I apologise for the silence and uncertainty that has gone unanswered the last few weeks. And now the best I can do is offer words of apology and consolation. W2's case is a rather complicated one. When talking about forums and the like, it really gets to that point. After considering my options, and doing some research and experimentation, I have decided that it might be a better idea to migrate the database to a different forum software for the interim.
The migration process I've found is NOT perfect, and testing has led me to the conclusion that accounts MAY be lost, albeit all the posts remain, with some belonging to disappeared accounts being credited to unrelated accounts. However, we don't really have a lot of options at the moment, if we want to quickly resume RPing on W2.
That being said, I do have multiple backups of the W2 database on hand, in case things go wrong. In that sense, all your posts will be preserved despite any losses that might occur during the transfer. Furthermore, I'm currently looking into a couple more alternatives, and hopefully, I might get better results.
The bottom line:
I would like to know what you would prefer to do.
Do you want to perform the conversion now with the present choice, or wait for a better alternative? The former, I can finish hopefully in a few days. The latter will take longer, a little over a week, between the amount of research required and IRL things swamping me. Either way, we'll more likely than not lose our skin, and since I don't know how to skin, well... I guess that's a little inconvenience for the sake of RP... right?
