she have some fighting games stored inside it.
• Brass knuckles, for emergency use only.
EXPERTISE: //
• Jun Fan Kung Fu: Learned from various dojo throughout Italy, but Lia is currently learning from a small dojo near the Torre Alta. She’s about as proficient as a Karate Black Belt in JFKF, perhaps more. Enough for her to be considered as one of the strongest girls in school.
• Academics: Especially literary work. She’s quite fond of reading books, and can often quote her favorite books randomly.
• Charisma: She can be charismatic if she wanted too, which is not too often. Lia somehow managed to be elected as a member of the student council despite her personality, which is testament to her skills in making friends. And despite the jokes and rumors about her competency, no one ever really confessed outright displeasure about her leadership qualities…which is really surprising.
