LIKES: //
- Her father (not the real one); although he is so goddamn strict
- friends
- Her teacher <333333
- Working Out/Training
- Bordeaux Wine
- GPS (that thing really works wonders at times)
- Chivalry (despite being quite dead and herself not a muster knight either)
- Cheesecake (maybe too much)
DISLIKES: //
- Hurting people who have not really done anything
- Traveling all the time without suitable comfort
- Burned food
- Growing too much muscles
- Running (Training is just more fun than running aimlessly around)
- Waiting/Boredom
- Arrogance/Strictness
- Getting lost
- Wars about Religion (Her Family are hardcore Catholics, and just reading up on her family history and the knights gave her goosebumps; she also can't stand that Asians are supposed to be worth less because they are unorthodox; fails her sense of justice)
- Guns (they make some training seem so useless)
STRENGTHS: //
Crescent has a good amount of expertise and experience, despite her young age. She was really toughened up by being send through horrible situations and survived. Her spells are quite destructive and versatile. She has good eyes and a good judgment. The magus is also easy to get along with and open minded. Trough long term traveling, she can take care of herself and cook the bare minimum, although through a desire to use time for more fun things, usually relying on microwave food. Her acrobatic skills are especially when reinforced, extremely useful in combat situations against everything, but servants. Crescent is a team player and can follow orders. She can drink a lot, despite having had her first at an illegal age. She knows about modern technology, despite being a magus, and also has already held and fired a gun, but her tech in favor are still, cell phones, microwaves, modern means of transportation and the TV, plus mp3 players.
WEAKNESSES: //
She is a bit hot headed, impatient and not the type to sit still. Although she had good teachers and is also intelligent enough to absorb the knowledge like a sponge, she fails at really applying it in praxis, at times. She can cook a bit, but gets bored too soon of it and would instead run around and clean something, just to realize that the pot goes over. Crescent has a rather powerful spell at hand, but would grow bored too fast from standing around and would prefer the old ways of head on head, etc.
Her lack of patience and sometimes overly trustworthy, can cause some problems. She is also not the kind who is actually overly happy with handling sealing designations and perhaps lucky in her unluckiness, as that she really just had monsters on her list of cleaning operations. Her impatience might make her rush things and even ignore orders in the heat of things.

MY FAMILY LINE: //
The Aimante Family is relatively young, at least in comparison to some Noble Families. The beginning was around 1200, with Gerhard von Malberg, a Teutonic Knight. He was a great warrior, but after being chosen as the next Grand Master of the Order, his lack of leadership qualities showed and he was dismissed. Although the shame was great, he was allowed to leave and join the Knights Templar, but something had changed within him. The believe to simply follow ideals, in order to win, was not enough.
Secluding himself from the rest of his friends and remaining family, he began to study the forbidden, but it would take some other generations for the first real magus to be born. The family has their headquarters in France, or rather in the territory between France and Germany and focused their magic on fighting knights and later musketeers. This can be largely seen in their attempt to create spells to counter that. Unfortunately the increase in firepower, the decline of magic and even less use of metal, has not turned out to be favorable for them.
Basically around 500 years old, they would now reach their 8th generation, but the magi left infertile through a horse riding accident would soon have to call an end to their lineage if not for adoption. Crescent is adopted and was fortunately able to earn the crest. The crest is roughly worth 200 prana units. They still hold on some lands and produce wine. They are not the richest kind of people, but definitely wealthy.
MY HISTORY: //
Crescent was born in London, to a Lord and Marie Aimante, who was despite the name similarity to the magus clan, not a magus. She was a cousin of the current head, and had no knowledge about magic, nor that a simple one night stand could end up in giving birth to a young and healthy girl, but she was an accident and the father less than happy about the outcome. He already had a son, who was about to inherit the crest, strong, well groomed, the perfect magus and not some half blood. The still unnamed child had potential, but tainted with the normal's genes, less than her brother, he might have considered her, if not for the existence of an already perfect candidate, but bearing the circumstances, the newborn was just a nuisance.
Surprisingly enough, it was her half-brother who would safe her life. Perfect in the sense of magecraft, he was still not perfectly cold, still human, instead of a heartless machine and also disliked the idea of seeing his noble father staining his hands with the blood of a newborn, even worse, the blood of his own daughter and the young heir's sister, no less. Especially not on the day, which was supposed to become one of his greatest, right after being chosen as the next heir. The father gave his magus promise to never harm the girl, not send anyone to do that work for him and let them be.
Unfortunately the mother had been less lucky, already received a mortal wound by the raging father and the only thing she could ever do for her daughter was to give her the name, chosen by the crescent moon in the night sky and to ask the brother to guide the young life to her relatives. Crescent was adopted by the Aimante family head and began her magus training, at first in the family and then focusing on the Kabbalah, especially the Notarikon, because it just seemed to fit her energy and temper, and on another a bit of the Gematria.
Unlike her father, she already had a relatively high amount of innate circuits, and could outperform him quite fast, just having the better stamina, but her problems were her temper and impatience and she often got into problems or destroyed some things. It was clear that something had to be done about her behavior and a stricter environment could only be found at the town of her birth, in London. There she soon found herself alienated. Crescent had been good at finding new friends, until she got a bit too rough with them, but this place was like a different world and her usual behavior lead to exact opposite result. They were all just too stuck up and feeling high and mighty.
Only the Asians seemed different, even worse treated than the weakest of magi family and just her style, but this was only helpful to actually survive the next year in clock tower, before being chosen as an enforcer, despite her still unpolished abilities and young age. Her father had done well in promising not to harm her, but found an alternative to get rid of her.
Barely 14, her first mission, was already more of a suicide mission, but she survived. It was not because of her skill, but because of a totally random appearing encounter with a woman, maybe in her 20s, or 30s, Crescent could not tell, not remove her eyes from the fierce woman, her red hair dancing in the wind, her tomboyish grin, before she sent destruction to the enforcer's enemies, angelic at that time, before her eyes were clouded with red, and feeling herself drifting to death.
When she awoke she found herself in the company of the same lady as before, welcomed to life by a friendly smile. The woman who not once in their months to ensue had stated her name, was clearly quite feminine in figure, but her smile and aura, was so much more like a man, that Crescent could only lower her head abashed and blushed. It was strange enough to find one's first love in a person of the same gender, but she was her great life savior and would end up becoming her mentor. Days passed, then weeks, then months and she certainly learned one or the other thing, although more just increasing her own thirst for chaos. One may have wondered, if that self chosen master was really some kind of magus or just a doomsday machine on two legs, but Crescent did not mind.
For her, there was no one greater on this world, but one day, she was suddenly gone as fast as she had appeared, only leaving a letter behind to wish her farewell. The highway was calling her and it was time to move on.... Perhaps the unnamed teacher thought that the risk of staying together with her might be too much for the young one, but Crescent could not understand this and continued her search, unfortunately in vain. Almost a year later, she was found by other enforcers and dragged back to Clock Tower, where she received a mild punishment. Yet surviving and succeeding, given the bad circumstances of fighting some powerful magi all on her own and the obvious display of power, despite not having been hers, were enough for them to give her another chance.
Her father thought the same and the trials continued, albeit only allowing her to grow in power. Now several years later, at the age of 20, another trial awaits. She was ordered to take a look at Lucca. Without any knowledge about the clear objective, or fear, she just heads to the next designation with a childish smile on her face. Whatever may come, she would be ready.
MY GOALS: //
Survival and Fun
[/blockquote]
RANK: // 2nd
ELEMENT: // Wind/Earth (Lightning/Magnetism)
EXPERTISE: //
Jukempo
The name Jukempo is a combination of Jujutsu and Kempo, which stands for Chinese Arts on Japan Grounds. It's name just indicates that the Jujutsu, basically the Self Defense of Bushi (Samurai) of ancient Japan, gained a stronger Influence of Chinese Martial Arts Elements. In this case for the art to be named, especially Jeet-Kune-Do, which again is a concept to fit the fighter, rather than a style. Although the name is more well known for being used by Bruce Lee, who combined Wing Chun with elements of other styles like from Taekwondo, Boxing etc, rather than his ideas.
Crescent, having trained Savate as part of the family's martial arts in her youth, soon adapted new techniques from her Asian Friends in Clock Tower, albeit refining some moves and getting to her current style, through years of on the line experience and extreme sparring with her unnamed master. (Although she mostly only learned how painful some kicks or punches could be...) She is agile, and flips, wheels, saltos and various air acrobatics are all part of her repertoire. She combines it with strong punches on short range or an almost inhuman appearing variation of kicks, that strike from angles that are completely unorthodox, granting her the upper hand in the beginning of a battle. Yet, without doubt, the style is quite exhausting.
Definitely meant to finish things fast and finish the target off before it gets ugly, and quite unsuitable for longer encounters, especially when it allows the opponent to adapt to her style. Only her jumpiness, instincts and fast alterations of pace are actually what allow her to even stand up to her opponents after the initial strike, if it fails.
Acrobatics
The Aimante Family is a magus family, but relatives can be found in more jobs than just the very secret magus line. Her mother was an acrobat in a circus, before finding Crescent's father through a random encounter. The genes are still prominent within the young woman, making her quite jumpy, energetic, but also skilled. She is quite skilled with it, although having primarily focused to combine evasion and attack movements with her combat style. Flexibility pays off.
Sorcery Trait: Sixth Sense (not an expertise, but makes it easier to read, maybe.)
Everything on the world is influenced by a magnetic field and cohesion exists between each of the objects as well. This all leads to something like a flow on the world, unperceived by the eyes, only some can feel it to a minor degree, and might call it a part of Instinct. Albeit in a sense correct, it certainly does not fulfill the requirements for some definitions of Instinct and does not work too well as an explanation for the sorcery trait, either. Nonetheless, this lack of perception, unlike mana flow, also includes magi, but the Aimante Family is different. They can actually feel a part of the flow. Any disturbance nearby can be felt, and acts like an alarming radar and gives them a sensibility and a feel for manipulating the magnetic field to some degree. This trait is in fact the very reason, why they are so talented in applying the spells, without failing constantly. Manipulation AND control is after all, not easy. It also allows something on the level of Instinct in Emergency Situations for evasion, due to heightened senses, yet no more.
Magnet Spells
Influencing the field and controlling it is not easy, maybe for most even impossible, because a lot of control and knowledge about proper initialization is important. Usual spells only require the execution of a spell, which takes care of 'itself' and only grows in power until it runs out of power, while the Magnet Spells have to be controlled at all times, unfortunately. The family's sorcery trait makes it easier for them, and Crescent is fairly skilled, but the most powerful skills are not exactly fitting the young magus' hot headed style, still unable to unleash her true potential.
Fighting on low Prana
Crescent has learned to some degree to use her circuits more efficiently, but is still quite far from grasping the concept for real and she is also too often just going all out, which leads to a higher use of prana than required. While some people might despite a similar hot headed personality already adapted so much to that idea to do it subconsciously, Crescent can't do that too well. Her prana costs are cut down a bit thanks to that, but she might require more time and moreover a cool head to make real use of it, some day.
MAGIC CIRCUITS: // More Innate than Crest for fun reasons, she has 40 Circuits x 8 PR, leading to a total of 320
SPELLS: //
Aero (Wind/Earth/Magnetism)
Rank: D
Cost: 15 + 3/min (if float)
Range: 0/self
Effect:
The spell makes use of the wind's sub-element lightning to modify the gravity at her standing location and a gust of strong wind to catapult herself into the air. Afterwards it appears as if she were floating. Usually it is just a catapult start up followed by a harsh fall. Aero goes in all directions and can also be used to propel oneself forward or into another direction. The floating effect is of course not available with anything but an up-jump, but Aero can also be used to slow the speed down again and act as a cushion for falls or a break for the acceleration. Because of the high acceleration and still a likely unpleasant fall, it is highly recommended to use it with reinforcement, before breaking the own body apart. The max speed is [270km/h accelerated within less than 1s]. Being an integrated part of the family's combat style to finish targets off fast, it has been reduced to an instant command in the family crest.
Force Push (Wind/Earth/Magnetism)
Rank: C
Cost: 50 pull + 5/m upkeep + 30 push
Range: 100
Effect:
The spell makes use of magnetism, and the user establishes a connection between the object and the spell caster, by establishing a magnetic field, the user can manipulate and pulls it in. The effect is simply to pull a metallic object to the magus at high speed, which can go up to several tons.
Speed: [100km/h] by [5 tons]; Max Weight: [20 tons]; Max Speed: [500km/h]. Heavier objects are likely to be slower. The spell is also a two stage spell, meaning that it usually does not make much sense to smack a target into oneself, but it is a two way attack. One for the pulling and another for the redirection. Making use of a triangle, and a rapid change in the magnetic 'connection' the target will after the initial pull get redirected and pushed to the desired location. The overall effect is to hurl heavy objects at a target, like some freaks could do with psychokinesis.
As the spell casts a field it can either use a big target or multiple smaller ones, in fact drawing every little thing nearby for a mass of metal junk attack. The maximum range indicates the maximum capture range. Targets still need to be accelerated, which has to be done relatively close to the caster, or it would lose some of the speed. The maximum distance depends on the speed, that was applied to the object/s, but should be in optimal conditions around 80 meters. Manipulation of an object within the field is possible, which allows bending of some metals. Of course servants are quite unaffected, not to mention that many components nowadays are just cheap plastic.
Considering that the sphere also needs to be kept up, which requires concentration, she cannot really move and modifying it after activation only works to a small degree. If she for example prepares it to collect materials, she would end up being extremely vulnerable to bullets, increasing their effect. On the other hand if she prepares the field to repel, she is basically immune to bullets, yet unable to collect anything. If the field is in a state of drawing in enough while prepared to keep projectiles of avg speed away, high speed projectiles will still go through etc, etc. Slowly modifying the field is possible, but each modification also leads to a slight increase in prana upkeep.
The spell is a two liner to activate, and the second stage works with single action.
Graviton Bomb (Wind/Earth/Magnetism)
Rank: B
Cost: 120
Range: 50; 6 m Radius
Effect:
The spell does quite the opposite of Aero, instead of reducing weight and helping with a wind back up, it forces compressed amounts of air down on the target area and increases the gravitation with the lightning sub element. The electromagnetic field, like a self made gravity field, increases the force which pulls the target down to earth, beyond ordinary limits, while the wind pressure from above supports the spell's effect. The pressure will begin lightly, but will increase extremely fast, leading from severe pain and suffering to a crushing of the body and eventually death. Rather complicated for the effect, but it does its work and is more or less a by product of the commonly used Aero.
The spell requires two lines, because of the family crest.
Reinforcement (Strengthening)
Rank: C
Cost: 20
Range: 0
Effect:
Only meant to reinforce the strength and reaction time of a limb and the hardness and speed of hand and feet to turn them into weapons. It also increases her toughness and resistance against attacks on the head or torso as well, albeit the hardness of the skin can't be improved without turning it into something inhuman, ending up killing oneself.
Although not the strongest kind of reinforcement, still in the upper region and costly because of its instant and long lasting effect. The effect lasts for 15 minutes.
