A lineage of noble knights that is roughly 1000 years old that was first heard from at Romania, the Belmont name always was associated with the upholding of good and the defense of humanity against the forces of darkness, this mindset made the Belmont lineage to always be part of the church knights for they bravery and power at the battlefield that sterned from their pure bodies which held a amazing amount of circuits albeit not having much prana, a trait that was kept through incestuous relations among the family, this little could describe the Belmont family while they served under the church name as the ages went by, aside being one of the oldest family names to work as knight templars for the church, the Belmonts hadn't gained any further credit for they achievements among the old society and that was fine with the family, the church kept them well rewarded for they efforts and they kept the people safe from danger, that was all that mattered to the Belmonts.
The history was a bit different on the other side, the Belmont name alone was enough to strike fear into the empty heart of lesser monsters and be a matter of concern to stronger ones, this fame among the enemies is also why the Belmont name is not well known in history as the family itself, being aware that the very same monsters they purge, would try to enact revenge on them, distanced themselves from the human world in order to prevent casualties at those skirmishes, thus sealing they name from a good half of history, fortunately not forever as those who were saved by a Belmont would spread stories about they feats of bravery and courage.

Those differences in ideology did not hindered the Belmont spirit and duty at all, in fact, with the courage to stand against the church order came a small liberty to act as they wished for a price to paid later on, the Belmonts spread they hunt for minions of the night all over the old Europe, albeit the missions not being sanctioned by the church, the Belmonts still exchanged information about such tasks with the church as to have a better grasp of where to go next. This method of rescuing those in need was quickly adopted by the church as a mean to advertise their good will to save even those that did not believed in their god, a underhanded tactic it was but the Belmonts would not stop doing good because of it.
As time passed and the number of creatures to be hunted were thinned down, so did the Belmont need to seclude themselves from the rest of the world went down as well and with that change, the Belmont lineage grew bigger than ever before, leaving the incestuous activities only to the heir of the family, branching into a few sub-families like the Belnades and the Morris, each sub family taking a slight different approach to the Belmont family motto of keeping the human order against the monsters and also against some other humans as well, extending the reach of the Belmont family to more areas of expertise and locations in a time where the biggest threat to humans were humans themselves but never faltering from striking down those who had forsaken they good side, they hearts, always striking the whip of justice at those who wish to cause harm to the innocent, until the current days and forever more.
The latest even that caught the Belmont family attention was the sudden vanishing of a entire city overnight at Japan and it citizens as well, including those that might knew about what caused it, without any leads about what had happened there, that had to be left behind for some time, that is until now, as certain movements in the church close to it own center had made the current Belmont head, Gabriel's father, Julius to come in contact with the church to seek answers about that incident, of course the initial attempts did not went so well because of the origin of the event but as soon as the church realized that a Belmont would do exactly what they wanted without even asking, which is to destroy the accursed Grail once and for all, a meeting was scheduled and everything had been told to Julius, about how the Grail was a supposed wish-granting machine, about servants and master relation and also about how the greed for it power made it corrupted and dangerous. Not much more was needed to be said after that but Julius listened to it all, in a war against other magi, Julius would need all the information he could get in order to prepare his son, Gabriel, to follow the church orders to destroy the Grail, with that decided, Julius went after the necessary items to summon a specific servant for his son, to combat monsters with a bigger monster, the remains of a gorgon head that were in possession of the Belmont clan were fetched for the ritual that would take place on a nearby future.

Like his ancestors, Gabriel was trained on the arts of battle from his birth, never forgetting his studies as well, having been taught about the family legacy, Gabriel eagerly accepted his upbringing as a blessing, inheriting the values that started centuries ago and still are strong in him, the fact that he is a only child from the main family made the teaching easier but that does not mean that Gabriel was the only kid at home, the Belnades and Morris children were always with him, making the single child to not be alone at all, quite the contrary, the company served to shape Gabriel personality as he always tried to act as the leader of the small gang from usually emerging victorious from they games and occasional fights, creating a certain friendly rivalry between the kids that had been very welcomed by the families as a incentive for all of them to try they hardest and improve themselves. However, unlike at past generations, the heirs of the Belmont family and it sub-branches were all trained to be accepted as masters for the Holy Grail war as per church orders, not being part of a lineage of magi surely made the training harder on Gabriel but the boy never faltered and always did his best at his training.
Such a lifestyle of training went on for most of Gabriel life as the last apparition of a vampire that was a big menace to humanity was defeated by a couple of teenagers at Japan, leaving Gabriel generation free of any big hunt and safe from losing more family members to the vampire fiend. Of course that did not meant a uneventful life as Wallachia hardly is the only danger that humans have to face, in a matter of fact, the biggest danger to humans in these days have been other humans, people that do everything for they own purposes, forgetting or ignoring the welfare of those around them, throwing off they own humanity in exchange of some personal goal, not only vampires but other dark cults and rituals also had been the target of the Belmont justice, the protection of humanity even if against itself. This does add a certain skeletons into Gabriel closet since as the current head of the Belmont family, it was up to him to put a end to those people that tried to overstep theirs and others humanity, to erase the evil forever from Earth's surface, everything had to be purged by holy flame, to leave no trace of what had to be done behind with the exception of the memory of witness at the scene, namely Gabriel himself and occasionally his friends from the branch families as well. It is a given that those happenings were few in number as magi or people capable of using the occult are only a small portion of the world population nowadays nor are the Belmonts the only ones chasing after those that fall to vampirism in their search for immortality.
Thanks to that, Gabriel had plenty of time to do as he pleased with life, namely chasing after skirts, which in a humble way to put it, he is very good at and the opportunities to travel around the globe under the aforementioned missions, giving Gabriel the opportunity to meet many different kinds of women around the globe, upholding on a more recent fame that is remembered with the Belmont name, goes without saying that at some time in this hunting game, Gabriel was bound to find a woman he would actually consider special, a blond woman with strong red eyes, she was the one who had touched his heart, Lisa was her name (Sue me), however fate played it as a love not meant to happen, not because of any grim situation or condition involving any of them but simply a case of a one-sided love, a ironic end for a man that had shattered countless female hearts in his life. A scar that would never heal, Gabriel had heard and been prepared to something like this as it was a common event for a Belmont to lose they loved ones but experiencing it himself was surely very different from any training, but no matter how much it hurt, life does not end there and you must move on, Gabriel approach toward the ladies changed a bit, becoming less distant and more oriented into making himself as a good memory to them.
However, as time passed, the duty that Gabriel had been trained to fulfill got closer, blessing the now experienced man with the mark of participant at the Holy Grail war, the mark of master over his heart, that was the mark of the change as Gabriel moved from Romania to Lucca, Italy, the place where the war would happen under the supervision of the church and also their directly involvement as Gabriel is well aware of as he take all the necessary items to summon his servant after his arrival.
