- The Radiant
- -“Yima the Radiant” – Jamshid was said to shine as bright as the sun itself. And while this was partly due to her supposed ties to the god of the sun, Vivaghat, it mainly stemmed from the woman’s bright personality. As a charismatic, cheerful woman Jamshid was always available to her people. Her dedication to, and love for, them led to her eventual grant her the title as ‘the Radiant’
- Loving
- Jamshid loves her people – and humanity itself, for that matter. Having lived over a millennium, Jamshid has meet more people then she could possibly count and has yet to meet anyone she didn’t love unconditionally from the start. Whether or not she continues to love you is an entirely different matter. She’s kind of like a puppy.
- Fun
- It's a simple thing, really. Yet so often lost in the sea of mythological dramas and tragedys. Jamshid likes to have fun. She loves to laugh, loves to play, loves to explore, loves to eat, loves to sleep, loves to have sex, loves meeting new people, loves to tease, loves life in general. You don't need an awardwinning personality to be her friend, you just simply have to enjoy being around her. And maybe you'll learn to enjoy it almost as much as she enjoys being around you.
- King
- Jamshid ruled over many things in her lifetime. Humanity, Animals, Divs – All of them bowed to her. Humanity had always been her favorite subjects. She loved them almost as much as they loved her. Second in her heart were the animals of the world, who too loved their ruler. Special note went to the elephants, which were a gift from the Dew for being on “good behavior”. She positively adores them. Third were the Djinn, the specific kind of elementals that she ruled over (though her love for them was more of “tough love” with the occasional soft side for those who pleased her). They were the ones who granted her the Jam-e-jam, her legendary cup. The far distant fourth was the Divs, the creatures who she both inherited from her mother and dominated personally. She happily used them as her personal whipping boys. To Jamshid these creatures were disposable and while she held no love for them, she did at least attempt to be considerably…fair? No, more like not as abusive as her mother had been to them. Better than nothing right?

MY LEGEND: //
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamshid
www.iranicaonline.org/articles/jamsid-i
MY HISTORY: //
Jamshid was born into the family of Tahmus, King of Persia and ruler to both humans and Divs alike. When Jamshid was young she encountered Ahurz (or rather an elemental claiming to be so) who asked her to bring his law to men. She refused him, having no interest in forcing men to follow a belief they did not care for. So Ahurz then asked her to rule the lands, to nourish the earth and see that all things prospered. Jamshid then agreed and set out on Ahurz’s mission – First to subjugate the Divs that had plagued a far away land.
She traveled there, seeing the creatures walk freely above the surface. Jamshid proceeded to do as her mother before her and bring the Divs under her control. Those that would not bow she chased from the surface back into their ‘hell’ (read: not really hell) and closed the door behind them. Then with the ownership of the lands back in human hands Jamshid had the Divs reform the earth. Move rivers, flatten plains; all to prepare for her new Kingdom. Once it was done she took flight on her throne and traveled back to her father’s kingdom. It was said when Jamshid flew through the air it was like seeing two sons in the sky. Arriving and explaining to Tahamus what had happened she relinquish her throne to Jamshid, thus beginning her rule.
Her ruler ship of the world lasted over a millennium, living in a golden age produced by her and the blessing she had received from Ahurz. It was a lifetime full of adventures for Jamshid: such as marrying a div with her sister, rescuing her mother from the rectum of Ahriman (also an elemental claiming to be the real deal), tricking Divs with LOGIC, increasing the worlds land mass with the help of Ahurz…she accomplished quite a bit in her life.
But all things come to an end. Attending a meeting in the “perfect lands” with the “best mortals in the world”, Ahuza foretold of a cataclysm that would wipe the world’s surface. He advised Jamshid to build a Sanctuary for man, the Vara, to save as many of the world’s population as possible. Jamshid did so and toke as many people (along with two of every animal, bird and plant) into the Vara as she could comfortably fit. From within she and her people waited out the fiercest of snow storms and floods, after thirty years of being beneath the earth her people emerged from the ground and once again into the sunlight.
And this is when things started to turn ugly.
Humanity, who had been so grateful to their savior Jamshid, had begun worshipping her as if she were a god. Jamshid try as she might was unable to convince them to stop their foolish belief that she was a godly being. From there things snowballed: She lost her Khvarenah and divine blessings, people started to age and die in her kingdom, the classes were falling apart, people were whispering about rebellion...
And so it was that Jamshid, Fourth greatest king of the world, was exiled from her own city. After a few years of wondering across the land, ruling over minor nations in hopes of regaining the feel of accomplishment and love she felt once more, Jamshid was eventually killed by a vassal king called Zahhâk. A man who had been under the influence of Ahriman and posed into attacking what the creature considered to be its greatest enemy.
MY GOALS: //
Jami - The sword that Jamshid carries with her (in the picture above) that she named after her younger twin, Jami. Like Jami this sword was always with her, from the start of her rulership to her eventual exile from her kingdom. As a Caster the sword has little value combat wise, being a squishie and all, with the only real purpose it has is allowing Jamshid to draw her sword dramatically to point at someone. Regardless, Jamshid keeps the sword close to her - as it reminds her of Jami every time she wields it.
NOBLE PHANTASM: //
Solar Aura
~Yima The Radiant~
Rank: A+
Type: Support, Activated
Range: Self
Max Targets: Self
A Khvarenah is an aura of Persian lore that grants fortune to those who have it, Jamshid possessed one of the greatest Khvarenah in Persian myths, said to be ‘the most Khvarenah”. This inborn luck aura was then amplified and altered by Ahurz when she was given his blessing. Her aura granted her invulnerability, immortality and eternal youth on top of her fortune. In some myths it even protected all of humanity from disease and natural disaster. Nothing short of the cataclysm could bring her kingdom to ruins. That said, Jamshid is unable to manafest the 'true form' of this aura, having lost most of it's power during her lifetime and must simply make do with a fraction of it's strength.
The Aura's function is simple:When activated the aura that had protected Jamshid in her previous life manifests and covers her entire body. Extending out a few inches from her body the aura takes the form of a heatless, smokeless blue-ish fire. This flame is a representation of her connection to the sun and the three great fires that were said to protect humanity from harm. The flame protects Jamshid from anything and everything short of A+ ranked attacks. The aura lasts for two minutes before it disperses, which then requires Jamshid to re-activate her aura. The Aura also provides a minor, passive blessing to Jamshid's luck. This is due to the NPs original nature of being a 'luck Aura' and provides her a single + to luck whenever she finds herself in combat.
Due to the cost of the Aura - and the fact that it lights her up as a target for the surrounding area - Jamshid doesn't like to invoke this NP unless it's absolutely necessary.
Jaam-e-Jam
~Gift of the Genii~
Rank:B
Type: Support
Range:All of Lucca (see below for details)
Max Targets: N/A
The Jaam-e-Jam was a cup granted to Jamshid by the Genii. It was said to be filled with the elixir of Immortality, along with being used as a scrying device. With it Jamshid could “Observe all the seven heavens of the universe” and that divinations within the cup were “Deep Truths”.
The NP itself takes the form of whatever Jamshid can find that’s capable of holding enough water to submerge a human in (or rather, large enough for a human to sit in). It could be a plastic container, old tub, kitty pull – whatever she can find up to the size of a small pool; though such a size would be straining on her to maintain. Once she’s acquired the potential ‘cup’ she must take it into her territory and set it into place. Once its spot has been chosen the cup can’t be moved from that position (read: moved more than a few feet from its starting position. One or two tugs on the thing aren’t going to cause it to stop working. That would be silly.) Doing so would cause the ‘cup’ to revert from a scrying device to that of a regular object full of water. If this were to happen Jamshid would have to wait a full day before she can produce another ‘cup’ along with needing a new container and fresh water. Jamshid can only have a single ‘cup’ at any given time.
One the cup has been set up Jamshid is able to view anything in town through the use of her cup. This ‘viewing portal’ is the size of the chosen cup meaning that Jamshid, while she can view anything in the city, can only see a small amount of the city at any given time. If she desires to see more of the city she can do one of two things. One, call out the name of the location she desires to see which will cause the viewing portal to move over to that location in the blink of an eye. Two, if she lacks the name of the location she desires to see Jamshid can manually move the viewing portal herself – which moves at a painfully slow pace, practically a crawl.
It should be noted that while the Cup is capable of viewing the town and seeing through most locations, it can’t peer into the fortress NP of another servant. Should she stumble across a manifested Fortress NP her viewing portal will start to “muck up”, starting with just a little haze in the waters when she’s near to being completely swamp like when she’s directly over the fortress. So while she can’t see into the fortress, she knows where its location is.
Jamshid only has to pay the Rank B cost every time she makes a new cup, after which she only pays a miniscule amount of prana each day to maintain it. She can cut the cost to maintain it even more by flipping it ‘off’ (as in, nothing is shown in the water) and turning it back ‘on’ doesn’t cost her anything. She just goes back to paying the small amount of prana she would have paid from the get go.

King of Genii
~March of the Ifrit~
Rank:C
Type: Anti-Army
Range:Up to a few city blocks
Max Targets: N/A
In her past life, Jamshid was “King of Genii” – or Jinn, as they were called. These beings were supernatural creatures that existed in her era and had proclaimed Jamshid their king (probably due to her elemental heritage). Unlike other inhuman creatures, such as the Div, Jamshid had a good standing with the Jinn. They even gifted her Jaam-e-Jam, a cup that granted her the Elixir of Immortality and allowed her to view all the heavens.
This NP’s function is the ability for Jamshid to summon Jinn, specifically Ifrit – said to be the strongest and most cunning of the Jinn. She is not actually summoning real Ifrit but rather fakes, copies produced with the help of Jaam-e-Jam. These copies stand as seven foot tall Humanoids, muscular and possessing two very large horns on their heads. Unlike real Ifrit, they lack wings and the ability to fly. They’re also about as smart as a sack of rocks, needing Jamshid’s direction to do anything more than mindlessly smash things. They could easily crush a reinforced magus physically, being giant muscular creatures and extremely tough. They can’t, however, match a servant in battle regardless of their strength. They’re mainly used to deal with magi or other potential non-human threats/Army phantasms.
Jamshid creates them through the use of her Jaam-e-Jam, needing only to focus her prana into the container for a single hour to produce a copy out of the enchanted water of the cup. This is the reason for the need for a human sized container, as it drains nearly all the water to form a copy. Afterwards Jamshid will have to refill the container and wait another hour before she can produce another one. Once done the copy will burst out of the water, newly formed and ready to serve its master. She needs to be near the device when she does – within the same room at the least. Jamshid doesn’t need to specifically need to focus her entire attention on the process, able to work on something else while she waits for it to finish.
Each copy requires a small amount of prana each day to keep – about the same it could require for Jamshid to maintain her Jaam-e-Jam. Due to this she can easily keep 30 or so of them sustained. While she can create more (up to a 50) Jamshid prefers to keep the numbers lower to save on prana. Should she suddenly find herself lacking in prana Jamshid can simply destroy her Jinn, causing it to burst into a light mist before fading away a few seconds later.
The Ifrits can move pretty far away from Jamshid – several blocks away from her temple in fact. This is due to their connection to the Jaam-e-jam, which grants them an extra operation range. They are still as dumb as a sack of rocks, sadly, and can only do simple tasks that they mindlessly carry out. Jamshid is capable of providing orders to these Jinn through the use of the Jaam-e-Jam, capable of communicating with the fakes through the device and directing them. However, because of their connection to the Jaam-e-Jam should it ever stop working the fakes would cease to function, all of them bursting into mist and forcing Jam-tan to start from scratch.
