- Leonidas isn't one to back away from a last stand; in fact sometimes it seems he actively searches for the opportunity. Once he's made up his mind, there's no turning back, no matter the consequences.

- "Laconic wit" can sometimes be viewed by other people as pure snideness. "Other people" can sometimes be viewed as pure idiots.
- Spartan
- The life of a soldier isn't a comfortable one, and since Spartans epitomize soldiering, so too does Leonidas. He's gruff, cold, and as unyielding as the hard ground he defends. Though he's got enough charisma to lead a nation, keep in mind it's a nation of soldiers. That being said, he might not be the most agreeable companion, unless he's got reason to put up with you.

- It is generally accepted that Leonidas belongs in the vanguard. Not one to hang back and deliver orders, Leonidas prefers the thick of battle to all else. Chalk it up to bravery or stupidity- just remember that stupid people can kill just as well as the brave ones.

STRENGTHS: //[/color] Melee. Hoplites prefer the phalanx, but Leonidas can adapt to work alone. The spear-and-shield combo works quite well in the hands of a capable soldier, no matter the number of allies standing beside you. Due to his harsh upbringing as a man of Sparta, he's no stranger to any kind of combat. Spears, javelins, swords- even rocks, fists, and teeth. He is no berserker, though. Discipline carries him through conflict as well as his arms proficiency.

Leonidas does not kneel. This stubbornness can lead to many a tricky situation, especially when flanked. Protection from ranged is somewhat lacking, as his protection from arrows doesn't account for a somewhat broader spectrum of ranged attacks.[/size]

In 480 BC, Leonidas I of Sparta led a combined force of Greek soldiers to Thermopylae to combat a numerically superior army led by Xerxes I. The Greeks numbered in the thousands, 300 of which were Spartans personally commanded by Leonidas. Xerxes' Persians arrived in the hundreds of thousands. Though most of the Greek coalition died during the battle, they took with them some 20,000 Persian invaders. Leonidas and his 300 Spartans have become symbols of the desperate last-ditch battle, and for their prowess in war, and honor in death, they have achieved immortality.

A phantasm that represents the stalling battle fought at Thermopylae, using his shield as a focus. This Phantasm may only be activated when Leonidas is defending something. Once activated, enemies attempting to reach what Leonidas is protecting will find themselves unable to reach it while Leonidas is still alive. It increases Leonidas' Endurance by one rank while in use.

A Noble Phantasm representative of the 300 Spartans who fought alongside Leonidas at Thermopylae. It uses his spear as a focus. Once activated, it treats Leonidas as if he is the three hundred Spartans, for the duration of a single post. A strike with a spear will hit as if the target were being struck by the spears of three hundred Spartans; a blocked attack will behave as if three hundred Spartans simultaneously blocked it with their shields. All of the Spartans who fought alongside him are considered to have C Rank Strength and B Rank Endurance.
