- Honorable
- Though with little regard for strict chivalry Pellinore has a strong sense of fair play. He strives to fight on an even playing field, if his opponent is unhorsed he will gladly dismount as well.
- Large Ham
- As a rule Pellinore is loud and bombastic, and never keeps a low profile even if it might be called for. Always has something to say, generally at a volume that others aren't quite comfortable with. Laughs easily and often.
- Rude
- Pellinore never saw a social more he wouldn't delightfully smash.
- Cunning
- Often taken for a fool and certainly no scholar Pellinore can display surprising insight. A matter of instinct rather then analysis.

STRENGTHS: //
An absolute terror in melee combat with few weak-points within reach of his foe. Incredibly tough and hard to put down. His weapon can counter many advantages making a for a potentially deadly trap against other heroes. Direct and decisive with few doubts or distractions.
WEAKNESSES: //
Has limited ability to counter a ranged strike, making Archers a natural counter. Comparatively weak against magic for a warrior type. Does not know the meaning of the word subtle. His tactics are as a rule simple and direct. His personality is likewise, making him difficult to control. A devotion to his notions of fair play will sometimes lead him to cede advantages he might otherwise win with.

MY LEGEND: //en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pellinore
MY HISTORY: // Born in the castle of Corbenic in Listenoise, Pellinore comes from a line chosen to guard the Holy Grail of Arthurian lore. His line came from Joesph of Arimethea, who brought the vessel of the "Son of God" to Britain and who had held it in sacred unbroken trust. Every family must have its black sheep though. From the earliest days though Pellinore cared little for his position and alleged responsibilities, repelled by the heavy mores of piety and faith he yearned for excitement and adventure. Having a brother he felt free to spend his life pursuing his own interests. Being chosen as co-ruler beside his brother Pelles (who became the Fisher King) was merely an attempt to keep a wild child at home. A pure formality without substance. It may have worked in time, but King Pellinore was struck with a madness. Sighting the strange fae creature known as the Questing Beast he was enraptured, and left the lands of the Grail compelled to seek the beast. He returned home from then on no more then one season in three.
Wandering the lands King Pellinore fought with countless knights encountered in his endless quest and had many adventures, accruing a reputation for his immense skills. One such contest was remembered above all others. While pursuing the Questing Beast Pellinore encountered a young knight. No less a person then the King of Knights, still young and yet to come into her full glory. They fell to combat first in jousting then in melee. Though more powerful and possessing the sword in the stone Caliburn, the King of Knights was overconfident. A sore mistake. Pellinore consistently held the advantage. Surprised and shaken the young king broke the rules of chivalry, a deep sin against her principles and lost her weapon as consequence. It would have been the end of King Arthur's legend had not the wizard Merlin intervened, striking down Pellinore with his spells thus rescuing his King.
Bearing Pellinore no ill will the two Kings were later reconciled with Pellinore joining the Knights of the Round Table. Among Arthur's allies he stood perhaps the highest in the younger days of the realm. At the King's wedding Pellinore held a place next to Merlin in honor of his deeds against the rebel Rience. Not uneventful the wedding led to the famed Quest of the White Hart. Though of mind to pursue the titular beast involved in the tale the King was sent to retrieve a mysterious damsel. In this he succeeded but not without heavy cost. In his obsession with his quest he neglected to aid a lady and wounded knight along the way, who to his sorrow he learned on his return was his own daughter and her beloved. For his failure he received a curse that his greatest friend would fail him in his hour of greatest need. This deed had longer reaching consequence as the damsel was no less a person then the Lady Nimue who would later ensnare Arthur greatest adviser the wizard Merlin.
On the field of battle Pellinore stood high, with only the most famed of knights surpassing his ferocity. A life full of battles suited Pellinore perfectly, but to his regret he was never able to persuade his king to a rematch with Excalibur. Likewise though he pursued it endlessly Pellinore never caught the Questing Beast, which eventually found its end at the hands of Palomedes the Saracen who was a friend of Pellinore.
His own prowess sowed the seeds of his own eventual downfall though. In the Battle of Tarabel in the conflict with Rience, Pellinore slew King Lot, brother-in-law to the high King and father of several famed knights. Foremost among them Gawain. While a more socially apt man might have healed the gap, Pellinore remained unapologetic about his deed resulting in blood feud with the sons of Lot. In the strife that ended the realm the sons with Gawain in the lead slew Pellinore, who fell undefended by any of his friends fulfilling the curse he invoked earlier in life.
MY GOALS: // Face Excalibur in battle, failing that lots of fighting will suffice.
[/blockquote]
Longsword- A large sword of the hand and a half type. Possesses no name or special attributes aside from being able to stand in combat with Heroic Spirits. Wielded by Pellinore when he feels his spear would eliminate too much challenge.
NOBLE PHANTASM: //
Kingbreaker- Black Lance of the Cancellation
Rank: B
Type: Anti-Unit
Range: 2-4
Max Targets: 1
A spear forged of cold iron and laid with a powerful counter-curse that nullifies all magical enhancements and prana constructs upon contact. Will cancel any Noble Phantasm's activation while in contact while any prana connections are severed. An absolute effect considered an "Anti-Phantasm" since it interferes with the use of prana but only in the instance of connection. Less direct effects may be unaffected, for example a summoned beast will not simply be banished by its body being attacked. Does not break or permanently nullify things like contracts or lasting curses.
The weapon used by King Pellinore in his famous battle with Arthur who overcame the King of Knights in jousting. In the battle a violation of Arthur's standard of chivalry led to the total suppression of the sword Caliburn, in turn letting it be broken by Pellinore. Originally created as a weapon to defend the Holy Grail held in Listenoise, a faint echo of the Spear of Destiny that later maimed Pellinore's brother and his entire homeland.

Questing Beast- Endless Mad Hunt
Rank: C
Type: Support
Range: N/A
Max Targets: 1
A curse that dominated Pellinore's life. Pursued an endless hunt for a strange creature known as the Questing Beast, for those that looked upon it were often struck with an irresistible desire to pursue. As a consequence Pellinore is at his strongest while in the hunt, pursuing again his never ending quest.
Designating a single target as the beast of his pursuit will gain a one rank boost to Strength and Endurance while in combat against the chosen target. He is also immune to any mental interference from the target. During this time Pellinore will refuse combat with any other foe excepting they are between him and the target and pursue the target unceasingly. Unable to focus on any other target he suffers a one rank penalty to Instinct except against his target. He cannot communicate rationally with the target or anyone else during this time responding only in accordance to his warped delusion, and is unable to surrender or withdraw. Lasts fifteen minutes or until the target is defeated, but cannot be cancelled. Only one target may be chosen per battle.
Achieved by Pellinore convincing himself that the opponent in front of him is in fact the Questing Beast. A creature known to have been describe more then one way. Drawn from Pellinore's failure to slay the beast in life, leaving remnants of the cursed obsession permanently within him.

CLASS ABILITIES: //
Magic Resistance: C
Protection against magical effects. Differently from the Resistance effect that merely rejects prana, this ability cancels the spells altogether.
C: Cancel spells with a chant below two verses. Cannot defend against Magecraft on the level of High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals.
SKILLS: //
Battle Continuation: C
Strength of vitality for predicaments. Also, the ability to withdraw from combat and reach allied territory alive after being defeated.
C: Capable of ignoring serious wounds for a limited period of time.
Instinct: A
The power to "feel" the most favorable developments for oneself during battle.
A: Refined sixth sense is now close to true precognition. Bonus effect of reducing by half the penalties caused by obstructed vision and hearing. (Reduced to B during Questing Beast for any target but the focus)
Riding: B
The expertise to ride animals and vehicles. A well known knight who spent much of his life in transit hunting a magical beast Pellinore possesses this as a personal skill.
B: Most creatures can be rode with above average skill. However, cannot ride those of Demoniac Beast and Holy Beast-rank.
Wildernes Survival: B
Capacity to stay alive in the wild. Skill to move through difficult terrain while tracking and hunting prey. Can track a beast, compensate for a lack of supplies, or move across terrain that would normally slow progress. For example a normal person will loose their sense of direction in a forest and be forced to push through undergrowth with effort making only slow progress with considerable risk of loosing their way, tracking another entity is impossible and they suffer reduced awareness. Users of this skill can read the minute signs indicating the easiest path or signs of a targets passing, while keeping their sense of direction and being able to remain alert. Increased ranks allow for a broader variety of natural terrain to be handled and further decreased penalties. Possessed by hunters and others more at home in uncivilized spaces. Meaningless in urban environments.
B: Able to survive indefinitely in any natural environment regardless of initial supplies. Nullifies penalties to movement and awareness deriving from terrain.
