- Curious
- Above all else Jack is driven by his need to understand the world in which he resides. He is constantly studying, researching, and asking questions. He tries to psychoanalyze people close to him in order to find out how they tick and is very put off when he is unable to understand them. He believes that everything has a rational explanation and being unable to know the reasons for everything is one of the contributing factors to his downward spiral into sociopathy and murder.
- Intelligent
- Supporting his underlying curiosity is a keen and biting intellect. His mind is quick, scientific, well learned, and intuitive. He solves problems easily, learns quickly, remembers things with near perfect clarity and is minutely observant. In fact it is his great intelligence that leaves him so frustrated at being unable to understand why he understands so little. A poster child for over thinking, when he can't reach logical conclusions based on observable effects he goes (quite literally) mad.
- Cold
- Beneath layers of lies, justifications, and self delusions Jack is, at his core, a cold and calculating person. While he may come off as axe crazy, affably evil, or even genuinely charming given his wit and out modded sense of gentility he actually has extreme amounts of trouble relating to other people in a human fashion. The only catharsis he gets from his subconscious isolation is in the shared experience of pain, misery, and murder.
- Sadomasochistic
- While his murderous behavior began as a deep need to understand and be understood by other humans, and while he gives that as well as many other reasons for his spree of murders, Jack has come to truly enjoy pain. Inflicting it, receiving it, his twisted mind has become unable to tell the difference. And his depraved desires goes beyond the mere physical, delighting in grief, anger, sorrow, and all manner of mental anguish as well. He constantly plays mind games with his opponents in an attempt to upset and unbalance them.

STRENGTHS: // Stealthy and intelligent, Jack uses underhanded tactics and rigorous pre planning in any attack. A master at operating in urban areas while remaining undetected, his body count was already in the double digits by they time of his infamous and public Whitechapel murders and he was never apprehended or even suspected of any of his heinous crimes. He always has a way out, a plan B, or a card hidden in his sleeve that he uses to great effect. He is a master at one on one combat and an expert at misleading, confusing and separating his opponents.
WEAKNESSES: // One of the weaker Servants, Jack is awful in a straight fight or a stand up battle. His combat tactics depend on separating and defeating enemies one by one, when faced with multiple attackers at once his effectiveness drops by orders of magnitude. He was legendary as a murderer, not a fighter, and this reflects its self directly in his tactics and weaknesses. In addition his unique skills and his Noble Phantasm make him nearly powerless during the day time and nigh unstoppable at night. He also fails at protracted battles. Any enemy he cannot finish in the first strike will generally beat him.

MY LEGEND: // Wikipedia
MY HISTORY: //
Jacob Heller was born the son of a poor immigrant day laborer in London, 1868. His life was very typical for a street urchin of his day and age. He was often unsupervised, dirty, hungry, and largely free to pursue his own ends. Even from an early age his sharp intellect and capacity for complex planning made his petty thieveries successful. His pockets always jingled with unsuspecting passerby's coin and his belly was always filled with foodstuffs ingeniously lifted from street vendors. This is perhaps the earliest point at which concepts of crime and consequences were divorced from each other in his mind.
As he grew the simple life on the streets wasn't enough for him. Driven by the desire to understand the world he lived in he devoted himself to study and self improvement. Eventually, without any formal education beyond his own boundless curiosity and drive to learn, he was accepted on a scholarship to the Frankfurt Academy of Medical Science. While there he studied as a general practitioner of medicine but quickly discovered an aptitude for surgery and switched his vocation. It was at the Academy that he committed his first murder.
He was doing an intensive study during his thesis on experimental surgery when he hit a wall in his research. As he put it 'The human body is an interconnecting series of systems. It is difficult to understand a system in motion once it has already ceased to function.' With that in mind he lured a class mate into a carefully prepared operating theater, drugged and restrained her, then performed insidious surgeries on her while she struggled and screamed. His thesis was published and considered ground breaking. Her body was never found and he was never implicated in her disappearance.
What followed was a string of grizzly and secret murders carried out as perverse medical experiments. But as Jack became more and more adept with his knife his life and his relationships with the people in it began to degrade. Driven as always by his all consuming curiosity he found he now had a new problem to tackle. He understood the intricate inner workings of the human body. But he knew next to nothing about people themselves. By now fully in the grip of madness, murder and sociopathy he found it impossible to relate even slightly to the human emotions displayed in people around him. He didn't understand them, and the not understanding was driving him even more insane.
He found his catharsis when he visited a prostitute in Whitechappel, 1888. He did so, not out of sexual desire, but as a clinical experiment on himself to see whether or not he was capable of connecting with another human being. Eventually he killed her, his first spontaneous victim, and found that the rush of shared pain as she struggled against him was exactly what he was looking for. This was something he could understand. Agony. Misery. Echoed in himself and his victims and serving as his last bridge to the human race. He killed 11 more prostitutes in Whitechappel over the next 6 months. They remained among his only 'public' murders where careful planning was neglected and remains were left for the police to discover. Still, Jack was too much of an expert not to cover his tracks and was never implicated in any of the killings himself.
At this point the man himself fades into history, another twisted soul on life's eternal journey from birth to death. But the Whitechappel Murders immortalized him as Jack the Ripper, a creature out of nightmares. A master of shadow and terror and lies and gruesome death. And it is that version, more legend than man, that has been called forth to fight in the Grail War.
MY GOALS: //
Jack has no goals and no desires. He has no wish to make if he wins. He was only summoned in order do battle, to inflict and receive pain.[/blockquote]
NOBLE PHANTASM: //
Schatten Schritt - Shadow Stride
Rank: C
Type: Support
Target: Personal
Jack can step into one shadow and out of another one as though passing through a doorway or portal. This reflects his slippery, shifting nature and allows him to be constantly mobile while fighting, forcing a victim to sweat not knowing which shadow the next attack may come from. Shadows act like a doorway for him and he is able to step through them provided they are wide enough to accommodate his mass. He can emerge from any shadow visible from his current position without risk, jumping farther than that means he's jumping blind and is generally only done as a last ditch escape effort to a carefully pre prepared location.
Hollische Schwarz - Hellish Black
Rank: C
Type: Support
Target: Area
Jack creates an area of artificial night swallowing himself and his victim. Those with the powers to sense such things are able to tell that he isn't shifting the actual order of things, but rather recreating the conditions of a different occasion (specifically the conditions present on Dorset Street, Whitechapel, England, April 3rd of 1888). This ability draws a massive amount of mana and is limited to a small 30 x 30 ft area. Once summoned it lasts for 5 minutes or until dismissed.
CLASS ABILITIES: //
Presence Concealment D/A+: Jack's Presence Concealment class ability is unique in that it operates differently depending on his physical location. Out doors during the day or in bright lights it operates at the D rank. Jack appears as a tall, slender, somewhat unsettling but otherwise average human. He gives off no aura and cannot be detected magically except by spells that would also detect ordinary humans. It only disguises his status as a Servant. However when standing in darkness or shadow it leaps up to A+ rank. Jack seems to sink into the shadows, becoming indistinguishable, undetectable, and invisible until he attacks.
SKILLS: //
Surprise Attack A+: Jack's first attack during any given fight, as long as he attacks from concealment, is vastly more powerful than anything else he is capable of. Slinking past unaware victims defenses to go for the throat, Jack made his name by killing unaware victims when they were at their most vulnerable. Given his lack of offensive Noble Phantasms and generally sub par stats this is his only reliable means of dealing damage to an opponent. As long as the conditions necessary for the attack exist it is Jack's one utterly unavoidable attack.
Terror B: Terror operates much like the Subversive Activities skill but, rather than targeting a victim's combat skill, it targets that victim's perception and intuitive skills. Jack is unnaturally menacing, frightening, and sinister. Anyone aware that they are being stalked by Jack fights panic, suffers from impaired decision making, and in extreme cases may become paranoid or even delusional, seeing Jack in every shadow or mistrusting friends and allies. In concrete terms this means that the victim's concept of reality is skewed. Skills like Intuition, Eye of the Mind, and Field of Detection are severely hampered as the victim second guesses themselves and distrusts their senses. Counters Bravery at lower ranks than it's self. At the same rank the success of the skills depends on the victim's Mana stat.
Mental Pollution C: The twisted nature of Jack's mind renders mind affecting abilities largely useless against him. Like all ranks of Mental Pollution he has a similar amount of trouble relating to people without a similarly perverse worldview.
Disengage C: Jack can leave any combat and reset the battle conditions to what they were at the beginning of the match.
