- Focused and determined
- Rima is a clear worker, and she gets a job done when she is given it. She dislikes people who give up their goals on the way, and respects those who pursue their goals no matter what. Herself, she tries to make sure she fails no expectations, and does her best to uphold her own rules. This is due to that despite her position, she is trying her best, and if people who are in better situations than her does not, she’ll see that as a personal insult. As long as she does her best, no one can blame her. Of course, her best is not much…
- Devoid of dreams
- There is no way she can win. Through her entire life, there has been no shot at being the best. A member of a weak family, following dreams they can never achieve and fanatically pursue anyways. With such low self-esteem that came with this, Rima can be quick to give way and if she thinks she has lost she may simply give up. She may also tell someone there is no meaning in continuing. She’ll do her best for her family, but she’d give up quickly when there is no way it can succeed.
- Annoyed to boot
- Yeah, what a nice life. Everyone would dream of taking this place of hers. So she figures as Rima forever curses her position. Every time she attempts something and it goes against her, she will silently curse within her. Every time she is reminded of her weak magecraft (and that is a lot of times) she curses silently, letting the negative emotions flood her soul. It would take a lot to make this girl laugh, because the annoyance she feels for life is very real. Not a pleasant time to be Rima.
- Slightly intelligent, perhaps even sane
- She’d make an excellent human being. Why? She’s smart enough. She’d prevail at all studies, she could probably make decent plans and prevail in most areas of science. An excellent mathematician and speaker of languages, she managed to learn a language just for this trip. She’s sane enough to understand circumstances, and her mind is always thinking on what to do next. Even when she has given up, her mind keeps working. And if you’d just inspire her to come back, you might find out what she’s been thinking…
- Sensitive to the core
- Believe it or not, Rima is really sensitive to certain words. She is easily influenced, quick to change her mind to minor influence and can very easily be manipulated if presented with hope. This is something Rima herself has not noticed and would need to be told for her to realize it, not that she’d be able to do much about it. In the same way, she’d have very basic emotions swirling around very quickly if complimented, insulted or anything like that. Also, do not comment her height too much. That, at least, she is VERY conscious of. She’s really… been reminded of her height a lot. Really.
LIKES: //
Snow,
Small spaces,
Positive emotions (being thanked, complimented, the like),
Respectable people,
Fictional stories (they always end happily…),
Jogging,
Sweet stuff
DISLIKES: //
Tall shelves,
Lazy idiots,
Being mocked,
Cold water,
Injustice,
Being powerless,
Strong stuff
STRENGTHS: // Intelligent, and willing to act to claim the smallest chance at victory. She is small, and may therefor hide in unexpected places and be more difficult to hit. She is a determined learner, and learned Italian for the sole purpose of this trip. She already knew English from before.
WEAKNESSES: // One of the weakest magi alive, she cannot say a word to more powerful magi if they attack her. She holds low self-esteem, and is quick to give up. She has the build and strength of a little girl, and she is as easy to manipulate as one. Quite frankly, there are a hundred more weaknesses that could be mentioned, but let us simply settle for that she is really, really weak.

MY FAMILY LINE: // On the east coast of northern Japan there is a town which is looking out over the ocean. In that town, on the edge, there stands a mansion. Inside that mansion, which by the way is open for all people to look at, lives the Hakugi magi family. A water-based family that dreams of being able to put their abilities in their crest to be able to manipulate the ocean water to their own desires. That is their quest, that is what they want. They want that huge mash of salt-water manipulated. They had to start somewhere. It was a free family, in which all the people knew about Magecraft, and since it was still so weak there were not really any competition.
The Hakugi family is a 400 year old Japanese family which finally thought they were gaining in age. Sometime in the past, the Hakugi family heard about Western Thaumaturgy when they were in a cooperative deal with a magi from the west for trading reasons, and decided to pay a visit. After some months visit to the Western lands, they decided to dabble in Western Thaumaturgy to gain advantage in that area in the East. This was really a foolish decision, and they were long categorized as too young and incapable of doing anything good as they were discriminated for being Japanese and all. With age, power should eventually come to them, however. They were a water-element family that would soon receive enough power to make a name for themselves. Or so they figured.
Unfortunately, it would appear that the world had decided that they didn’t want this family to exist. Their circuits started decaying before they even had a chance at trying to exist. With each generation after the third, they only got stronger due to passing on the crest, but it was futile. Soon, the crest would not even attempt to latch to some of the heirs due to the lack of circuits. The family, in their desperation, needed to think out something fast. If this continued, all their dreams and all they had done these past 400 years would be lost forever. However, there was nothing they could do. There was no family out there that desired to save them. Why would they? Let dying dogs die. Less competition anyway.
The Hakugi family never found a way out of their situation… at this rate, they were all going to disappear. Now, they are down to their absolutely last member with magi potential, and that is saying something…
Average prana count of the family right now is… one circuit, one prana per circuit. A single maximum prana-count.
MY HISTORY: // Hakugi Rima is a short girl from the Hakugi family. She was born as the weakest member of their family with magi powers yet, and even so she was revered so much because she had any circuit at all. In a deal which proved to be too much for him, Rima’s father died, leaving her the only member of the family left with the ability to do any Magecraft at all. And yet, Rima’s powers are highly limited. With an impressive 4 maximum prana, it is stunning that they can still count themselves as existing. In reality… they don’t. They never did have any influence on the world.
Rima herself never held a great interest in her family’s situation. It all seemed too great for her. She was apparently destined never to be particularly great. Even larger as she’s an exceptionally short little girl. Standing at 1.22 m at 14 years old, she’s so short it could be blamed on genetics. Perhaps the decaying circuits felt like taking her height with them. In desperation of making their little girl special, the family had her hair colored white so it would look more mystical and had blue contact lenses placed over her red eyes to hide them. Since the most Rima had ever found herself capable of doing in Magecraft way was to stir some water or make a slight splash, she didn’t worry too much about Magecraft in her life. After all, it would soon not be able to feed her belly when the support of the Association waned. She needed to get a proper job that would get her money, and all of that.
However, one day her family members came running with some information they had picked up from some book that their father had left behind. It was a book about a way with which they could restore their family, with a single omnipotent wish… in a tournament that was a free-for-all between magi. Rima instinctively knew she’d never win. There was no way. Even with a Servant by her side, there was no way she could win. And yet, a few days later, it seemed like the will of the others in her family had taken over for her. The little girl had found herself with Command Seals, ready to summon a Servant. Her family was so happy. And yet… Rima knew… this was probably the end of her life. Not that she could deny her family’s wishes. She… had to go.
MY GOALS: // None. She knows she’s going to die.
Alternatively, if she somehow would survive, she’d do exactly what her family wanted and reverse the declining circuits. Just because, she’d probably make sure the same thing happened everywhere world-wide, and then she’d have made her mark on history when circuits suddenly started improving instead of declining with time.

A white sheet that is supposedly a dress that she’s wearing. A small suitcase complete with changes of clothes, toothbrush, toothpaste other small necessities for living. A credit card filled with money her family provided for her to support her during the war.
RANK: // Lowest. 7th.
ELEMENT: // Water
EXPERTISE: // None.
MAGIC CIRCUITS: // A single circuit with 1,2 PrC, as well as a crest filled with seven circuits with 0.4 PrC. 1,2 + 7 * 0,4 = 4,0 maximum prana.
SPELLS: //
Lifesblood (Water)
Rank: E
Cost: See Below
Range: -
Effect: A spell that absorbs water molecules in the air to create a more cohesive form to use as raw spell fodder. With enough time and raw matter it is possible to create large bodies of water.
Originally created as a spell for filtration of water and raw material finding, it has recently been found to have the ability to increase its power and efficiency tenfold with merely half the prana that would be required for ten individual spells. If one liter of water would cost two prana, two liters would cost three and so on. The required prana expended thus greatly decreases, making it and incredibly efficient ability while being cheap.
As many water spells require a catalyst in the form of a body of water, it has become an essential ability in guaranteeing the new found offensive capabilities of water magi. It can also be used to purify common water by decomposing the molecules and then reforming them. The spell can also be used to manipulate small bodies of water into various shapes and easily store the production results. A skilled Magus can also decompose already established shapes such as ice and create new water out of it, thus recycling materials nearly endlessly.
Flickering Flow (Water)
Rank: E
Cost: 1 pr
Range: 2 m to target water, 5 m push
Effect: A spell developed by the Hakugi family in their desperate effort to manipulate the ocean. This particular one was to fiercely throw around water for assaults with massive amounts of water and destroy opponents. It failed.
This spell instills a movement in water that is already on a surface. Using this spell, the user can create a minor change in the currents. However, with the amount of strength that Rima contains, she is not capable of doing anything else than make water flush around in a can, for instance. A verse is required to cast, due to the spell's originally intended high rank.
Stain of Salt (Water)
Rank: E
Cost: 2 pr/min
Range: 3 dm
Effect: A spell developed by the Hakugi family in their desperate effort to manipulate the ocean. This particular one was to spit out the salt inside the ocean as projectiles by shaping the water into small water-powered cannons to launch the salt at the opponents in great numbers. It failed.
Maybe not exactly failed, but it only works in really low numbers and with very little velocity. The spell can be focused a small while on a single pocket of salt-water. Salt will start being spit out of the water, with barely enough force to rise two decimeters with an effect that may remind of someone popping popcorn. Unless there is something preventing it, the salt might as well fall back into the water, and it might be difficult to catch as it is quite random how salt is shot out. If focused for a long enough while, one may gather all the salt in one body of water. Useless for anything but gathering free salt, as de-salting the water would take too much prana for Rima to pull off. A verse is required to cast, due to the spell's originally intended high rank.
Artic Show (Water)
Rank: E
Cost: 1 pr
Range: 2 dm
Effect: A spell developed by the Hakugi family in their desperate effort to manipulate the ocean. This spell was made to freeze water into ice that was then to be launched as stalagmites of ice that was to pierce opponents and defenses. It failed.
This spell instills a minor loss of temperature in water. Nothing even sparsely close to freezing it to ice, but the temperature drops somewhat, making it useful for when a drink is served too hot or if there is no ice available for some other drink. A verse is required to cast, due to the spell's originally intended high rank.
Snow Spirit (Water)
Rank: E
Cost: 3 pr
Range: 0,5 m
Effect: A spell developed by the Hakugi family in their desperate effort to manipulate the ocean. This particular one was to create a snow-storm from the water in the air and blaze it over the enemy with a fantastic show of ice and hazardous freezing snow. The snow designed with this spell would remain for quite a while after the spell ended. It failed.
It was supposed to freeze the atmosphere and create snow through water-pressure. At most, it is now a slightly improved version of Lifesblood that the user has no control over. The water around the caster has a somewhat decrease in temperature and some of it is turned to liquid water, without the caster capable of choosing where it should be shaped. Typical use would be that some amount of really cool water is shaped at random around the caster within 0,5 m and rains down for one cold second. Useful for putting out very small fires, doing jokes and making the floor and yourself really wet. As a side-thing, if used at a cold enough place, it really will generate snow. Though, then it is so cold snow would be formed naturally anyway. Just something for someone who cannot wait for snow to fall. A verse is required to cast, due to the spell's originally intended high rank.
