TITLE: // Asterion, the Minotaur[/color]: //
RANK: // Anti-Servant
APPEARANCE: //
INFORMATION: //
The Minotaur, slain by Theseus, was a terror of Greek Mythology. As many heroes of Greek Mythology are spawned as Servants, so too does the Grail spawn their monsters.
Asterion has power on par with a servant, with skills to match; it would be very nearly impossible to defeat him without such a hero. His strength, speed, and endurance are all high, and he's capable of fighting through heavy wounds. Animal instinct and monstrous power guide his fighting, making him a match for even battle-hardened heroes. The Minotaur's years in a dark labyrinth sharpened his senses to a fine edge, making it impossible to sneak up on him.
While monstrous, Asterion is quite intelligent. Something between human intellect and animal cunning results in a bright an inventive opponent, who will not be tricked into silly attacks like charging headfirst into walls or the like. Asterion is a patient hunter, who tracked his prey through ancient mazes, picking them off when it was most advantageous. He can stalk prey for days, and though he has no supernatural talent for Presence Concealment, he is a natural stalker and will take advantage of his Field of Detection to track a target without having to be near them.
He can activate his Monstrous Strength, turning his already formidable strength into something unreal, but this will cost him his ability to think clearly. In this mode, he flies into rages and his attacks take on a ferocity where he'd otherwise exercise patience. In this mode, he is all but fearless and will not break off the fight until it decided, one way or another.
WEAPONS
A heavy wooden mace encircled with spikes and nubs, capable of doing heavy damage. Asterion also has heavy hands for punching, and his horns are very sharp.
SKILLS: //
Instinct A+
Refined sixth sense is now close to true precognition. Bonus effect of reducing by half the penalties caused by obstructed vision and hearing. Asterion's lifetime within a dark labyrinth made him an expert at blind-fighting, on top of his animal instincts for combat. He also has an innate, instinctive sense of direction, and will not get lost.
Battle Continuation B
Capable of ignoring all penalties that damage might cause while still suffering in the end through amassed battle damage.
Field of Detection A
Detects presence of others within a particular distance. Combined with Presence Concealment, this ability is optimal for reconnaissance. Counters Presence Concealment.
Monstrous Strength B+
An ability possessed by monsters and beasts, temporary boost of the Strength parameter by one rank for a time limit determined by the ranking of this skill. Asterion can maintain this for an hour, at the cost of being able to think clearly, making him more animalistic and enraged. While using Monstrous Strength, Asterion gains Bravery equal to rank B
