- Battle Hungry
- For the Edelfelts, fighting is not just a hobby. It's a way of life. Any opportunity for battle, any chance to kick some poor sod's ass, and time that her blood boils enough, you can count on Lempi to take advantage of and start a fight. Not a lot of things entertain her more than being able to revel in the joy of battle. Because she's so eager to get into fights, other things like diplomacy might be ignored
because negotiation is boringfor the sake of starting a rumble.

- Traditional Magus
- Honour, family, tradition, nobility. Lempicialynn adheres to all four of these tenets, and values these things above all else. Nevertheless, she will not forget her humble journey, the mockery she faces from above, and is less of an elitist discriminator than those above her. She nevertheless has major qualms about spending and can be seen as a bit of a cheapskate, despite their great wealth. Her rage against firearms is far more pronounced than most other magi, as she, a member of one of the greatest battle families in the world, was humiliated by some thugs with guns and the element of surprise.
- The Ultimate Battle Strategy! Blazing Sister Power!!
- Though it might seem sappy, Lempi sincerely believes that Ore Scales' power is useless when the two sisters do not work closely together. She sees it as an expression of sisterly love as shown in its effectiveness in battle. Lempi's affection and adoration for her elder sister of six minutes is such that she would give her life without hesitation to protect her.
- Honour Before Reason
- Lempi does not cheat. She does not lie, she does not backstab, she does not break promises, she does not fight unfairly... Basically, she possesses a warrior's pride and honour, and would sooner lose fair and square rather than win through subversive means.

STRENGTHS: //
Needless to say, based on reputation alone, Lempi is a force to be reckoned with. She is called the Red Comet for her ability to hit fast, and hard. More skilled in martial combat than most magi, she believes in the philosophy of fighting as a way of life, as such having chosen Capoeira for its fusion of dance, music, and battle. She is an expert in a cheap but effective curse called Gandr. Being an Edelfelt grants her access to unique jewel-based magecraft for instant high-level spells limited only by their number.
Lempi adheres to a strict personal honour code, and can be trusted to be trustworthy. She harbors a deep-seated loyalty to her sister.
WEAKNESSES: //
It's one thing to be bad at cooking, like a spoiled rich kid. It's another thing to be bad at cooking and insisting on cooking anyway. This has led to many kitchen disasters for Lempi, who just doesn't seem to learn her lesson and continues in her efforts to perfect her art at roasting pork. However, the only thing she seems to be perfecting is the art of scorching perfectly good meat in horrible ways that would make any chef whack her on the head with a spatula out of frustration.
A traditional magus, Lempi's pride has been pricked by guns, and she now hates them with a passion. To avoid using guns is one thing, to actively seek to make something better is another. A revulsion beyond normal. As a member of the old families, proud of her pedigree, her overconfidence can sometimes get ahead of her rational thinking. Combined with her natural love for battle, this can have her steamroll into a fight without even planning first. This has gotten her into trouble more than once in the past.
Lempi's fighting style is mostly close quarters. Even when taking her twists on Gandr into account, range has been foregone for the sake of close-in butchering power. Her aristocratic bent might not be that severe, but her insistence on winning the war through the power of pure sisterhood makes the possibility of forming alliances difficult. Nevertheless, this same aristocratic bent keeps her bound to the idea of adhering to a set of personal conduct with regards to battle, just to make it fair. A victory through unscrupulous means is a hollow victory.

MY FAMILY LINE: //
As naturally a child is born between the unison of man and woman and this case is not any different from the natural result. The father's part of the family has their begin in Ireland, from the Druids. They began to learn the shamanic arts and magic quite early, studying the arts of eternal life and witchcraft. During countless wars and the inevitable hunt after them, reduced also the family's numbers significantly. A few survived and reached the main continent of Europe where they hid themselves away from society, albeit still practicing the arts. Due to evolution of family and group systems, part of them settled elsewhere while a small faction remained in Sweden. Their old name long forgotten, the Blomqvists continued their research for eternal life, having already forgotten about the magic of old, and becoming modern magi as a result. Historians, greatly interested in mythologies, the Nordic Myths and gods seemed to be fascinating and they assumed that if there really happened to be something like another sphere, where heroic spirits would reside, they could also be recalled into a human shape. But their studies bore no fruit, instead they began to see their lack of aptitude and reached out into the distance for other sources. This was the moment when they found out about the Third Magic and the Einzberns, while they apparently had already lost it back then. They still continued with their strive for knowledge, but even pitiful attempts to enter their noble family and gain wisdom failed, only resulting in horrible losses. The family, their new established routine just barely established 200 years ago could not match the ferocious might of the Einzbern clan. Nonetheless, their attempts were not totally in vain and they created their own unique magic, yet rather than reviving someone from the dead or summoning a heroic spirit, it only was capable of activating the genes of a mother to find the entire genetic code and choose the best elements of the most recent times, to give birth to the most suitable offspring. But the clan was weak, less than a dozen of magic circuits, since long fallen from their great ancestor a real druid, and a capacity that brought tears to the historians of their family. Their future was pitch black and their hope dim, always having male successors, who could activate the effect, but for obvious reasons not get any children and their inability to find suitable mothers made it even more difficult. It was only matter of time for the family to fall into ruins and freelancing magi, one of those was our father.
The Edelfelt family, one of the older families and stemming from a Finnish lineage always had been more warriors than actual magi and fighting delight in the heat of battle and the thrill and pleasure it gave them, while plunging their enemies into the depths of despair. Specializing in the art of Jewel magic and a special curse, known as Gandr, made them very high regarded individuals within the Magic Association and thorough in whatever they might end up doing. Despite not one of the great houses, one with a bright future, but the gods of war were not always with them. The family's sorcery trait Ore Scales allowed them to have two magicians as successors for the lineage, while other families having more than one suitable candidate would throw the family into chaos, eventually resulting in the entire destruction. A remarkable example was the demise of the Japanese Aozaki family, but this was something the Edelfelt could care less about. They managed to become a spot in the 3rd Grail War and sent two sisters, yet their relation was not the best, twists and illwishing struggle tore their family bounds apart and the vixens of battle failed in their desired goal of winning the war. The younger sister was beaten by another war partitioner, a Japanese named Tohsaka and the older sister decided to leave the battlefield in shame and anger. This tarnished the otherwise unbeaten image of the Edelfelt family and also made them bear a grudge against Japanese people, especially the Tohsaka family and the younger sister, as well as her crest were lost to the enemy. Her fate unknown to the world, some assume that she might have become a part of the Tohsaka family, but this grave insult to the Edelfelt family would be unthinkable. Many years later, the family was split once again because of a quarrel. The older sister not capable of following up with the tasks and given role as a suitable family head, left the family house to live on her own, while the younger sister took the position of the heir. Although this young girl, not interested in the least for nobles, money and their so important thoughts about lineage, she had to do as instructed and set up a mask of elegance and calm resolve. One of the best in the Clock Tower and despite the family's hatred for Japanese not following up to the exact wavelength as many others in the Clock Tower, who saw Asians as inferior beings. Not able to sustain the bad environment, bored out of her mind, she began to detoriate from inside and began to assume that only the biggest of risks could eventually even bring some life into her. Already at the breaking point, she set out on a mission to destroy a Dead Apostle entirely on her own and was killed in action. The Apostle supposedly having died along, brought honor to the family, but it could not overshadow the loss.
Meanwhile the older sister was living her life like a normal person and found great pleasure in it also finding her great love in a younger man and was very unhappy when she heard about her younger sister's death. Less because she really had liked her, but because the future was depending on her again and receiving the crest was only increasing this problem, yet not as much as another crest, supposedly of Edelfelt heritage returning to the families over long routes from the Furthest East and that she could impossible tell her husband that she was supposed to lead a family of magi. Some years passed and two children, twins were born. Two girls, who had to carry on the family traditions. Granting both the honor of receiving a crest from their fore(mothers), she hoped that they would not go apart as she and her sister, supporting each other and allowed them to improve and hone their skills to the max, by having them attend the Clock Tower.
The Edelfelt, a family with tradition can call themselves lucky enough to have good and long time developed Crests as well as a fairly high number of natural inborn Circuits. It would not be strange to have 30 or more while the quality is about average between 10 to 20 and specialize in battle oriented, fast incanted spells and jewelry magic, deemed for the very same purpose, rather than long and extremely powerful spells. Furtherly building up their repertoire in physical enhancement, strengthening and training of various combat arts rounds up their repertoire of skills.
MY HISTORY: //
Asian.
That is how I look.
Dark hair, uncharacteristic of the Finnish, and combined with other little traits that are alien to my pedigree. Mamma said it was not a problem. I always thought it was. Genetics can be a very funny thing. Isi can be traced furthest back to the Irish, while Mamma is from our very own side of the family. And what about me? The only explanation is a fluke, an unholy combination of Isi's genetic magecraft and the second crest that had been returned from the East, a crest that had been stolen by the Japanese nearly a hundred years ago.
Surely, three generations of interference from that accursed family would be more than enough to dirty this crest's circuits with their own. Mamma still said it was not a problem. But I knew better. There could only be one reason I looked this way, that this body, perhaps even this soul, once belonged to that which represented the pinnacle of that wretched family.
The immediate family always overlooked it. Or they didn't mind. It certainly didn't get in the way of Siskoni and I being close as we should be. But some of the relatives from the branch families weren't as loving. No, I would see a cousin look at me in green-eyed envy. "Why did she get the second crest?" "It only fits since a tainted child deserves a dirty crest." These were the comments I usually heard.
It got stranger when we were sent to the Clock Tower. Those in the lower echelons went by name. They asked no questions. The powerful ones, on the other hand... well, let's just say I get the occasional condescending glare. It pricks the ego, certainly, but a true Edelfelt endures it to the end. Yes, Edelfelt. For most modern magi, learning an art of combat is a necessity for survival. For Edelfelt, it is a way of life. The name itself is one that instills terror when it comes to battle. And this is something we are very proud of.
I did my research, and called upon the tutleage of a Master of the Brazilian art Capoeira. It is an integrative culture, combining the elements of music and dance with fighting. Parallels can be drawn between it and my family, to revel and celebrate the joy of battle, to beat and fight in tune to the drums of war. It took my mind off the problems of this curse. In fact, I had grown so overconfident that early in my training, I once snuck out into the world, to test my prowess. Some armed thugs looking for an easy rich catch almost killed me. Taking me by surprise, and with superior numbers and... guns. They probably attacked because of my nice dress, sheer indication of nobility.
I was seven.
Siskoni saved me, of course. Since then, I've been preparing for the day that I may repay the favour. I would not wish any harm, especially not to my dearest sister. But I had always, for some strange reason, had an aversion to debt of any kind. This is despite the fact that we can afford pretty much anything. Since then, I've also been fashioning my personal variant of the family favourite curse, Gandr. Those thugs had the element of surprise, and high-powered... guns...
I swore never to lose to such filthy weapons again. They had me outclassed. Never again.
Time passed, and I learned to focus on my studies and training, to ignore the glances and the whispers about me. Yes, even as Siskoni and I grew up, supporting and encouraging each other in our combined efforts, it became far more bearable. Being alone with nobody but her reminded me, that I did not fight this battle by lonesome. Yes, we had our moments of conflict, but those were settled quickly. In time, the scathing words and gestures no longer mattered.
That is the power of sisterhood. Some might think it secondary to that of Ore Scales, but it really encompasses both. The true strength of the sorcery trait is when the two crests work alongside each other, overpowering the enemy because there are two crests, two sisters, fighting side by side. Turn one against the other, and it becomes no different from any other family of magi.
For me? The ultimate test of this is the ultimate challenge, the only challenge where our illustrious family had failed. The cause of failure? They broke apart. Clearly, the objective is to regain the honour we had lost, to fight back the disgrace we had been handed, to prove... that as sisters, we are invincible.
My name is Lempicialynn Edelfelt. I have inherited the curse of Tohsaka. And I don't care anymore.
MY GOALS: //Win the war and regain the family honour

Combat Gloves
Jewels
Along with fighting, Jewels are the Edelfelt family specialty. As the War is a major investment, it is only understandable that they would be provided with everything that is deemed necessary to win. Their manor on the outskirts of town holds a large supply of jewels flown in from the home estate. Nevertheless, it would be stupid to carry around anything more than a handful at a time. Additionally, this can be seen as a handicap to make it 'fair' for any opponents she might run into.

Jewelry Magecraft - The type of Thaumaturgy that House Edelfelt specializes in, jewels are said to be able to absorb and accumulate the thoughts of its owners, so the same thing is valid for prana. Among the jewels of the world, there are those that spent years under the ground having contact with the spirits of nature. These special jewels became "stained" with power of said spirits and can be used as a simplified type of Thaumaturgical Crest.
Once prana is imbedded into a jewel, it will be tinted by the mystical properties of the stone, and the magus can then use that power whenever and in whatever way he finds necessary. A specific example would be the topaz, which has properties that makes it optimal for anti-spirits tasks. Within a few limits, is possible to modify the properties of a jewel so it can be used for different purposes, but as a consequence its efficiency will not be optimal.
By releasing all the energy of the jewel at once, it will produce the effect that is most tuned for at maximum power, but at the expenses of burning out the jewel to ashes. Depending of the amount of prana stored inside the jewel, it is possible to cast a High Thaumaturgy-level spell instantly. The same rules apply if the magus decides to use the jewel as a single use explosive. It is possible to preserve the jewel by simply removing the power stored from inside of it and use that to strengthen a spell cast by normal means, but overall effect will be decreased.
The knowledge of this magecraft was stolen from the younger Edelfelt sister who participated in the Third Holy Grail War by the leader of the Tohsaka family. This has resulted in the Edelfelts' general dislike for the Japanese and deep grudge against the Tohsakas, who hurt their pride as one of the most infamous battle magus lineages in the world.
Capoeira - an Afro-Brazilian art form that combines elements of martial arts, music, and dance. It was created in the Congo and was brought to Brazil by slaves from Africa, especially from present day Angola, sometime after the sixteenth century. It was developed in the region of Quilombo dos Palmares, located in the Brazilian state of Alagoas and has had great influence on Afro-Brazilian generations, with strong presence in the states of Bahia, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Participants form a roda, or circle, and take turns either playing musical instruments (such as the Berimbau), singing, or ritually sparring in pairs in the center of the circle. The sparring is marked by fluid acrobatic play, feints, takedowns, and extensive use of leg sweeps, kicks, and headbutts. Less frequently used techniques include elbow strikes, slaps, punches, and body throws. Its origins and purpose are a matter of debate, with theories ranging from views of Capoeira as a uniquely Brazilian folk dance with improvised fighting movements to claims that it is a battle-ready fighting form directly descended from ancient African techniques.
Lempicialynn is an expert in the Capoeira Regional style, which leans more towards the fighting aspect of the art. This only makes sense, since she studies it for, well, fighting. She holds the rank of Aluno Graduado, the Capoeira equivalent of a Black Belt. This art was learned by using her family connections to find a superior Capoeira Mestre and bring him all the way from Brazil to London to train her.
Body Reinforcement
Reinforcement (強化 kyouka) is the most difficult magecraft with the purpose of pushing a basis to the utmost. It is the foundation of all magecraft that enhance the existence of the target by pouring prana, but as no clear expression of how much it can be enhanced is defined, almighty reinforcements are rare. It is the same as adding something to an object that is already complete, in case of failure the target will receive it as a poison. Success requires a good grasp of the inner structure to fill openings with prana. Reinforcing the purpose of existence would be increasing the sharpness of a knife, the nourishment of food, or in the case of a living creature, physical strength and durability. It is impossible to reinforce something vague. As living things will resist invasion of your prana, reinforcing someone else is the hardest. By putting this in application, Emiya Shirou is able to create a bow out of the branch of a tree, repair a soccer ball, or change the shape of an object.
Reinforcing an animate object is even more difficult, and considered an art in itself. Combat Oriented Magi might reinforce an arm or a leg of their body to increase their chance of survival. Lempicialynn lives a high-risk lifestyle, frequently going out of her way just to have fun beating up some random thugs. She is able to reinforce her entire body at high speed and great precision. A normal human who is unfortunate enough to get into her range can only hope for mercy.
MAGIC CIRCUITS: // Lempi has 31 Magic Circuits at 17 PrC, for a total of 527 Pr.
SPELLS: //
Fin Shot - Aavikkokotka (Desert Eagle) (Curse)
Rank: E
Cost: 5 Pr
Range: 60m, Single Bolt
Effect:
A simple curse originated from Scandinavia, decreases the physical health of the target. Because the curse properly said is released from the caster’s index finger and the target must be within the field of vision to be aimed at, it is dubbed Gandr Shot. A Gandr with so much prana concentrated into it that becomes capable of physical interference is called Fin Shot. Tohsaka Rin’s Fin Shot has roughly the destructive power of a pistol bullet and while a single hit is not enough to kill someone, is still capable of knocking out a normal person. The Edelfelt are among the best Gandr-users in the world.
A Single-Action spell, highly stabilized in the Edelfelt Crest, as to the fact that they are some of the best users of this simple curse in the world. Lempi's version has the equivalent firepower of a .600 Nitro Express cartridge. Due to the recoil (yes, its physical interference is powerful enough to produce recoil), it has a cool-down time of 0.8 seconds. For bonus points, the bolt explodes into shrapnel upon penetration, causing severe organ damage once it gets inside a person.
Unlike weaker Fin Shots, it is actually only a pseudo-single-action spell, which functions like a gun at its core. The spell itself must be prepared in advance, chanting four lines to construct a compartmentalization system to facilitate the "construction" and "loading" of curse bolts into a conceptual "gun". After this "gun" is constructed, it has a "clip" that can allow the user to fire 12 bolts at single-action speed before it becomes necessary to "reload". "Reloading" is one line that basically cycles the user's internal prana to manufacture more curse bolts, thus letting her shoot again.
In effect, one can say that with this compartmentalization, it is possible to control the amount of prana spent in a given time. This is more a matter of necessity than anything else, as each bolt is relatively costly for its rank, and Lempicialynn can only "load" several "clips" before exhausting her supply of prana, which should be used for other things. Also, due to lack of originality, she named this version after the Desert Eagle, a .50 caliber handgun with monstrous recoil. Of course, given its performance, her name for it is erroneous.
Lempi developed it to outperform guns, which, as we all know by now, humiliated and traumatised her in her childhood.
Karkeat Haulit (Curse)
Rank: D
Cost: 10 Pr
Range: 5m, 32-pellet circular spread shot
Effect: Finnish for "Buckshot". Evidently, this is a variation of the Fin Shot that was meant to have the same performance as the No. 4 Buckshot used in big-game and combat shotguns. Unfortunately, since she never bothered to study guns, it actually outperforms it by having more pellets. It is a CQB Butchering attack that fires 32 6mm curse pellets at close range. Said pellets additionally also explode upon impact causing severe anti-personnel damage. Its dismal mid- and long-range accuracy requires the user to get up-close and personal with her target, something that the Edelfelts would prefer anyway. It is fired from an open palm and has a cool-down time of five seconds. Typically, this is used as a coup de grace, particularly against an opponent who has been pinned down.
A one-liner spell with the incantation "Ammu! Laukaise!" Which is basically a redundant statement meaning "Shoot! Fire!" in Finnish. It obviously has connotations of aggression that the Edelfelt are well-known for. A personal variant that Lempicialynn developed to complement her fighting style, Capoeira, which frequently involves leg-sweeps and takedowns.
Reinforcement (Reinforcement)
Rank: C
Cost: 20 Pr
Range: -
Effect: Only meant to reinforce the strength and reaction time of a limb and the hardness and speed of hand and feet to turn them into weapons. It also increases her toughness and resistance against attacks on the head or torso as well, albeit the hardness of the skin can't be improved without turning it into something inhuman, ending up killing oneself.
Although not the strongest kind of reinforcement, still in the upper region and costly because of its instant and long lasting effect. The effect lasts for 15 minutes. Instant Activation.
Jewel (Jewel)
Rank: D-A
Cost: 1 Pr
Range: -
Effect: Jewels are basically stored spells. The jewels will be lost including the spell after they were 'casted', but allow an instant result, even for high level spells, but this depends entirely on the jewel. High quality and expensive jewels can hold more prana than low level jewels and of course need longer to charge. Lempicialynn only requires a one word command and a little amount of prana to trigger the jewel spell. All stored spells are standard spells, taught in clock tower.
