DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: // Tends to be dressed messily, as if she doesn't care about what she wears. Tends to keep her hair hidden under a cap. She carries around a guitar, and a sarcastic attitude most of the time. She doesn't wear any make up, and haircare seems limited to keeping it clean. She also drives very fast, no matter what vehicle is used.

- Sarcastic
- There is barely a word that escapes Alex's lips that is not dripping with the poisonous honey that is sarcasm. Long amounts of time with people (such as her parents) who didn't understand her led her to need an outlet, and her wits and tongue became said outlet. To hear her speaking without sarcasm is a miracle in itself, and only a person who she really trusts will actually see this side of her.
- Moody
- Alex tends to live up to the "Tsun" side of Tsundere, being constantly in a mood of irritability that no knight in shining armor can coax her out of. Quick to anger, quicker to resort to violence, she is truly something to be reckoned with when pissed off, which is whenever someone sets off her many, many beserk buttons, which include nosy folk, overly polite people, impolite people, chewing gum, cellphones, and slow drivers.
- Intelligent
- While people might not see it, she is actually fairly smart. Hiding under the facade of angry slacker teenager is a mind so sharp it can cut steel. Her most important skill is the ability to disassemble information after finding it, figuring out any and all significance of the information and how to use it.
- When She Smiles
- If there is one thing in the world worth waiting for, it's her smile. If you manage to become friends with this angry, bitter, and broken person, then you have a bulldog of a friend for life. Her "dere" side doesn't come up often, but when it does, you get to see the humor behind the sarcasm, the sunlight against the bitterness, the laughter to counter the anger. You get to see the little light within this dark person, and it will be one of the most precious things in the world.

MY FAMILY LINE: // The Graith line began with the Celtic druids of Ireland. When an exploration party of Romans landed on Ireland late in the first millenia, the Roman weather magus and a celtic Ban-draoia (Female Druid) had a tryst, which ended with the girl pregnant. Apart, the two bloodlines had been nothing special. However, together, they formed an entirely new form of magecraft. It was by their child, who grew up with the name Graith Ban-Amadaun (Grace, Daughter of the Fool), who began the family crest, estimated to be sometime in late 998. She was known for her ability to call down lightning on the people with a siren voice, and had an evil eye (probably a mystic one, though it is hard to be certain, due to the destruction of most of her writings and her sarcophogus during the Great Purges of 1865, where numerous agents of the Clocktower burnt down the family's ancestral home on the outskirts of the mountain of Sugarloaf). Her sons, born early in the new millenia, would take on the name Graith (Grace), which became the family name.
The Graith family possessed a most powerful trait in their bloodline, which increased the power of spells cast by casting them to music. The family stayed in Ireland, fighting the church and keeping away from the Magus Association, under a number of guises and flunkies.
During the nineteenth century, however, the family was dying out due to both the decline of magic and the Potato Famine, which killed the most promising of the line. The sole magus heir of the family, Jacob MacGraith II, moved to New York and changed his name to McCeol, to seperate ties with his family and from the rival magi who might follow him. He did, however, pass down the family crest and trained his son in magic.
In America, the McCeol's kept out of the greater magic world, happy to let their gifts die out, and yet unwilling to rid themselves of the crest for the connection to the past it gave. However, in 1945, newest heir of the line decided to rebuild his family name to the greatness it was in the old days. He began making contacts out of the other magi, and intermarried his children into other magi families, his heir marrying a member of House Jaeger. His son did the same with a powerful enchanter of the Cecelones family, and his son attempted to do the same. The only pity was that the only heir was a headstrong, bitter girl who only wished to be free to go where she pleased.
As a result of this history, the Graith family had 15 PrC on average with an approximate quantity of 10. In addition, the Graith family has a rather unique Sorcery Trait: Spell Song, which allows spells to be sung, giving them both more range and more power then a regular incantation with equal amount of lines. Spell Songs generally are aligned with wind, and the use of a non-incantation as a spellsong creates a wave of wind with little or no focus.
MY HISTORY: // Alex was born in Ohio, part of the midwest of America. As she was growing up, she was found to follow her father's line in affinity and power, and thus was brought up learning of the family's spellsongs. At first the bright young girl excelled at his lessons, and was a ball of joy to both her parents and her friends. However, her father was a brutal trainer, and if she could not learn quick enough (which was impossible, even for one as good as she was for information), he would lock her in a small, dark room, with no food and little water, for a day or more. She became jaded, lashing out at her childhood friends until they simply abandoned her. However, she found release in old music, and taught herself to play guitar when her father was not around. The joyful girl was gone. This fractured, broken young woman was all that was left.
This trend continued, until Alex's 18th birthday. She was to be married the next day to an older magus, then act as a breeder until she became to old or broken to have children, all for "The Family". On that day, her mother, who knew about her diversions, gave her three presents. One was the written record of the entire Graith family, from Jacob MacGraith all the way back to Primus Margus and Priestess Diuogenia Grace. It was the family's most valued possession. The second was a special guitar, armored and filled with runes, helping focus any power put through them into greater magical force. The third was a plane ticket to New York. Alex thanked her mother, then ran away from her fathers plans for her, and her family's legacy. For the first time, the broken young bird was free to fly.
A little less then a year later, she was making a living as a street musician (amongst other things) in New York, when a letter came from her family. It was a request. It told of a war that was to start in Italy, and that she the rebel child who had no want of her gift would go to it. Alex would have steadfastly refused, if it had not been for the person who sent it. The entreaties of the letter came from her mother, the one who had freed her from her father's influence. Alex took the letter, the instruction there-in, and the plane ticket to Italy. It would be a long flight, and a longer fight ahead
MY GOALS: // To spite anyone who gets in her way. To make her mother proud. To show what the power of rock can do in the hands of a child of Graith
[/blockquote]
The Mighty Axe: A guitar given to her by her mother, who was a very accomplished member of the Cecelones family. The guitar is bespelled to be a powerful tool in wind sorcery, and has been armored so it will survive a blow from anything non-magical and not used by a servant. It also serves as Alex's mystic code
Family Bibliography A written history of her family, from their own hands. It contains numerous spells, tidbits, and other helpful information on magic. Most of the spells are beyond the power of most of today's magi though. However, it is an all around helpful book.
Glock-32: Though trained from a very young age as a magus, magic can't protect one from bullets when one is out of prana. Thus, it is always helpful to have a back-up when needed. The Glock-32 is a tried and tested compact weapon, firing .357 SIG rounds. Alex's has a clip extender, increasing the magazine size from 13 to 18. She has 3 clips on her person. Alex is not the greatest shot in the world, however she can hit a human sized target from twenty meters, and has enough strength to counter the large recoil of the tiny gun, with a little help of the aftermarket recoil suppressor invented in 2020.

SPELLS: //
Song of Protection (Wind)
Rank: E-A
Cost: 5-35 Pr
Range: 10 meters
Effect: Creates a barrier of wind that can deflect bullets, arrows, charging foes, and spells of equal or lesser power to what force is put into the spell. Only lasts for as long as the song is being sung.
This spell has been in the family for generations. Alex was taught this first with automatic baseball launchers and paintball guns, then with lightning and real guns.
The for every spell verse sung (the only verse which count as spell verses are the ones where Alex increases the amount of prana being used), the defense of the spell increases, as another level of the dome of power is added. Thus, it is a E rank defense spell with one verse which can block the same amount of human being's punch (or it's magical equivalent), D with two verses which can deflect arrows or debris(ditto), C with three which can deflect bullets (tritto), B with four which can block a RPG-7 (take a guess). Finally, A level could block a shot from artillary (And is beyond most magics other then the Noble Phantasms, most of which could shatter through the shield like a hot knife through butter) Each layer adds a cost of five prana, with the exception of A, which costs 35 prana.
Song Of Wrath (Wind/Lightning)
Rank: C
Cost: 18-22 Pr
Range: 28 meters
Effect: Unleashes a thundering mini-tornado upon the foe. Note that it only controls the tornadoes initial direction, and in order to keep control the user must expend 10 prana for each subsequent turn.
This spell was invented by Alex's grandfather, and has been handed down since then.
Three verses must be sung before the tornado begins, with an additional verse allow it to shoot lightning for an additional 4 prana.
Any Way the Wind Blows (Wind)
Rank: D
Cost: 30 Pr
Range: 100-1000 meters
Effect: The wind carries off many things: Whispers and Secrets, Plans and Failings, Strengths and Weaknesses. This spell, when used in a suitably windy spot, allows one to hear these things. Information is gained at random, and in all likelihood will be pointless. However, sometimes the user will get lucky, especially if they stack the odds in their favor by moving downwind of where they know their enemy is. There is also a chance that small objects, a photograph, loose change, a reciept, anything that can be lost in the wind. Not a terribly useful spell, as it is up to the caster to make the conclusions that any useful information they do get means.
This spell was first used in ancient Greece, by the Oracles of Delphi and by the Auras of the Wind God Aeolus, however, almost every nation since then has used it to some extent.
This spell requires three verses, along with an offering of earth from some area other then where it is cast, to be thrown to the winds
Mystic Code: The Mighty Axe (Wind)
Rank: C
Cost: 15-20 Pr
Range: 1-30 meters
Effect: This guitar has been enchanted to improve wind magics, and also acts as a Mystic Code. When Alex focuses her Prana into and strums the guitar, it releases a wave of sound, which starts as a solid wave for the first ten meters, then dissapates as it goes forward, becoming regular sound at 30 meters. A person hit point blank by this will be thrown as if pulled by wires into (or through) a wall, while a person hit at the absolute furthest range will simply be hit with enough force to push them back a bit, like being shoved by a schoolyard bully.
