- Eye for an Eye
- My right for freedom was taken away without remorse; when I objected, I was immediately beaten, and my the chastity of my daughters was tainted. In return, I took an army with me and killed, killed as much as I possibly could, so they would pay for their sins against me, as a person and as the leader of my people, which they have wronged. I will not stand there idly and take any punishment - if you do me or my friends wrong, you had better prepare to receive double the suffering you have inflicted.
- Loyal Soul
- I do not forget good deeds, no matter how small they may be. I know I am not able to please everyone, but it is my wish to repay kindness shown towards me if possible. On the same note, friends who are there for me and are important to me, I will protect with my life. Bear this in mind, for I will always assist someone who deserves it in a time of need.
- Motherly Instinct
- While it may not seem like it, I believe I have been a good mother to my daughters. Sometimes I feel the need to be a guide to the clueless and young, show them how to live life and how to do certain things. Tell them when they do something they are not aware is wrong, reprimand and punish them as necessary, and naturally reward and compliment them if they make an effort to be good. I admit I can also be a might overprotective of such people, and it's difficult for me to disassociate from them even if they ask.
- Faith
- At times, things don't always look good. Perhaps even hopeless. I know how people feel when they think that; I have been left in despair quite often. However, letting yourself wallow in despair and self pity is by far the worse thing you can do about the matter. Instead, you can fight - try to change things. As long as you do something other than sit around and curse silently to yourself, things WILL change. Everything will be okay in the end; if things aren't okay... it isn't the end.

STRENGTHS: Boudica considers her best strength to be her determination. She will not back down from a fight or an argument and will always give any challenge posed to her the effort it deserves. More often than not, she will also prevail in the end. With great physical power, even stronger spirits backing her up and a mind that thinks quickly on its feet, the red-haired woman is a fearsome opponent. In addition, while she often denies or doesn't talk about it, Boudica is a rather attractive woman for someone in her 40s, somehow looking much younger than she should. While this doesn't usually add much to her advantage in combat nor does she rely on it, it's just another nice trait that she has been blessed with.
WEAKNESSES: Even she will admit that Boudica, even though she always sees things to their end, doesn't always think them through to the end. Her mind may often get clouded by anger or frustration; with no one to hold her back, this state will usually end with bad results and a hot-headed woman who has more than likely learned nothing. She is not a bad planner or a strategist, but may end up with only half a plan if she is too raring to go out and execute it.

MY LEGEND: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boudica
MY HISTORY: "She was huge of frame, terrifying of aspect, and with a harsh voice. A great mass of bright red hair fell to her knees: she wore a twisted torc, and a tunic of many colors, over which was a thick mantle, fastened by a brooch. Now she grasped a spear, to strike fear into all who watched her." Dio Cassius
Boudica was the queen of the Celtic tribe, the Iceni, a rich tribe that had many families and traditions. A commanding woman of royal blood, her very name meant 'victory'. Prasutagus, her husband and king of the Iceni and its main leader, had made an agreement with the Romans when their intention was to conquer the lands and extend their reaches - knowing the warriors in the Iceni tribe were no match for Roman soldiers, Prasutagus had basically agreed to surrender quietly and not risk the extermination of his homeland and people. In return, his tribe would be preserved and they would remain nominally independent, with their own royal family.
Despite his agreement, the threat of Roman domination was ever present. Once soldiers were installed, their army had to be supported from local resources - The Romans began to suck the resources from the Iceni in terms of money as well as agricultural surplus. This was a very difficult thing for the tribe, finding themselves having to pay for their own army of occupation, and something they resented very deeply; Boudica in particular would be gravely insulted by the actions of the Romans.
By 60 AD, when Boudica's two daughters had already reached adolescence, her husband Prasutagus finally died of an illness after a long and prosperous reign, leaving a will behind and passing leadership of the tribe to his wife, who bitterly accepted it along with her husband's death. His will was read by the senior Roman tax collector in Britain, requesting to leave half of his land to the Romans while the other half will remain for Boudica and her two daughters. However, his will was ignored - with his death, the agreement with the Romans died as well, and the Romans immediately set out to take all of what belonged to the Iceni tribe, claiming it as their own. They will turn the Iceni from an allied state into a conquered province.
The Iceni was soon plundered by the Romans - every coin, any jewelry and anything of value to the Roman emperor would be taken from everyone in the tribe by force, as if they now deserved to take everything that the tribe owned. Queen Boudica wasted no time to protest, but her harsh words meant nothing to the Romans, who saw her actions as an act of rebellion. Tied down, she was ordered to be flogged and beaten. Also soon after, her daughters were raped as an act to humiliate and demoralize, rendering the girls tainted and unmarriageable, and Boudica horrified, insulted and consumed with rage.
The Romans have taken their land, enslaved their families, took all that belonged to them - they meant to destroy the Iceni, and the 'friendship' the two shared had long since been killed. Deciding there was nothing left to lose fighting back the Romans and avenging her tribe, Boudica set out to Trinovantes, a tribe who had also been victimized by the Romans in the close-by settlement of Camulodunum. The two tribes met and agreed that they now shared a common enemy that is Rome, and there was no other choice than fight back. They began to prepare for war, and their first target would be Camulodunum, where the statue of Claudius, the diseased emperor of Rome was erected.
In the meantime, the governor of Rome and leader of the Roman army, Gaius Suetonius Paulinus was leading a campaign around the island of Mona in Wales, which was a refuge for British fugitives and a stronghold of the druids, who were responsible for the power behind the various resistances from the tribes of Britain to the Roman empire. Realizing that to make any lasting impression, he must first dispose of the druids, he set out with around 10,000 men at his disposal. Suetonius slaughtered any life he could find in that stronghold - the slaughter of the druids was done with quickly, leaving not a soul behind.
Boudica continued to amass an army, many miles away from the destruction. Not only the Iceni tribe followed her lead at this point, but many other tribes who were angry at the Romans for taking away their freedom and oppressing them. Around 230,000 people joined Boudica in the fight, and finally they all set out to Camulodunum with its total destruction as their goal. The settlement was surrounded by an overflowing army of Celtics who wanted nothing but revenge, and right before the act, Boudica spoke. "I thank thee, Andraste, and call upon thee as woman speaking to woman. Those over whom I rule are Britons, men that know not how to till the soil or ply a trade, but are thoroughly versed in the art of war and hold all things in common, even children and wives, so that the latter possess the same valor as the men. As the queen, then, of such men and of such women, I supplicate and pray thee for victory, preservation of life, and liberty against men insolent, unjust, insatiable, impious."
The small Roman force in Camulodunum was far too small, and was easily overpowered. The settlement was taken by complete surprise, having never expected a rebellion of such a size. Not even defended properly, it was a matter of little time until it was burned to the ground - everything in sight destroyed by bloodthirsty warriors, every life taken with abandon. They had no interest in subduing the Romans - they wanted to obliterate them off the face of their sacred earth, and this was the harsh fate of Camulodunum and the temple built for the late emperor Claudius. Messengers were quickly sent to several Roman leaders, Suetonius among them, who was still very far from the destruction after slaughtering the druids, and he would take several days to reach Boudica in order to stop her raging army.
Following the destruction, a legion of heavily armored and equipped Roman soldiers, numbering about 2000, was sent to intercept Boudica where she set camp, coming from the north and passing through a lightly forested area. Hearing of this, the Iceni queen took her soldiers and rather than wait for the legion to come, they ambushed them and caught them by surprise. The legion was uninformed - they had no idea that the rebellion of the Britons was as big as it was, thinking it would only be a small group running around creating havoc. The truth was soon revealed to them as they walked through the woods, completely overpowered and crushed by hundreds of Boudica's warriors, having being the last thing the Romans expected. The commander of the legion was the one of few who managed to escape the massacre and took shelter in his camp.
Boudica set out for Londinium with her army, her next target. It was the 'juiciest' and richest city, the commercial heart of the Roman economy. Deducing that this is where the raging tribes will strike next, Suetonius headed for Londinium as well to meet Boudica in battle with his many warriors. He knew nothing of her forces either, and set out to see what was going on for himself. A few days into his journey, the startling news spread to him - the 9th Roman legion was destroyed by the warrior queen's forces. Shocked and in a state of disbelief, Suetonius continued on his collision course with Boudica as they both headed towards Londinium.
The same tax collector, the Roman official who had ordered Boudica to be flogged and her daughters to be raped, fled Londinium and the country as soon as he heard about the destruction of Camulodunum, in fear of being mercilessly killed. Suetonius reaches Londinium before Boudica, hearing that the official, Catus, has fled to Gaul and left Suetonius to deal with the mess which was Londinium, its residents in a state of panic. Additionally, his reinforcements of ten thousand soldiers have not arrived, and Boudica's army only nears. Realizing it is impossible to defend the poorly guarded Londinium, Suetonius abandoned it after telling its inhabitants to clear out the town, taking his army along and retreating.
It wasn't long before Boudica reached Londinium, and the rest was history, as it were. The people who were left in the small, thriving town were all brutally killed in many violent ways, their homes ransacked, and the city burned to the ground just as Camulodunum did, reduced to smoldering ashes. Finishing that business, the raging tribe continued to move north up Watling Street in pursuit of Suetonius, reaching the third largest Roman settlement on the way called Verulamium; naturally, it was also destroyed and burned to the ground.
Suetonius rode ahead of Boudica after reuniting with his many soldiers. He chose a place to confront her with the most tactical advantage; a narrow land, a defile with a wood behind him, preventing being surprise attacked from any direction. As the defile was narrow, Boudica could not send out her full force to attack - she would not be able to fight with more soldiers at a time than Suetonius had. Greatly outnumbered, this strategy was his only hope of repelling the rebellion. Passing two or three days, he waited - this is where the final battle would take place.
After both forces rallied themselves up, the battle began. The Romans stood in wait as the Iceni, at least five or four times larger than the opposing force, charged forward in a frenzy, led by Boudica riding her chariot. Once they got close enough, the Romans began their counterattack - they threw javelins at the front line of the attack, and with hardly a means to defend against these hundreds of flying spears, the front of the attacking force was decimated. However, there were many more - a second wave of angered Celtic warriors promptly charged at the line of Romans, and the real bloodbath started.
With their shields at the ready, the Romans were impregnable, as they could not be overwhelmed by too many people at once due to the narrow defile, and they successfully repelled and killed the oncoming warriors. Not without casualties of their own, but the Romans were clearly gaining the upper hand. Eventually, Suetonius ordered his force to take the offense - the soldiers of Rome advanced and trapped the warriors in a wedge formation. Even as the Iceni warriors fled, they had nowhere to go - a train of wagons blocked their path, full of families of the warriors who were completely certain that their tribe was going to win over the Romans. Those fleeing were trapped and crushed, and the Romans advanced to kill even those in the wagons, sparing no women nor child.
A few hours later, the battle was decided. Most of the Iceni was slain in the hands of the Romans with their superior tactics, with Boudica surviving the large scale fight. Graving her sudden loss, her failure at revenge and at taking back her freedom, the woman later poisoned herself so at the very least, she would not be taken as a prisoner, and took her own life. Boudica was remembered and revered as a freedom fighter who fought the oppression of the Romans who tried to take away everything she had. Even though she was not successful, the Celtic war queen had left a lasting impression and a large mark on history which would remain for eternity, reminding everyone how hard she fought to release and avenge her people.
MY GOALS: To once again be able to live life to its fullest would be a wish she would like to see fulfilled; perhaps even get another chance to be a better, successful leader to her people, if such a miraculous opportunity arises.

Prasutagus - A long, sharp spear named after Boudica's dead husband. She prefers having a long reach, and despite not being as proficient with it as any Lancer, the spear is light enough to allow her to move around quickly and sturdy enough to withstand most blows. Being a normal spear infused with Boudica's power of faith, it has a small chance to break through magical defenses with each strike.
NOBLE PHANTASM:
Goddess of Victory
Power Borrowed from the Heavens
Rank: B+
Type: Support
Range: 10
Max Targets: All allies; self under certain conditions
Invoking the ancient goddess of victory, Boudica endows each of her Heroic Spirit allies with a temporary boost to to their Endurance stat. Each Servant who Boudica recognizes as her ally during a battle will receive the effect of one added rank to their Endurance (ex: From E to D; A will turn into A+, and A+ cannot be increased further). However, Boudica will not gain from this bonus herself unless she has two allies or more at her side under the effect. She can remove this effect from any ally at will to preserve her mana, as more allies under the effect will require more energy from her.
Goddess of Victory needs to be activated and is not always in effect. It requires mana to sustain, and while Boudica may still move around and fight normally while it lasts, she will likely not be able to use another Noble Phantasm unless she cancels this one prematurely. The estimated time she can keep it active is five minutes with one ally, shortening to about two or three if another receives the boost. Naturally, this Noble Phantasm is useless if Boudica fights alone, as the positive effects of it do not apply to Masters.
Pride of the Iceni
The Mounted Queen
Rank: A
Type: Anti-Personnel
Range: 100
Max Targets: 10
Boudica calls upon the chariot which she had used to fight her battles against Rome, pulled at the front by a strong pair of phantasmal horses. Glowing in a holy light, being on this chariot increases mostly every aspect of her fighting ability; Her Agility jumps straight to A+, as the chariot can travel incredibly quickly on the ground and even fly through the air for a while. Her offensive and defensive capabilities also increase, as while the horses can be killed, they have very high endurance and are able to attack the enemy by ramming and kicking in speeds as fast as 200kmph, Boudica still being able to brandish her spear.
When Boudica does not have enough sufficient battlefield space to use this Noble Phantasm to its fullest, she can also simply unleash the horses and chariots as controllable projectiles instead of riding on it. This usage takes far less mana to use over time, but it is telegraphed and not hard to see coming. It is however difficult to defend against, so the optimal use would be when the opponent has no room to avoid it, since the body of the chariot is quite large.
The Will of Andraste
Thousand Chariots of the Souls of Valor
Rank: A+
Type: Anti-Army
Range: 150
Max Targets: 250
Declaring the name of the goddess, Boudica, after calling upon her chariot like her previous Noble Phantasm, will summon additional copies of the chariot she rides - many, many of them will line up along her side, each led by a pair of these phantasmal horses and each chariot driven by souls of the Celtic warriors who fought alongside Boudica in their battles against Rome. They will band together and charge forward at their opposing force, trampling and ramming them in full speed before their temporary bodies disappear from the world in an explosion of magic, likely causing quite a bit of collateral damage to the surrounding area. This Noble Phantasm can only be used in a large, open space, obviously enough, and will be largely ineffective in a closed place with no room to maneuver.
The Will of Andraste cannot be used in conjunction with Goddess of Victory, and can only be executed twice before Boudica runs dangerously low on mana. This is her ultimate offensive skill made to obliterate her opponent no matter the cost, and she keeps it for the most desperate of situations.
