- Backstabbing Witch
- Caster is a Servant that doesn't like being a Servant. If her Master treats her badly in any way, she won't hesitate to scheme against them. She is the most unruly type of Servant that will keep even her Master guessing as to what she'll do next. If it seems her Master is a cruel and arrogant man that treats women like trash, she will simply control him like a puppet and then viciously tear him to bits when he is no longer useful.
In terms of relationships, she views alliances as only tools that serve a purpose. She will used honeyed words and promises in order to gain a person's trust, and even show them an act of good will. But once that purpose has run its course, so has the alliance. She views this way of thinking as practical in the context of the Holy Grail War. The rule states there can be only one winner, so it's a waste of time to try to form deep relationships with other Servant/Master teams when the inevitable conclusion leads only to the tragedy of good friends killing one another.
The truth of the matter is that she cares for nothing but her own gain. She has no sense of honor or shame, so she will lie, cheat, steal, kidnap, murder...use any and every dirty trick in the book to win. Her actions are truly befitting of an evil witch. Once a person has used up all their usefulness, she will discard them. And if she perceives they will become a threat in the future, she will use every method at her disposal to eliminate them.

- A Servant summoned to be downtrodden
- Due to the path her life took and her status as a Servant, she has a feeling of inferiority. She thinks of herself as a Servant that was summoned only to be used by another man to further his ambitions, and then be discarded. She was labeled as a witch, and was summoned to the Holy Grail War because of that reputation, so she feels she must fill the role. It is mostly because of this feeling of inferiority that she is willing to use any and every dishonest method at her disposal to defeat a city full of great and honorable heroes.
She has no wish or desire prepared should she win the Holy Grail War. She only fights to prolong her own survival as an experiment or game. Seeing examples of her own legend will make her fly into a rage.

- Magus from the Age of the Gods
- Despite her feeling of inferiority, she has absolute confidence in her ability as a Caster. She is not above boasting about her abilities as a magus from the Age of the Gods, and may even claim that she is the most powerful sorceress that ever existed (whether or not it is true).
She views the magecraft of the modern day as something befitting a child, and modern magi as entirely beneath her. If she is summoned by a magus who is confident in his abilities, she will openly mock and chastise him as a mother would a whining infant. If he is arrogant to the point of irritation, she will show no hesitation in "educating" them on what is truly a superior form of magic.
If she comes face to face with another Caster, she will acknowledge his or her abilities and may even respect them. She would be eager to compare notes, however, she would still view herself as superior until proven otherwise.

- A kinder witch
- Despite her reputation as an evil witch, she is not without a softer side. While her opinion of men is very bleak, she likes men who are quiet and honest; those who don't seem to have the capacity for betrayal. People who do find themselves opening up her softer side may be lavishly rewarded, though the price for betrayal is equally...lavish.
In particular, she has a soft spot for children and young girls. Having once been a mother, she likes the honest and helpless nature of children. She finds their dependency on others endearing and it awakens a protective instinct in her. Though she is not above kidnapping a child to further her own ends, she would not be able to bring herself to harm the child in her care.
She like the sincerity of young girls who have not had their hearts broken. She prefers the kind nature of girls as opposed to the company of men; they remind her of herself before she met the man she loved. She might caution girls on falling in love.
She finds an inexplicable pleasure in doing things like household chores and other wifely duties without the aid of magecraft, seeing girls in cute cloths and wearing cute cloths herself. She has an interest in cooking, but she’s terrible at it. She likes shopping and indulges herself in hobbies such as building ships in bottles and sewing cute cloths. She’ll never admit any of these things because it’s too embarrassing for her.

LIKES: // Children and young girls. Cute cloths. House chores. Quiet, honest men.
DISLIKES: // Arrogant men who use women. Men with muscles. Being called a witch.
STRENGTHS: //
As a Caster class, she has a vast and all-encompassing knowledge of magecraft. The mysteries she can call forth as simply as breathing are on par with the Five True Magics of the Modern Era. The sorcery she uses is from the Age of the Gods, a time when magic and divine mysteries were commonplace. Even during that time, Caster was considered a sorceress of the highest possible caliber, surpassing her father, King Aeetes of Colchis.
Instead of specializing in one trade, she has mastered nearly every aspect of magecraft: From spells that affect nature to familiar creation to the forging of Mystic Codes, potions, charms, barriers, etc. It is said that she is capable of crafting potions that can bring limited immortality to the user, forge her own army of skeletal warriors, travel from one area to the next instantaneously, and even fly under her own power. She can create barriers that nullify or greatly reduce the effect of any outside Thaumaturgy using the souls of people that she abducts. She can “craft” Mystic Codes out of the bodies of people who have special abilities, and she can take hold of a person’s mind with just a single word.
Modern Magecraft is easy for her to perceive and dispel, no matter how great a scale it is. It can be said that there is no magus from the modern time that can match her, without exception. She is even capable of seeing through the ritual of the Holy Grail War; ascertaining that it’s true purpose is to forge a path to Akasha. With enough time and the proper resources, she claims she can create her own method to obtain the Holy Grail, completely circumventing the normal method of slaying Servants (She currently lacks the motivation to do so as she has no desire to win the Holy Grail War; only to prolong her existence.)
Not only that, she is skilled enough to “bend” the rules of the Holy Grail War. The rules state that a Servant cannot serve as a Master to another Servant, but she is able to find a way and, if given the right opportunity and the right circumstances, summon a Servant of her own. However, this would be very difficult and various factors would have to come into play before it is possible.
(A comprehensive spell list can be found under the Skills section.)
While her prowess as a mage is impressive, her true talent lies in scheming and the crafting of plots. As a Caster, she is aware that she cannot match enemy Servants in direct combat. Her role is to scheme from the shadows and take advantage of every opportunity that falls into her lap. She can be called a mastermind who uses her formidable knowledge of magic to create openings and manipulate circumstances to go in her favor, without ever having to show herself.
WEAKNESSES: //
As a Caster, she is outmatched in direct combat by every other Servant class. Servants with the skill Magic Resistance or other abilities that allow them to negate the effects of magecraft are her worst enemies because she will have no way to harm them.
She does not take the Holy Grail War seriously, so she chooses not to use her abilities to her full extent; simply waiting to see how long she can last before she is killed. A Master who can get her to care can change that. [/ul]

The Play
MY HISTORY: //
Her children were dead.
All around her lay the remains of the Corinthians. Blood and meat littered the scene.
Their lifeless swords stained with the blood of her children.
A scene.
A fantastic story told on a stage. The princess of Colchis looked up to the sky and smiled to the audience.
She wore drops of blood on her face.
Slish. Thick. Thak.
The jagged dagger in her hand buried itself in her son’s chest.
Stab stab stab.
She hacked at the body with a serene smile on her face.
Her children were dead.
Her two beautiful sons were dead.
She saw her reflection in their wide, blank eyes.
The bloodstained face.
That sad face. A crying face.
A smiling face.
Witch.
A barbaric witch who is always covered in blood.
An evil witch who gleefully cut apart her brother
Who burned princesses and kings
To ashes
In their own court
The face of evil. A hideous
Disgusting
Witch.
Who could never be loved
Who was used and discarded by a man
Who won the favor of Gods
And forced her to dance on a stage.
Using her mind for days
And her body, nights.
But in the end, he couldn’t bring himself to marry a
WITCH!
Shattering her heart had let an unending fury run free
And from there spawned murderous, dark, passionate
Evil.
And she could think of no better revenge
No better conclusion
Than taking away his sons
HIS sons.
She looked at herself. Looked at her hands. Covered in the blood of her children.
***
She left the dagger embedded in the chest of her slaughtered son and whisked herself away on the wind.
When Jason at last came and saw his sons murdered, he went to embrace them. His fingers were inches away from the bodies when the burst into flame. The fire consumed them, leaving nothing, not even ash. Jason would be denied the right to hold his sons ever again.
The only thing that remained was the jagged, iridescent dagger.
It was the final act of spite from the Witch of Betrayal.
MY GOALS: // To prolong her existence.
[/ul]
Witch cloths: Caster’s cloak is a high-grade Mystic Code that provides constant protection from magical attacks and effects. She can use her cloak to dispel attacks by modern magecraft easily, no matter how strong they are. While not as perfect as the Assassin class’s Presence Concealment, she can use it in conjunction with an illusion spell to hide herself and escape from a battle (She tries to use this on Gilgamesh in the Fate route, but he was able to see through it.) She can transform them into wings and fly through the air.
The constant protection is great enough that thaumaturgical attacks and effects from Servants that are C ranked and below cannot affect her unless they come from a Noble Phantasm. Even B ranked thaumaturgical effects will have difficulty damaging her, but she can be damaged. Her cloths don’t provide any kind of defense against physical attacks.
NOBLE PHANTASM: //
Rule Breaker: All Spells Must Be Broken.
Rank: C
Type: Anti-Unit/Anti-Thaumaturgy
Range: N/A
Max Targets: 1
A jagged dagger who’s blade glows with an unearthly iridescence. It is a manifestation of Caster’s divinity. As a weapon, it’s almost useless. The blade is thin and brittle, and its unique design makes it ill-suited for killing. In combat, it is about as efficient as a regular dagger; though with the strength endowed upon her as a Servant she is strong enough to slice off entire limbs from mere humans with it.
While it fails as a weapon, it does have one very unique purpose: To function as an anti-Thaumaturgical device. Caster herself describes it as “an indulgence from the Age of the Gods that is forgiven anything for one purpose.” Contracts that were created using magic, beings that were given life through magic, and items and structures that were made using magic will be instantly destroyed and return to the state “before they were given life.” It is the ultimate anti-magic weapon, given the title “The Destroyer of all Talismans. All Spells Must Be Broken.”
Its nature as a magic-slaying Noble Phantasm makes her an especially dangerous opponent for Casters and other Servants who rely on thaumaturgical concepts such as magical items and familiars.
It cannot affect Noble Phantasms, due to their existences transcending mere thaumaturgy. However, thaumaturgical effects produced by Noble Phantasms can be dispelled. What Rule Breaker will target is the thaumaturgical effect, such as the creation of familiars and contracts, but the Noble Phantasm itself will be unaffected.
(A good example would be Prelati’s Spellbook. If Rule Breaker were to strike one of the familiars summoned by the book, the connection between the monster and the book would be severed and the monster would disappear, but the spellbook itself would remain unaffected.)
Its most useful ability is to interfere with the rules of the Holy Grail War, which is only a thaumaturgical ritual of a monumental scale. By stabbing a Servant with the dagger, Caster can nullify the contract between a Master and Servant, and steal the command spells of the Servant for herself. After striking the Servant with the dagger, the spells will disappear from the Master’s hand and automatically appear on hers. If she is provided with enough prana, she is capable of “stealing” several Servants and serve as a Master to all of them at the same time using this method. However, it logically follows that the more Servants she takes on, the more prana will be needed to maintain their existence, as well as her own. In addition, the Servant must be the target, as stabbing the Master will have no effect. This makes this strategy very risky to use, as it will put her in point blank range of the enemy Servant.

Argon Coin: The Golden Fleece
Rank: N/A (B-A)
Type: Summoning
Range: N/A
Max Targets: N/A
The famous artifact form Greek Mythology. It was a gift from Phrixus to King Aeetes of Colchis, in gratitude for allowing him to stay in his kingdom and giving him Chalciope, one of his daughters, to marry. It is made from the golden wool of a phantasmal ram. After the ram was sacrificed, it became a constellation of stars that can be seen in the night sky.
King Aeetes hid the fleece away in a sacred grove dedicated to Ares, the God of War. It was guarded by a dragon that never slept. The hero Jason, leader of the Argonauts and rightful prince of Iolcos, was to overcome the dragon and retrieve the fleece as his final trial from Aeetes. Medea was able to nullify the protective magic cast by her father and craft a potion that put the dragon to sleep, allowing Jason to steal the fleece.
The fleece is inhabited by a strange Guardian Spirit that takes the shape of a young man. It has an odd personality that gets on Medea’s nerves.
Due to the legends of the fleece itself and the dragon that guarded it getting mixed up, it is said that if the Golden Fleece is dropped on the ground, it will summon a dragon. It is possible to summon the Colchis Dragon using the fleece as a catalyst, however Caster currently lacks the knowledge to summon a Phantasmal Beast. It is possible for her to learn the skills necessary, though it would require a significant amount of study.
Though it is a dragon from legend, the power of the Colchis Dragon is nothing special compared to other higher ranking Phantasmal Beasts and Noble Phantasms. Even still, its power is great enough that Caster’s rank in the 5th Grail War would have been significantly higher if she were able to summon it.
It is a Noble Phantasm that is currently unusable, so it functions as one of her personal skills instead (see the Skills category for more information).

CLASS ABILITIES: //
Item Construction: A
The skill to manufacture magical items. Caster’s rank in this skill is among the highest one can obtain. She is capable of crafting potions that can grant limited immortality and even enchant Phantasmal Beasts. She was able to assist Jason several times in his trials for the Golden Fleece; crafting a potion that protected him from the flames of the Kalkotauroi, two fire breathing oxen. She was able to create a sleeping draught that put the Colchis Dragon (who’s most legendary trait is to be a dragon who never sleeps) to sleep. In one version of Herakles’ legend, it is said that her potions were able to cure his madness induced by Hera after he killed his best friend Iphitos.
Caster can craft charms and talismans to increase the user’s luck, or to provide magical protection. Her main specialty is potions that can heal grievous wounds, counter even the most potent poisons, and greatly increase the user’s vitality and physical attributes. She can craft Mystic Codes that magi from the Age of Man cannot hope to reproduce. Comparing her craftsmanship to those of modern magi is like comparing Paradise to Earth. Mystic Codes created by her can greatly increase their user’s overall abilities as a magus, or enhance the potency of a single trait that they specialize in.
She can even take the bodies of people with rare talents and turn them into Mystic Codes for her own use. In one possible outcome of the 5th Grail War, she captured a certain Faker magus and turned him into an “Artificial Noble Phantasm” used for high level Projection magecraft by destroying his mind and reducing his body to a wand.
Caster does not have the capability to create weapons, as that requires a different type of skill.
Territory Creation: A
The ability to create a special terrain that is advantageous to a magus. Caster’s ability allows her to create a temple, which is superior to a workshop. The terrain created greatly enhances the effects of her magecraft by siphoning mana from the surrounding land, creating a mana reserve that she can utilize. This terrain can be modified to Caster’s liking; as long as she has the mana to do so, she can create defenses and magical traps such as barriers that nullify outside thaumaturgy. If she is able to establish her temple in a land with great spiritual significance, she will have a near unending source of mana to draw from.
SKILLS: //
The Golden Fleece: EX
A legendary item from Greek mythology. Throwing it on the ground can summon a dragon if the user has the proper knowledge to summon Phantasmal Beasts. It would normally function as a Noble Phantasm, but because Caster does not have the proper knowledge to utilize it correctly, it is categorized as a special skill.
High-Speed Divine Words: A
The power to activate thaumaturgy without connecting to one’s Magic Circuits. Divine Words are a language from the Age of the Gods that man can no longer pronounce. They are from a time when words themselves held power, and are much different from the incantations that modern magi use to initiate hypnosis. A user of Divine Words can disregard the limitations of their body and re-create the highest level of mysteries by uttering only a single word.
Caster’s mastery of High-Speed Divine Words is great enough that she can activate spells on the level of High-Thaumaturgy instantly. She was always surrounded by divine mysteries in life, so calling upon The World to enact those mysteries is as natural as breathing to her. She compares casting magic to the simple act of ordering a guard dog to attack. Because of this, modern magecraft cannot hope to compete with the sheer speed and power of her spells.
