MY FAMILY LINE: //
The much estimeed and muy bleak history of the Brandt family can be traced back to the Age of the Gods themselves for a brief moment. Descended from prophets and powerful magi of that era, the family fell into disarray and eventually splintered into far weaker branches that mostly died off by the year 1500, by which time most traits, tradition and qualities passed through the line were all but gone in a puff of smoke in a matter of over a thousand years of recklessness in which none of the branches managed to keep the line from decaying in any significant manner.
The ultimate result was that the final branch ended up dying, only to be revived a decade or so by the last survivor of the line, miraculously managing to stave off the final push into the zone where the family would irreversely die without any hope. But hope they had and for the past five hundred years this hope was the oh so original idea of inbreeding the line to create more powerful offspring while keeping the traditions intact. Which worked, to a degree.
The line has thus been somewhat revitalized by these actions although traits such as the fabled Eyes of Flowing were still so rare that it would take sometimes producing ten children to even achieve one pair and no guarantees existed that this pair would belong to a physically healthy child to begin with. Or that this child would possess any meaningful talent in the family craft.
That craft is in itself called Prana Craftwork, that being the ability to manufacture and modify objects with prana to produce superb and powerful items unique to the family. The Brandt family does indeed possess a wealth of Mystic Codes because of this, although few are extremely powerful. Because of the nature of this ability, the family has yet to produce a single code that could be called a symbol of their power.
Except the one project that even the Brandt could never possibly finish, the fabled Pandora's Box, an urn said to contain all the evils of the world inside it before being unleashed. Though some progress was made in three hundred years in building a new shell for this elusive and mystic item, it was ultimately abandoned in mediocrity since nobody seemed to have enough mad skills to modify it, Pure Eyes or not. Until someone did indeed manage to modify it, by which time the box was long gone from their hands anyway and they never found out.
Ultimately, the Brandt line continues its decay. Fooling themselves into thinking the power of their circuits is almighty, they'll continue their breeding plans in the foreseeable future while forgetting to advance their own craft, ironically what the one person who doesn't care is actually doing instead of spending his time sitting around while smoking cigars and stroking his beardy chin, busy making an imitation of a cliche villain, said cliche villain being thus Isaak's father. Who doesn't actually show up anywhere anyway. By the way, the next generation raw prana number objective is 240, the current one being 220.
MY HISTORY: //
Isaak Friels, born as Reinhardt Karl Brand, was born to the Brandt family as the first son of a new generation. His parents were closer relatives than most parents would desirably be, though out of necessity, but he nontheless born as a perfectly common healthy infant both inside and outside. As the result of a centuries old breeding, Isaak has excellent inborn qualities. However, then begins his misfortune.
With a total of 192 prana, he would be a natural heir for any family to have. However, this was not enough for the Brandt, who had instituted close breeding programs for the past three hundred years in order to accelerate their growth to their grand former state. Thus, Reinhardt was passed over as heir. However, possessing a keen talent for the family specialty, the crafting of magic items of superb quality, he couldn't possibly be discarded. For this reason, he was formally taught a degree of magecraft necessary for him to work the craft and little else.
When he was five years old, his younger sister was born and he was deemed further useless and ultimately discarded when she became five years old herself, when the procedures for her to inherit the crest were iniciated. Disgusted at his family, Reinhardt had little choice to leave for a boarding school education and ultimately travelled away from his family in an attempt to rid himself of their influence. Despising the magecraft he was taught, he's never since used it, despite enjoying the prolific use of their specialty craft. He begins to enjoy creating items simply for the purpose of creation rather than seeing it as a duty or purpose for his life and this resolve in itself made him the most superior artist that his line would see in centuries, superior to many even before the Brandt name itself was established.
He spent four years in a boarding school in England before ultimately deciding to return home for a final time, decided to break all of his ties to the Brandt legacy and name and seeting off for himself.
On that day, he boarded a jet headed for Switzerland, a jet that never made it to its destiny. It seems a bird had flown into a turbine during flight, destroying an engine. Critical engine failure ensued and a faulty landing gear that burst on mergency landing and forced the already weakened machine to crash near France. The plane had seated 120 passengers, of these, 111 died on impact, including the entire crew. Eight of these passengers would die later that day, from injuries sustained. Except him. Reinhardt, being far more physically resilient than most humans to begin with, survived alive without any major injury. However, on his journey back to the nearest city, he began to bleed profusely. With a weakened body from the crash, even a minor incident would result in grievous wounds for a 14 year old boy.
Though he nearly died, a wandering traveller picked him up and dressed his wounds. The man was himself a former magus. A poor exiled fool who had used his talents as a man to kill other men, all for the sake of the Magus Association and its secrets, a Magus Killer who retired after making enough money for a living and who now took small regular jobs for guerilla and others combat cells near the Middle East.
Having no home to call his own, the young Reinhardt cast out his accursed name and took an alias for himself, Isaak Friels, thus becoming the old magus' apprentice.
As he refused to make use of his own magecraft, the old magus, who wasn't really that old, being 48 years old, decided to simply teach him to perfect his own physical condition and to train his physical attributes as to allow Isaak to choose his own killing methods. Gradually it became apparent that the young Isaak was simply more than talented enough to qualify for whatever combat type he could possibly wish for.
After this, both the old magus, who we've now established isn't that old, and Isaak, simply roamed the Middle East, taking small job after job. The magus would eventually die rather ignomiously from a common shrapnel wound, though not before dispensing some old fashioned mentor speech and advice about Isaak choosing his own path. Of course, he'd failed to notice by now that the boy he'd picked up was little more than a walking shell of his former self. After enduring the trauma of five years of his most precious and most promising years being wasted for the sake of killing, he'd become rather unusual.
Rather than the act of killing in itself, Isaak had became unable to see past the human condition ultimately so omnipresent in the world. He stopped seeing humans as special beings and simply as animals, more meat for the grinders. At this point, Isaak wasn't nearly as broken as he'd become but we'll skip to that just next.
Isaak then spent another two years simply roaming the Middle East and visiting the war torn battlefields of the frontlines. The visions he saw there ultimately broke his mind further. Mass graves of children, old people and women, rampant rape of refugees by the occupying forces and even other refugees, the outbreak of infectious diseases that spread like lightning and ultimately the dozens of thousands of dead refugees found piled upon themselves like cattle, carelessly being torched by disgruntled soldiers who simply complained about having to do this job rather than be out there killing or raping even more for their own amusement. At that point, his mind gave in, somewhere inside him, the dam broke without possibility of repair.
At sunrise, upon the piles of the corpses of refugees were fresh new corpses, bleeding from massive wounds on their bodies, their firearms bent into curious molten and mishapen forms as if someone had simply punched the metal into breaking. Fires has been started at the base of the piles but only these new corpses did not burn. Why did they refuse to burn, is a mystery. The local legends in that region simply say an angry ghost clad in black had stained the sunrise crimson...
Two years later, Isaak surfaced again, now employed by the Clock Tower as a killer. Devoid of purpose in life, he does little more than obey the desires he once had in life, a mockery of his former self. But if nobody knows the depth of his broken image of himself, did the man ever really break to begin with? Simply put, he moves as if a human and he speak with emotions similar to one, acting like any normal being would, with his own set of attributes and unique characteristics. At what point does the mask end and the broken shell begin? Does this elusive war provide a chance for a new development?
Hoping to find out for himself, Isaak travels to Lucca under the guise of a supervisor on behalf of the Clock Tower there to simply watch the actions of the Master candidates and see the worth of their wishes, and of course, to eliminate those more troublesome meddling kids or rather kinks, in his own plan.
MY GOALS: // Isaak's goal is to ostentively prevent any sort of important information leakage in the conflict and to supervise the events of the war and the actions undertaken by those trying to reach the grail. However, his own personal goal is to obtain the grail and gain the ability to travel to parallel worlds. With this ability, he desires to see what his life would be like in another world and thus observe if he could escape the chains of his current fate.

Pandora's Box - A Mystic Code created from the remains of the original legendary box that in legends once held all evils of the world. It allows storage of 108 items of any type. It is a conceptual weapon that ignores sizes and weight limits by storing them inside its own innate boundary field. TBox is actually a sealing mechanism created by the world itself, a type of magical prison. It freezes the concept of time in everything contained inside it and creates a stillness while leaving anything alive inside still conscious but unable to free itself or even move.
It can hold energy and prana itself and posesses a self-defense instinct that allows the contractor to use its inbuilt magics by directly shedding their blood as the price as a type of
The box came to be under the Brandt family by hereditary reasons. The Brandt family are one of several families that can vaguely trace their original ancestry back to the Age of Antiquity with certainty and as such possess several traits that are are extremely rare in this age that are useful in dealing with such artifacts. Among these is the ability to craft and restore such items to a limited degree. It was only natural that after the box was recovered from the Mediteranean Sea nearly 300 years ago that it would come to be under their supervision.
The Box itself was the greatest project the Brandt family had ever undertaken but would be left unfinished for many decades. Isaak would steal and repair the box to its current state between the span of time following his master's death and his sudden reappearence into the Magi world but although the temporary shell is done with superb precision and accuracy it remains far beyond its capacities as a mystical artifact and Isaak is currently seeking news ways to gain more of its true powers.
The box is locked to obey only its master and resembles a normal grey case. Despite its appearence, items larger than it can still be put inside.
Yen Xing - A type of longsword. Made by a craftsman using high quality materials, it is the only weapon in Isaak's arsenal that he neither modified in any way or created, a testament to his opinion of the weapon.
A high quality weapon that was built centuries ago by a nameless and forgotten craftsman of unknown origin, it has the power to damage spirits or beings otherwise immune to physical weapons. Wounds created by its blade take longer to heal when inflicted upon spirits or magical beings.
Anti-Material Rifle "Wizard" - A Rifle designed to fire rounds that pierce armoured vehicles. The first basic frame was a new state of the art AM Rifle but it was modified by Isaak to fire different calibre rounds and to fire shells prepared with elemental charges. As Isaak cannot make these rounds himself, he buys them beforehand and manually prepares each bullet to accept the needed charge before having them modified permanently. He typically keeps a few of these cartridges on hand inside the box but at this point in time seems to have only two cartridges of each element left. He keeps a much larger supply of common AP incendiary rounds for later modification inside the box.
The Rifle itself has a muzzle velocity of about 850 metres per second and an effective range of 2000 metres before sniping becomes too difficult.
Rather than a weapon built to kill humans, it's a weapon custom made to destroy monsters and magical creatures. This enormous gun was especially created by Isaak to deal with servants rather than mages because he felt it unnecessary to carry a normal sniper rifle for the war and that if he would need any ranged weapon at all, it would be already as a last resort.

A type of jougan, it perceives the flow of prana in objects, living beings and in the atmosphere, creating a type of detection that allows the user to sense
even minutes changes in the target's circuit activity even hours after the circuits have cooled down and even if the magus has taken steps to hide it, although it cannot detect servants in hiding.
It displays these flows in a blue wave that encircles each target, the density and intensity of the colour changing with time and the type of activity produced.
This type of jougan is a family trait, albeit somewhat unusual in this day and age and even with selective breeding it has not been possible to replicate its effects reliably.
Though typically used to facilitate the guidance of prana in objects, it's really best put to use to detect magi and magic effects if one is so inclined.
