Some Questions for a Newbie

Initial rephrasing of a question I preemptive-ly placed on my "Hello-ing" in thread.

Anyway I saw that fictional characters are not allowed, and I assume this pertains only to characters created by the RPers here (Though I also assume it doesn't mean Masters only Servants), though aren't most myths fictional? I have no problems picking existing famous folk or mythological legends to play as, but was wondering if it was possible to make a wholly original Servant (Along the lines of say, Archer - The original character part, not being from the future or being Emiya Shirou part)?

And also two others, stemming from the above. Very much assuming that I will probably be using a historical / mythological character, I attempted to find one I could use in the Lancer role with little-to no dice, so I tried Archer-types instead and found two that I find I could enjoy using, the only problem is... well... their notability.

The first I found is Arash, of Iranian folklore: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arash_%28mythology%29

And the second would be Magoichi Saika, though wikipedia is woefully short on any details, and I've yet to do any other searching yet as I expect either misinformation or a lot of Japanese - which I can't read.

So I was wondering if anyone could give me a second opinion on either of those, or give me some suggestions instead?

(Just to get out of the way, I am aware of the Master before Servant rule and intend to make a Master if I cannot find someone to be a Master for the Servant).

The comments mean that you are allowed to use any story of a person who presumably lived and can use existing folklore and myth to round the rather dull real life story of that person up with the extra content to make a suitable servant. Exemptions of that are FSN Canon Heroic Spirits, who can be taken 1:1.

Masters have more Freedom and are in all sense of the meaning completely just creations by the Rpers, albeit certain Rules about Canon Families have to be considered. ..Like nobody will suddenly be Emiya Rinnosuke or something along those lines.

Completely self made content is not allowed, because we would otherwise have Darth Vader, Sesshoumaru, Batman or other characters in the RP, even if they were rewritten. The point is that the FSN system revives Heroes, and those would need to be known. If you make up your own character that person won't have any story at all, and you literally rewrite history by yourself, which we simply don't accept.

So, original characters are not allowed as servants. (Purely original.)

Neither of those characters has too much information about themselves. I personally prefer Saika, because you can do a lot with his personality, and Skill setting, albeit the NPs will get hard. Arash on the other hand might be a bit dull, but you can at least have a rather high range for shooting. Nevertheless he is still not up on par with some of the other Archers around here. In the End it is better to decide about your personality preference rather than just physical abilities though. Most of the Rping here is Interaction and Battle just on Place 2.

If you have a specific 'Hero' requirement you can also point out some points and hope that other people have some ideas about more concrete Hero Names. There are many who were taken, but still lots available. Yet, be as precise as possible with your wishes... because it just gets troublesome if you place one word into a request and expect other people to do all the thinking for you. While I admit seeing Darth Vader vs. Saber would probably be amazing. I understand the point and will continue the search for something not wholly fictional.

Yeah, that was more over my problem with them. While neither look too great in the ability department, I could probably scrape something up. The problem being the lack of much personality or historical detail. Currently looking for others or more info on them.

Ah right, my apologies, I knew I forgot something, I'd put it down to lack of sleep or the fact that I may not-so-secretly be an idiot. Preferrably lookin' for something that could fit in the Archer or Lancer classes, gender is irrelevant, and I think that covers it?
