- Perfectionist
- A habit conditioned from a young age, Roc will check over his work a minimal of five times to ensure not a step out of place. Not a line or stone can be left out of place which slows down his speed a good deal. It isn't unusual for him to be up long past when he should have turned in to ensure things are done correctly. While he by no means attempts to enforce this on others it can be a hassle for others to wait on him to finish.
- Passionate
- There are few things, ideals, and people Roc can become interested in. Those that he does maintain an interest in he pursues passionately omitting nothing. All that composes him is given over to the pursuit of whatever or whoever it may be. That said at this time the number of things in this category is few and the people in it non-existent.
- Deadpan Snark
- Frequently prone to thinking up cynical quips to just about everything although rarely if ever mentions them aloud. All coming up from behind his blank work face. A must to retain sanity when dealing with eccentric tower lords
namely you ilya.
- Frequently prone to thinking up cynical quips to just about everything although rarely if ever mentions them aloud. All coming up from behind his blank work face. A must to retain sanity when dealing with eccentric tower lords
- Goofy
- Prone to ridiculous reactions and outbursts as a kid, the trait has not been fully surpressed as an adult. Put him in a shocking enough situation and you'll see this resurface like it never left.
- Firm
Ain't never gonna break my stride, nobodys gonna slow me down oooh no I got to keep on movin!Firm in mind, body, and code. Roc will not easily yield to those who press him or try to sway his view to match their own. He has his own set of beliefs and rules to live by. He sticks to them and if you hope to change that you better have a damn good cross examinationor daemon gant.

MY FAMILY LINE:[/color]
I hereby swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth from this point forward. I accede that the following information is factual and without deciet. The Wrong family has existed as a magi family since 1527 C.E. originating from England. However it was not until 1800 that our family was recognized by the Clock Tower and entered it's registry. The Wrong family has had 8 heads and an average circuit count of 20 circuits with a quality of 10prc.
Originally a family of lawyers they stumbled upon notes concerning magecraft when organizing the estate of a deceased nobleman. Discreetly making copies of the notes the family proceeded to experiment with magecraft to develop methods of discerning truth in court. During one court case a clock tower magus detected their use of thaumaturgy in court and contacted them after the case had ended.
From that point on to the present day the family has acted to settle legal disputes in both magical and mundane courts. They seek to reach Akasha believing that refining methods of reaching truth will allow them to reach back to the "Single" truth, the origin of all things. These methods involve mundane thought processes just as much if not more so than thaumaturgical ones. The family is well known among tower goers when legal matters need to be settled although their magecraft is rather lackluster compared to the flashier families. A bad joke on this has become a saying within the tower, "When you need a legal problem solved, look in the Wrong place."
MY HISTORY:[/color]
As I set my pen to this journal entry, I find my mind travelling back along the path. Down the dusty trail of time, to the halcyon days of my childhood. Perhaps, as a way to fill the empty gap before my journey south begins. Reflecting further, it has been months since I last had time to myself like this. To simply listen to the English rain come down on the window panes. To rest in my home, without pouring over some document or detail. In this atmosphere I can scarcely believe the gap between them is four months now. Each spent in careful preperation for the upcoming days in Italy. Yes, for my trip tomorrow to finalize a deal between the Von Karma head and his future employee. Of that matter, I will say no more here. To expound further would be a breach of contract. Were it not the case I believe I have already dedicated enough time to it.
My life was devoid of drama while growing up. No great tragedies or remarkable events occured in that time. It was a peaceful youth that rolled seemlessly from one day to the next. While some events were repetitive, the days themselves were anything but. Each brought some new thing with it, and I had the time to explore it then. If I had to describe how I felt, it would be feeling free. More free than anyone, or anything else that lived. Running through the city after school let out with my friends. Taking off to explore the inner mysteries of my home town, or the surrounding country side. There was never an empty, or boring day that I can remember from then.
I can still recall my first lesson from my father. Even now, that day remains vivid in my memory. Such that it could have been not ten minutes ago, instead of the nineteen years that passed. On that day I was first introduced to the existence of magecraft. It was a warm, summer day in my father's study. Dust specks floated past the sunlight that peeked inside. There, my father told me we were a family of magi. A six year old boy, told not only that magic exists, but that his family uses it. I was estatic with the knowledge, all former thoughts of playing outside now forgotten. Immediately I began barraging my father with questions. Would he teach me to be a wizard? What is magic? How does it work? Could he shoot fireballs? What magic could he do? So on and so on for some time until, I had to pause for breath. Patiently smiling, he told me I would begin answering those questions for myself. I did not learn any basics or spells on that summer morning, but something far more valuable. I was taught our family's method to all things.
"All magi seek the root of existence from which all springs. Each one seeks a different way to reaching it. We are no different in that regard. We believe that Akasha is Truth. The truth of all things in creation, and of creation itself. Truth is not something that is given to you. Truth is not a singular thing nor does it reside in a single place. Truth simply is. Truth must not be blindly accepted but questioned and reviewed so that we are sure of it.
My son, lies often masquerade in the guise of truth. To discern them is not always easy or possible. We know this, and so we call our family Wrong. As a reminder to ourselves of our fallibility when searching. However, as far away as it may seem we will reach it someday. We look, and we question all things. We think and search while improving ourselves. As time passes we will refine our methods of searching for the truth. Little by little we refine our methods by searching for the little truths. Until that day we are capable of fidning the big one. You may not understand now, but you will with time. I only ask that you keep what I have told you close to your heart. So that one day you can tell this to your own son as I have told you."
True to his word, I did not understand at all. The words and their meaning went beyond me then. What I understood was the importance of his words, and how great my father really was. From that day I looked up to my father, more than anyone else. The more I learned from him, the more impressed I became. No matter how much I learned or searched, there was always something beyond it. That trend continues even today as I lay down my recollections.
From that day forward my days had a new element to them. I began learning our family's professions, both legal and magical. They were deeply intertwined within the other in every lesson. To the point they were almost one and the same. My free time slowly decreased as I grew older, turning from running in fields to research in the study. Soon, I even forgot about play while delving in my work. Following this pattern I reached to the present time, seven pm. I wonder if the child from then would recognize me now? Enough for that line of thought, I'll stop my journal here. I have an early plane to catch tomorrow morning after all. I'll revist it after I finish my business.

RANK:[/color] Rank 3
ELEMENT:[/color] Fire/Wind
EXPERTISE:[/color]
Perception: A vital requirement when defending a client in court is getting evidence to support your claims. Roc has trained his eyes to pick up on frequently overlooked details over the years on various crime scenes and in daily life.
Improvisation: Coming up with new scenarios on the spot, or dealing with whatever unexpected twists come up in the dorama that is court life have given Roc an ability to improvise for new scenarios. Hates having to do so, much prefering to prepare instead.
Legal Expertise: Multiple generations of legal knowledge is available to Roc's disposal from his father's teachings and his family's accumulated experience. This knowledge is stored inside the crest alongside the spells. Be it his own extensive knowledge or the record stored in the crest, Roc is a force to be reckoned with legally. Not that quipping laws will save you in a magical deathmatch tournament.
MAGIC CIRCUITS:[/color] 20 circuits with a prc of 10prc for a total of 200. Another 100 resides in the crest for a total of 300pr total.
SPELLS:[/color]
[Court Record] ([Fire/Wind])
Rank: [E]
Cost: [1Pr]
Range: [Self]
Effect:
[Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil] ([Fire/Wind])
Rank: [D]
Cost: [15]
Range: [10m, directed single target]
Effect: [A single action spell developed and patented by the Wrong family in 1700 C.E. It is the thaumaturgical equivalent to a modern day polygraph. The crest remotely detects and measures several physiological signs of the intended target via subtle shifts in heat and air vibration. This can be gathered from clothing as much as the air around the magi in question. A burning sensation occurs on the palm when lies are detected. Effective for use in any situation the spell is undectectable barring the fact that "Prana is being used" useful for maintaining the masquerade. The spell does not directly affect magi bypassing resistance.
[Geis Contract] ([N/A])
Rank:
Cost: [20]
Range: [Single target or Self]
Effect: [A rarely seen, binding magecraft contract considered one of the most merciless available. An enforced curse that forcibly uses the functions of one’s own magic crest to carry out a geis specified in the contract. A literal deal with the devil taken upon oneself and considered a maximum concession in mage society. Once signed a portion of the user's free will is sealed within the crest carrying out the contract.Theoretically, it has a power that cannot be erased by any method. Even if the caster lost his life, the magic circuits would bind the soul of the dead man to the agreement.
In order for the contract to be considered valid the target must sign in their own blood of their own free will else the contract will be considered voided. The contract must also be well written out to ensure no loopholes exist for the target to escape from. In order to do so the writer must have a good knowledge of the situation in order to avoid errors or loopholes.
The general format of the contract states a Target, that the magic circuits shall bind said target to the agreement without exception, an oath the curse enforced upon the target by the contract, and the conditions that when fufilled will confirm the contract as an unbreakable curse.
Binding magecraft Target: [insert name here]
The circuits of [insert name here] hereby command:
Oath: [Geis to be enforced on the target]
Conditions: [When met will activate the curse] ]
Rank: [EX]
Cost: [NA]
Range: [NA]
Effect: [Special mode Roc enters into upon collecting all necessary evidence. Using the chant, "OBJECTION! I have all I need! I have more evidence! The one who actually commited the crime, is YOU! No alibi, no justice, no dream, no hope. TAKE THAT!" Roc points his finger at the target. Evidence is presented and target is immediately given a guilty verdict. All guilty parties within 300 miles are summarily convicted. If no evidence is on hand evidence summarily appears. Bullsh*t cast within this mode is automatically converted to "The most plausible scenario". Those who are revealed to be the culprit will experience extreme hysteria, dementia, self destructive tendencies, and emotional outbursts. Turnabout mode can only be used when Roc has been pushed into a corner and has run out of other available moves.]
