- Taking books, libraries, and all things related as serious business Alan can get fired up when talking about them. When someone shows blatant disregard or disdain towards said subjects around Alan it will lead to a heated argument. With words preferably but fists if necessary.

- Life is too serious to take seriously and Alan doesn't hesitate to point it out. Loves to make jokes and puns about the world in general but mainly focuses on books. Isn't above playing pranks but never takes it to the point of physical injury. His sense of humor much like his personality is his own and is usually hit or miss with most.

- Like the rest of his lineage Alan loves books amking his library work heaven on earth for him. Not restricted to type Alan reads anything from comics to obscure philosophy. This obsession drives him to look for rare texts as well as ancient grimoires solely for the sake of reading. This encompasses his funds outside of living expenses.

- While it's not to the point that he gets buried in work, Alan will on occasion put off his duties for an hour or few to finish the newest book. It can wait is applied to most everything but books, thaumaturgy, and sleep.

- His life being centered around reading, Alan has increased his memory to take in pages at a glance. Due to his family's rune thaumaturgy he has developed his writing skills to match his reading speed though not at the same level.

MY FAMILY LINE: /It's hard to say exactly when the Moria's became a magus family but it's estimated to be in the Mid 15'th century. This due to the founder being a dock worker who kept sloppy records. The founder came across a grimoire late one night at some unnamed warehouse, which contained rune tahumaturgy and alchemical formulas. The founder did not waste time putting it to use by flipping off his boss and getting a job at the recently opened gold mine in Lucca. By day he sabotaged the dig, causing tunnels to collapse. By night he returned to dig up gold. When the owner of the mine decided to cut his losses our founder went in and bought it dirt cheap and built our family manor on top of the site. The rest is more or less a story of travel, exploration, and the storing of books.[/color]
Getting past the origin story our family has 28 circuits with a quality of 13 prc for a total of 364 prana.
The Moriae's magecraft is rune based and specializes in combustion, increasing the caster's baseline abilities, and the creation of bounded fields.
I've saved the clock tower for last on purpose. Our relationship with the clock tower is one of avoidance. While we are part of the Thule association we don't deal well with the arrogance of the tower lords. Mainly due to the fact that my family is just as arrogant and their egos tend to clash. /
MY HISTORY: /Eh there's not really much to say but I'll try to make it interesting. I was originally born in the states while my parents were on a trip to locate a specific Grimoire. More specifically I was born in Hell, Michigan which let's me say I was born in hell with a straight face. I was a disappointment and shame to my parents being born with less circuits and prana than what is normal within my family. Letting me know what a screw up I am has kept me from inheriting my family's arrogance on top of the already lacking prana.
I grew up travelling from place to place in search of ancient texts magical or otherwise with my parents trying to make them see beyond my circuits. Each one was an adventure of it's own and I'll do them justice by leaving it at that. The longest country I've stayed in for any length of time was Italy where we usually rested. It's the closest thing I can call a home aside from the random highways of my youth.
When not out like a literate knight errant I spent my time either in my family library, the local libraries, or learning magecraft.
Now I'm holding down the fort and working part-time at the piccolomini library while my parents are out traipsing around China. They said they were looking for an alternate history of the three kingdoms era yelling something about "turia" syndrome. It was hard to make out anything else over the jet engines./[/color]
MY GOALS: /Aside from long term survival not much. I just intend to live quietly with the occasional trips to search for texts new and old. Oh well there is the matter of making my parent's see me as a son instead of a stigma. My dream is to own a library that contains every book in existence past, present, and future. That or to become the god of libraries. Hahaha but how likely is that?/[/color]

Rune thaumaturgy- Being a specialty of his family Alan has extensive knowledge of various runes and their uses. Out of all of them he is the most adept with combustion runes, and runes that enhance his bodies abilities. Liar's fable is an example of the former, and the runes carved into his hands and feet the latter.
Bounded field-Mystic boundary separating one area from another. Alan has worked extensively on their use for a self-created spell. Detectable by magi on the level of masters but then again, alan wants them to find it.
Knife fighting- In a bid to compensate for his prana Alan has taken to reading self-help knife fighting books. Not having an actual master to teach him his skill with a knife is just enough to avoid a novice's mistakes.

Effect: [Uses groundwater present in the earth to rapidly errode the terrain causing a sinkhole to appear swallowing up those unlucky enough to be caught in it. Can be used to impede movement or drag those caught down into the earth for suffocation. Width of the hole is 6 meters but can increase with the increase of ground water.
The speed that occurs using the basic form takes 5 seconds for the hole to appear as high speed erosion occurs. Speed at which the spell occurs will vary when creating bigger holes. Rule of thumb from what Alan has practiced is 2 seconds for every 3 meter increase.

Effect: [An offensive type bounded field. An original spell created by Alan using his own 3 elements to their fullest. Liar's fable is set up with a mixture of runes. When activated the field will create various illusions to those deemed hostile to the caster. When Alan escapes the bounded field it shows it's true story to it's unfortunate readers heating up to 900 degrees celsius around the boundaries. This turns the chalk into quicklime which is flooded throughout the field at high speeds by a surge of water drowning the reader of the fable in fiery death. At higher levels it takes on the likeness of greek fire.
When using illusions the fable can recreate human images that can pass as the real thing be it an image of the caster or another. Alan has to have seen the person/object with his own eyes before he can use their image since the template is drawn from his retina. The same can be done with sounds but Alan will ahve to not only hear the sound but be able to pair it with the image. Note that these are only illusions not gradation air or tracing. It does not recreate the object/sound only the illusion of it. Thus there will be no kagebunshin no jutsu bullcrap going on with this spell. Although to those who are fooled will feel the illusion of solidarity. Still no damage is done to the target even if this occurs. Those with resistance rank D or below will be completely fooled by the illusions. Those with C will notice errors in the illusion's behavior. B and above will pierce through the illusion. Those who are very familiar with the reproduced illusion (person) will have a higher chance of piercing the illusion.
Upon activating the field for a combustive use it will collapse. When used only for illusions it can be used repeatedly.
Rank D for when only illusions are used. Starts at rank C when used offensively. Rank increases to B when chalk is used to form the boundary instead of creating quicklime from prana.
